How well do you think this would work downtuned? I'm looking for a guitar for low tunings, with a neck humbucker for sorta stoner rock tones & pseudo 60s baritone vibes but since I do tend to prefer single coil sounds overall, the Filtertrons seemed like a great option, nice and glassy for shoegaze and other genres.
@@piermolinari6682 I ended up getting the HB CST24 HB, really nice guitar for Doom Stoner. You don't get a ton of semi hollows in the genre maybe, but Josh Homme is known for using them so I thought it'd be wroth a go. It actually adds a resonance that's really useful for the sound.
Would like to see that review, too! I can send a Spark if I get it back eventually 😂 as I got the Spark and a Yamaha THR10II for comparing recently, looking for a practice amp. I do want to like the Spark. Dialing in a decent tone without the app isn't impossible I guess, but I couldn't. It is way better with the app, and you got loads of pedals there, but it takes some time. The patches from the cloud are useless in my eyes/ears. The overall sound is just waaaaay too bass heavy, and the EQ doesn't help there. The Yamaha: It is just dead easy to dial in a good or great tone in a matter of seconds, even without the app. Just like any amp. I don't miss all the effects of the Spark in the Yamaha. YMMV. I don't want to talk the Spark down, but there was a lot of hype about it. I got a lesson in whose reviews on UA-cam are just plain ads and whose aren't. The Spark sounds and feels like a MultiFX-Board with active speakers, and that's not a bad thing at all, while the Yamaha just feels like a real amp (it's hard to explain...). Still, I want to like the Spark...
@@ssm445 i have a katana 50 ..i tend to use the acoustic clean and crunch and not much else..i would also be using this on the spark...the spark is £200 and the yamaha is double. not that this is a bad thing..however i dont see the yamaha as a real tube amp at all..its an effect amp and it doesnt have as many effects as the spark or katana....so i see the yamaha as a waste of space to be honest...it doesnt sound like a tube amp and hasnt got many effects...i get what you mean it kind of acts like one when you dig in but it still hasnt got that sound..its like a stereo..the katana also has this issue..if you want a practice tube amp the blackstar ht1 mk2 is alot cheaper than the yamaha .there are a few tube amps for £400..but if you want many tones..get a katana or spark..i wouldnt get the katana air with the small speakers and the app is only for android and is a pain..the app for the bigger katanas are also on windows and is alot easier..many patches to get from facebook groups too..so you dont have to spend time messing about dialing things in that people would have you believe..you copy paste..done and the portable thing is so stupid i feel like hitting people when they mention it...yes the thr amp is tiny and a katana 50 is a bigger..when you are carrying the yamaha you will have nothing else in that hand but the amp..so it makes no difference at all what so ever if its a thr or katana you are carrying..its filling that hand either way....you will also be carrying a guitar which hardly fits in your pocket..its like a dead human..so you wlll be carrying it to a car from the house..how many people do you see out walking down the road with a guitar and a thr? none.they travel by vehicle..and if your bird is moaning over an amp..get shut of it and get a better one..coz if its moaning about an amp..im sure it moans about a whole load of other nonsense..
@@mattyburrows9059 Don't get fooled by Positive Grids cheesy pricing policies. I had 25% off and including tax, shipping, exchange, I paid €250 for it. I got the Yamaha THR10II for €280 new. Dont' get fooled by the list of funny effects in the Spark. The THR has a MUCH wider variety in tones, especially more cabs (that you can't even change on the Spark). Patches from FB and Cloud are for the tone deaf, sorry :). The whole "learn amp" or "jam amp" thing is spoiled by the app. It takes ages to open a track, even on FTTH, rendering it completely useless (it only works in UA-cam videos, but there is always a cut). I bought these two amps to go easy on my main amp (a Mesa Boogie Fillmore), for pure convenience when I can't crank, and for travels. Portability IS a thing. I can easily throw the THR in the legroom and hit the road, and I do that often since I got it, but I can't with my Mesa and even the Spark is inconvenient if you don't buy a bag with it. As said, the Spark sounds and feels like a MultiFX-Board with active speakers (or subwoofer only, which is my main complain about it), the Yamaha sounds and feels just like a tube amp, the response is exactly like on my Mesa. Yamaha did with the THR what NO other modeling amp I tried (incl. Katana, Spider and Cube) could do, not even remotely, and that's true amp feeling and non-digital tone. I don't like the company much, but I give credit where it's due. That said, my experience with Positive Grid customer support has been outstanding. The Spark is known to give hum and crackles and I had that problem, too, but after reporting that the amp is giving small electric shocks (not noticeable on the fingers), they sent out a new power supply. The shocks are also the reason for the often reported crackles. You can't feel it on the fingers, but we all know Henning likes to lick his guitar. He shouldn't do that while plugged in a Spark :) The thing about the bird is disturbing to say the least. Definitely not your business.

I received this exact model, same color last week shipped here in Canada. The action for me is way to high almost unplayable. I have to bring it to my luthier, I'll see after. Seems yours was ok? Did you set it up a bit ?
The set up on mine was bang in tune and to the point of minimal fret buzz out the box and sadly yes the action is still a little high, mainly on the e, b and g string BUT It still plays real smooth, especially lead licks...the harmonics too are really good.
@@adamdam Hello! Are there any problems with the setup right from the package? Are there automatic vibrato on the 3 strings when you are not doing them, i.e. problems with frets / tuning and the purity of the notes you make? Thanks in advance!

Is the guitar fully tuned and playing honest notes? Did you manage to make the height 0.6 millimeters?
@@ЕжиКкоторыйлюбитбенды I think the neck just needs levelling out a little due to fret buzz, actions a lil high but still feels very smooth to play, tuning is tight and intonated near perfect out the box, the tuners are very stiff though, but tuning is very stable due to the nature of the components. My opinion is just buy the guitar with a plain finish, for It's price It's one hell of a guitar but looks cheap due to the faux finish.
hell yeah I am psyched on getting a 3-p90 semi Guild that currently goes for 666 euro. Please give us an honest review on the devil;s spawn! the goldtop please!
Oh, man...it is an easy fix, just go to any guitar tech and tell him ti make it one pot wiring and use tone pot placement for that and leave volume pot place empty. That is what I would do if it is the only problem..
I have the sunburst version of this one. I bought it used but almost like new for 90EUR in early 2019. Those roswell FLT clones are superb. Mine is a weight relief version. The electronic cavitiy is huge so you could easily put 2 additional pots in there if you like a LP Style volume and tone shaping. Under the "half" pickguard is also a big cavity. So the whole lower part of the guitar is almost hollow. That makes the guitar a bit "headdy", not like an SG, just so slightly. I also noticed mine has different tuners, the small ones.
I've handled a half dozen of the HB's and ALL of them were heavy as hell. They aren't drying the wood enough because every species of wood they use ends up so heavy.
@@MatthieuGreen bought mine in june 2020 @ musicstore professional in germany: they are kluson MK6LN Round Backs Oval 6L, Nickel Art.-Nr.: GIT0020051-000 They were 22,90 euros
I have this guitar, joy to play, natural harmonics are strong, really nice clean tones, interesting when distorted BUT the finish to me looks like a laminate over the body of the guitar, It's a print, a fairly obvious and low quality image stuck to the guitar....really disappointing but for the price this guitar has so much going for it, especially that lovely toned fretboard! graphite nut too so no cheap nasty plastic there! Edit: also there are slight grooves here and there randomly pushed into the body...but do not match up to the stained IMAGE on the guitar, also the headstock on my particular model has loads of random round bumps nowhere near the grooves, really wished I just got this guitar in a plain or natural finish lol But again sound and feel wise its GREAT!

More dog in videos in the future, please.
Bridge looks nice
i like your honest reviews...spark amp review please
if they send me one I'm in... otherwise....
He shouldn't do that while plugged in a Spark :)
The thing about the bird is disturbing to say the least. Definitely not your business.
@@ssm445 i think the thr acts like a tube amp..but it certainly doesnt sound like one..its not thick and i just cant find the words..i like acdc .people think its just a touch of gain but its not....the katana you can change the frequency of each tone ..top top middle middle and so on .. you can match any tone and by adding one of the 60 pedals..you can also change the frequencies of that too..dont get me wrong this hasnt got the tube amp thing ..its more of a stereo hifi but im not too bothered as its just a practice amp for low volume because of neighbours.. there is no bluetooth either ..this is where it fails you need to be plugged in to the wall and the amp and youre plugged into the amp..wires for days....but this is my first amp as iam a beginner..so i dont think ive done too bad ....i couldnt comment on the spark..but it does look like its full of features..thats why we need a proper review that shows all of its features..not just half of a review...thats the whole point of a review..to review all of what it does..i was not aware of the youtube cut out thing and the app being a headache..this is why i was looking at the spark..the whole play along thing..chords coming up and all of that good looking stuff..also i wasnt aware you are stuck with tones..i thought you could change them as easy as the thr and was under the impression it was a thr on steroids..but if it still sounds like a hifi stereo and lacks in the app..its kind of pointless..you should do a review mate..there isnt a proper full review on the spark..ive learned more about the spark talking to you than i have watching videos .people get them for free and this is the issue we have..we need to know about the bad things..we need brutal honesty in review...snowflake reviews lol..im now thinking blackstar ht1 mk2 which will give me the tube amp thing but its a one trick pony.. i might get the thr if it gives you the tube amp sound...i will wait until december when lockdown is over and shops are open again so i can check the thr out...but thanks for the heads up on the spark amp
So are the tuners an easy swap? Could you replace them with decent locking tuners without modifications on the wood?
This Te90FLT Tele, sounds better than the Harley Benton Fusion T, to my ears :-)
I received this exact model, same color last week shipped here in Canada. The action for me is way to high almost unplayable. I have to bring it to my luthier, I'll see after. Seems yours was ok? Did you set it up a bit ?
Ok I wrote before the end. Ok so its normal. Ok Ciaoo
@@bobmusikk Hello, got a guitar? Are there any problems?
Great performance!!! Bravo!!!!
Hi dear sir. I would like to ask you... Can you replace the pickups with SD or other Humbuckers?
Great playing!
Great tune. Would be fun to learn.
Would this be better than a epiphone les paul standard
Someone in north america should load up amazon fullfillment centers with these
Is that real sandblast or just a paint "sanblast alike"? Wondering if that woodgrain is real?
Love your channel, love to hear cool accent… I’m from Tennessee, I should talk huh?
What size are the pickups? Would you be able to swap them out, or would you need to route the cavities?
This are Filtertron small ones. So regular humbuckers will not fit without routing.
Dude... You played your ass off in that intro!!!!
I sold mine because the volume knob is in the way and my hand kept hitting it.
Shame because it sounds great.
Oh, man...it is an easy fix, just go to any guitar tech and tell him ti make it one pot wiring and use tone pot placement for that and leave volume pot place empty. That is what I would do if it is the only problem..
Low budget sounds great! D
Good review!!!
Sounds GREAT with an AUSSIE amp! \m/ Achilles, made in Springvale, Victoria!
Does this have the new alnico 5 Roswell Filtrtrons?
Who's a good puppy? Who's a good puppy? WHO'S A GOOD DOGGIE!?!?
wow!! thats a badass guitar!!
what pedal came on at 12:53 ?
It's out of stock at Thomann would you like to sell it ?
Studio naming competition incoming?
I have the sunburst version of this one. I bought it used but almost like new for 90EUR in early 2019.
Those roswell FLT clones are superb.
Mine is a weight relief version. The electronic cavitiy is huge so you could easily put 2 additional pots in there if you like a LP Style volume and tone shaping. Under the "half" pickguard is also a big cavity.
So the whole lower part of the guitar is almost hollow. That makes the guitar a bit "headdy", not like an SG, just so slightly. I also noticed mine has different tuners, the small ones.
Does anyone know if you can fit a bigsby on this guitar?, I believe Thomann has a chlone Bigsby for around 100 Eur. Is it too heavy?
You get a like and comment just because of Bruno 🖤😭
Studio Purple, Studio Bruno
You need to get Bruno hearing protection🦮
What weight is it? People saying they are super heavy.
It's SOLID, holds the sustain and tone really well but yes quite weighty but I've always preferred that personally!
I've handled a half dozen of the HB's and ALL of them were heavy as hell. They aren't drying the wood enough because every species of wood they use ends up so heavy.
25 Euros for Klusons and 10 Euros for graphtech stringtrees (i hate these fenderstyles) , Done. Perfect guitar. The indonesian made ones are amazing)
Can you link 25euros Kluson tuners?I havent found this price, more 40-50 euros
@@MatthieuGreen bought mine in june 2020 @ musicstore professional in germany: they are kluson MK6LN Round Backs Oval 6L, Nickel
Art.-Nr.: GIT0020051-000
They were 22,90 euros
@@purplerocket666 Thank you!
Link to Lego sweatshirt please!
under the video... MrGugu
Studio 43?
The finish looks like it was printed on, or like one of those amateur stain jobs you see on a lot of people's DIY kit guitars
Depends on the DIYers ability. I have had great results with: www.wudtone.com/finishing-diy-kits/
Yeah I had this guitar and sold it in the end due to the horrible finish, It's like some cheap printed laminate.
@@adamdam I can understand that, but for me if it sounds good I don't care how it looks.
@@navigatori9797 I dunno, for me it's gotta look right whatever that may be, with a good sound.
13:09 oops no wammy bar! 😄
What about "S-two-dio" instead of "Studio B"? (And the first one then has to be called "S-one-dio"...)
