    Great video! Can you do a tutorial on how to line up oversize decals that are split into multiple pieces?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 роки тому +1

      Sure! I can work on one to post in the future, as that's one that could be helpful. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!

      I do have another video already made that may be helpful. Slightly different, but the concepts within can be applied to line up multi-piece large decals.

    Great explanation. When using the built-in roller(Cameo4) what makes the vinyl re-roll when moving backwards?
    I also like how you put the entire thing up first to line it up by eye since floor to ceiling heights vary over distance in commercial buildings.

      Thanks and thanks for watching! For your question, as I don't have a Cameo 4 (I have the 3) I'm not familiar with that model's built in roller. However, for the attachment I have, when the roll is moving back, the roll hold is loose enough that it just re-rolls. Or, if I have the vinyl loose, meaning the length of vinyl not in the Cameo is drooping over the side down to the floor, it's been the same experience. I might recommend if you are going to do a long length, "roll through" the roll you intend to use (to check and make sure somewhere down the line it won't misalign) and when you roll it back, see what it does. That way you'll know for sure.

    What knife do you use in you Silhouette Cameo? :) Im planning to use Oracal foil, both 651 and thinner, do you have the best idea? What I can read on Internet a fixed knife 1 or 2 mm is better than the automatic knife I have now from factory.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 місяці тому

      I typically use the stock autoblade for most things, to include 651. I did by a rachet blade as well (Silhouette brand) that I also have mounted and keep at depth setting 1.

    how would you make a large rainbow temporary wall decal

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Рік тому

      Depending on the arc of the rainbow, you'd have to do it in multiple sections lengthwise as well as for each color.

    Only the first few letters of my design are showing up red to actually cut. How do I fix this?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  7 місяців тому

      It sounds like maybe your layout might not be sized correctly? Without seeing what you are, I don't know for sure. But around 2:30 in the video, I show how to adjust the layout of the "cutting" area by setting it to a custom size bigger than the graphic. In the page setup menu, ensure cutting mat is set to none. Then below that on the width and height custom sizes, adjust the length (or height, depending on how you are orienting your graphic) according so that it's bigger than the actual graphic you designed. Hopefully this helps.

    Mine won't go past 120in & I need 132in. I have a cameo 4 pro How can I get it to change?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  6 місяців тому

      My best guess it's that you might need to make adjustments on the custom media size settings. If that still doesn't work, you could cut your graphing in sections. Meaning, if you were cutting out the same graphics in this video, maybe cut out "So that one may" and then cut out "walk in peace" after, and then just apply it in sections as demonstrated in the video.

    With a cameo cutter, could I make a bible verse to place on a bench? Verse would be 2 lines probably, and measurement I want to make it is to fit a 4 ft x 4 inch area. I dont own a cameo, but watching videos to determine if I want to buy one.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 місяці тому

      I don't see why not. As far as specific sizing, you'd have to play around with it a bit since fonts have different height to width ratios My recommendation after applying the wording would then be to seal the letters in with some sort of durable clearcoat to ensure they don't get peeled or picked away. Thank you for watching!! Sorry for the late reply.

    I tried cutting but when it cuts the letters are over cutting on each other.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 роки тому

      Assuming you are using Silhouette Studio, if you have letters that touch, be sure to use the weld function first. Otherwise, your Cameo will cut where the letters that touch overlap.

      Thanks for watching and for the feedback. Yeah, I do need to work on that. Are there specific sections (time stamps helpful) in particular so I can see/hear what I'm doing to then improve/reduce rambling?

      Always has to be someone to be negative! I feel like he didn’t ramble at all. He actually did his job and was extremely detailed and thorough. Probably will save me so much time and money.
