I have been trying dip powder on and off for the past few years and I absolutely hate how the brushes get hard. I had never thought about wiping off the product in between nails. Thankyou for this handy tip! I feel more ready to take on dip nails again :)
I work in inventory and I have always been afraid to get tips with acrylic or gel so I just got dip powder, and since i've been home I decided to learn how to dip powder my own nails. Love how they turn out and how EASY it is!! One day i'll be able to get tips and not break my nails at work haha
I was using dip powder before finding your gel kit. I'm no professional and honestly wish I knew about everything available to add strength to natural nails. I'm kinda upset I've been ruining my long natural nails with acrylic all these years. Now I'm all about that Synergy gel, and since the trial kit was the only 1 available on your site its what I ordered first and there's so much product for a low price. Please do a video using the different gels on different nails for me. I used concealer pink, and there's just so much invitation for a non professional to get confused (it's me, I'm confused) but my natural nails are now long and STRONG thanks to the Synergy gel system.
YESSS!!!!! my nails have taken a beating since this whole pandemic. I have not stopped working outside my home and the constant handwashing and hand sanitizer and gloves my nails are hating me!
Because of medication I am taking, my hands started shaking so I can’t paint my nails like normal. I decided to try nail dip for the first time today on my natural nails, which are shorter and thin.I am happy to say they look pretty nice and dipping the colour made it easier to do myself without shaking too much. Next time I will whip off my brush, because I understand what you mean about not being all shiny. I also like how my nails feel much stronger. Great video, I just subscribed.
Those nails look so pretty! Just because of 'life' and using the computer a lot, I tend to keep my nails shorter. It's always nice to see nails done shorter. THANKS
The pour over method is my favorite!!! I use a baby spoon and baking cups to catch my excess that way I can look through it and pour back in and make sure nothing else gets in there that doesn’t belong
Great video very informative and helpful. I personally don't like dipping systems,.. but this is amazing. You teach very well. I miss your videos Tracey. Xx
I got tips and acrylic every 2 weeks for about 7 years straight and took them off a couple months ago to let them heal and I had almost no real nail left. I made the very stupid decision to put them back on a week ago and I hate the feeling. I know my real nail under them is thinner than tissue paper and peeling and bendy and will be soo painful when I take them off again. Is dip an option for me at this point? I was thinking it could be a good alternative because theyre so short now too from the peeling and id just like to have a hard protective layer over all the years of damage. Thank you!!
@@shearbeauty4445 it is definitely stain proof and long lasting but I can highly recommend synergy gloss top coat which is also stain resistant and long lasting and super shiny. The stain resistant is in the bottle and gloss in a tub so it depends on what you like. Both have an inhibition layer or "sticky" layer after being cured so be sure to wipe afterwards. I also use finish gel, ManiQ top and conversion top for different things with NO issues ❤️
Thanks for that video. I never get the same retention with dipping as I have with gel. Maybe some more videos with trouble shooting for dipping or a dipping powder removal? 😊
I've been stuck in doing my own nails for just over 2 month. They last as long as when my tech does them and look almost identical. How guilty should I feel being in no rush to go back anytime soon? thnx
Young nails your bomb asf !!! your kit is absolutely amazing it did not disappoint !! I have 9 powders and they all look amazing !!! I would just recommend putting a nail cutter in the kit lol that is all i need 😂😂😂
Truly love all of these videos! Can you do one hand with the slick pour with monomer and one hand using the dip liquids? Id like to see if there is any color difference and compare times as well.
I’m intrigued by the slick pour technique. I was thinking of doing my own nails and this system seems like it’s pretty easy to use. I’m just curious…do you sell slickpour colors or can you use YN acrylic colors along with it. On your website there aren’t as many colors under the slickpour name. As a dip system, is this a different system from your acrylic Core or Speed kits?

It's a personal preference. Some people like the look of a sealed free edge, but you don't have to. It doesn't affect the wear of the product as long as you are prepping and applying the product correctly.
Do you need to use a natural or clear powder before the first coat of the color powder? And do you need a coat of a clear powder after you apply the two coats of dip color? Asking because this would save me two steps at work if I followed your video. Thanks!
It's possible, but you would want to talk to your health care provider about what exactly you are allergic to so you know which ingredient it is and can see which products do not have that.
I just came across this video and I like to try this technique for the first time as my nails are constantly peeling, chipping. I checked YN site and was gonna order the kit but have a question first , do I need curing light and how do I remover the product from my nails ? will regular polish remover or 100% acetone do the job ? thanks
No, with the resin method shown here you do not need a curing light. We prefer to remove product with an e-file, but you can remove as much as you can with an e-file or hand file and then soak in acetone. ua-cam.com/video/IrpCEp0JIKc/v-deo.html
Why would you not use the protein bond? Also are you resins made with harsh chemicals? I want to switch to yours because I feel the brand i am using is weakening my nails.
When do i dehydrate and when i dont? I ALWAYS use a isop.alkohol / acwton mixture. It is a bottle of iso.alk and a little sip aceton . I use it instead of " cleaner" to be honest. I do not really know WHEN to dehydrate with dehydrator. Maybe you can answer that sometime😊❤

I find the dip powders in the larger jars always make a mess when you open the jar. If I keep them sitting upright it helps, but it’s almost like it creates a vacuum so when you open the lid, it blows powder out. I feel like I waste so much product every time I open the jar!!! Anyone else have this problem with the 30G jars??

When working with the resin, the natural nail can sometimes lose its flexibility as it grows out and does not get moisture from the nail bed. If this is the case, (as long as you have properly prepped and applied your product) the natural nail may start to pull away. Make sure the nail stays hydrated using a good cuticle oil on a regular basis (Rose Oil or Citrus Sugar). You can also try using the Conversion Base and Top coats for your application rather than the resin as these gels have more flexibility to stay bonded to the natural nail than the resin does.

Dehydrate the nail after etching the surface of the nail before primer or in this case the #1 prep step
