"The ear is used to pick up what is already inside" - Sean Wilson
    Wow! That's too deep.
    Definitely came from inside🔥❤🙆‍♂️

"The ear is used to pick up what's already inside. The ear doesn't magically tell you what a chord is; it identifies what's inside of you, so you have to get those chords inside of you first"
This statement is deep. I've been learning a second language and this concept applies to that as well.

It’s crazy how this is all about placement. Whether it’s life or keys...the correct placement adds so much tastefulness and flavor to whatever we’re doing. I’m proud to be a member of the Sean Wilson Piano community. I’ll never approach this song the same again

That's a great perspective. Between the theory he's been trained on and the huge repository of chords he knows, he has an incredible ability to hear any variation. Amazing!! Sean's music vocab is a monster.

just spent like 10 min puzzling over the changes right before 7 min. Cmin11 to B7b5/F to F#maj9. The best I got isit's a 251, because it sounds like one. Cm11 serves as an Ab (2) B7b5 serves as a G altered (place a G and F underneath, it sounds great, and it has the tritone in G7 so it works anyway) then to the 1. If you break these 10 second bits down from Sean's channel you learn so much!

Sean Wilson is spot on with building music vocabulary-much like a baby then toddler builds vocabulary in language. Through DAILY practice, experience we find synonyms and antonyms, homonyms, compound words so on and so forth to speak this language. Same in music. God bless you brother Sean and all other brothers.
