I got a green blast one of these and I like the thickness of the neck although it feels slightly Squier-ish. The action came nice and low with very little fret buzz. The pickups are full sounding yet have great clarity. Its got a Chapman vibe which i like. The look really gets compliments at gigs too! Great demo your musicianship is appreciated 💯

I picked one of these from from Thomann to Colorado in 4 days. For 53.00 shipping. I love it. I have a Lespaul, 2 strats, a PRS custom 24, 335 and now im reaching for this 150.00 guitar because it plays beautifully. Sounds great clean or with drive…it is hard to believe its so cheaply priced… Great review as always Jon thank you!….

This beauty has a tone and a look all it’s own Jon. They sound lovely and individual. Much better than the Humbuckers on my Te 90 HH. The fretboard also looks nicer than mine. FYI... I spoke with a rep as I was originally interested in the Red Blast and they confirmed they will not do another production run on it (unsure if that will apply to the others colors, but then that one did sell out quickest, apparently). Word to the wise.

I'm always so blown away by your playing....just as tasteful as it can be ! Do you do your own guitar set ups Jonathan ? I recently bought a (very heavy) HB TE-53KR Keith Richards Tribute and the frets at a bit rough...and I'm a bit leery to file them, and check the truss rod and bridge.
I just got a really great deal on a used one today, but even brand new this is already a killer deal for the price. Can't wait to play it. I really love your tone. Just realized...it matches your hair color! Great pick. Don't like the pick guard color. It distracts from the beautiful wood grain. A transparent pick guard would have been better.

It would be my 1st "serious" electric guitar and I won´t play heavy fuzzy stuff. The HB TE90 is a great guitar if you want a telecaster that is more comfortable than the standard plank of wood from Fender, But not in that finish! i had a satin black guitar and had to wear gloves before picking it up! I love this model, but the super light neck bothers me, I wish they offered it with an ebony fretboard or maybe a roasted maple neck with a painted headstock that matches the pickguard

I have Many Harley benton guitars they are nice guitars but II hate the Roswell pickups I have 1 harley Benton with the Filtertrons. Love the sound. why don't they use them on more of their modelsi i.e. S typeor T type????

Seriously thinking about getting a guitar with filtertron pickups....this one has me intrigued. Do you have any other suggestions for guitars with filtertrons to check out? I know there is the Schecter PT Fastback that is similar and some Gretsch models that are 2-3 times more than this Harley Benton.
I like Harley Benton but the quality control is often an issue. I bought a Pro series (Harley Benton's top line) guitar that had a noticible blemish on the back of the heal which had been badly fixed, the 'Ultra Flame Maple' top looked absolutely nothing like the images on the website being okay looking flame ish but definitely not ultra flame in the slightest. Misrepresentation right there. The setup on the guitar was pretty dire height and intonation wise, needing a full setup. This on the Pro Roasted maple neck hsh ultra maple top supposedly top of the line offering form Harley Benton via Thomann. Really disappointed. Thomann offered me 30€ as a start with barely any customer service skills or dialog employed after an email complaint, I said no way and ended up with 65€ which basically covered the setup rather than have the hassle of sending it back. Still left disappointed. Felt like Thomann just churn out guitars knowing that some are basically duds and then just deal with it when they get a complaint. Rule of averages applied. It grinds my gears that Thomann always send UA-cam influencers a carefully selected best of the best guitars to review but send badly set up guitars that have blemishes to their paying customers. What you see on the website is not what you always get. The guitar is sorted now and plays well. If anything I'd change the Roswell pickups beyond that it's fine. I'd probably go Sire next time because of the quality control issues Harley Benton have on some guitars and the lack of quality control out of the gate.
You bought one guitar and decided that there's a massive quality control issue? That's like dating one person and saying all of them are trash. Or playing one game and saying all of the games that company makes are trash.

Hi Jon, you are playing just great as usual. But I have a case comment that already wanted to do during last few month. Now, I think it's time for this. Since some time that happened one day last year all electric guitars that you presented for us sound very similar. I do not hear any guitar specific during almost a year. Did you start to use some digital processor or pedal-board or amplifier that just cut a guitar specific? More than a year ago you had apparent variation in sounding, and I was happy to find anything among underrated and not expensive guitars tested by you. I heard definite variation between different pickups, body types, fingerboards, but not now. Maybe you need to use more analog devices in sound chain?
Thank you for your observation.. but apparently, you are not a subscriber or a frequent viewer of the channel. If you are, you would probably noticed that I have tried playing with different amps and setup on the guitars that I’ve reviewed. I don’t really know how you would arrive at the conclusion that all guitars sounded the same because they don’t.. the only thing that is the same, is me playing them. And that is probably why you feel the way you do.
I am a subscriber, but under another account. I am watching your videos already long long time. And no, no, since some time I do not feel a big difference between guitars on your channel. But I am using and continue to use the same sound chain and the same excellent Beyerdynamic headphones to listen you and other channels. And, also, you are playing and continue to play in the same absolutely beautiful manner. I definitely like it very much. But guitar sound got a kind of soapy, without particular guitar specific. Yes, it is still possible to catch some difference, but this is not so apparent now like it was in the past. As an example, I was very impressed how three or four guitars sounded in your reviews (I even have one because of you. It sounds on my hands like in your review. I mean sound specific.), but now, unfortunately, it seems like you are playing on the same guitar all the time. I did not want to hurt you feeling anyhow. You are really excellent guy, guitar expert and musician. I just want to let you know that something not good happened with the sound. And I would help you to be on the top of guitar and sound devices reviewers.

Thomann offered me 30€ as a start with barely any customer service skills or dialog employed after an email complaint, I said no way and ended up with 65€ which basically covered the setup rather than have the hassle of sending it back.
Still left disappointed. Felt like Thomann just churn out guitars knowing that some are basically duds and then just deal with it when they get a complaint. Rule of averages applied.
It grinds my gears that Thomann always send UA-cam influencers a carefully selected best of the best guitars to review but send badly set up guitars that have blemishes to their paying customers. What you see on the website is not what you always get.
The guitar is sorted now and plays well. If anything I'd change the Roswell pickups beyond that it's fine.
I'd probably go Sire next time because of the quality control issues Harley Benton have on some guitars and the lack of quality control out of the gate.
Sorry to hear what you went thru.. but I never did have any problems with their guitars when I was still a paying customer ✌️❤️
You bought one guitar and decided that there's a massive quality control issue? That's like dating one person and saying all of them are trash. Or playing one game and saying all of the games that company makes are trash.

Hi Jon, you are playing just great as usual. But I have a case comment that already wanted to do during last few month. Now, I think it's time for this. Since some time that happened one day last year all electric guitars that you presented for us sound very similar. I do not hear any guitar specific during almost a year. Did you start to use some digital processor or pedal-board or amplifier that just cut a guitar specific? More than a year ago you had apparent variation in sounding, and I was happy to find anything among underrated and not expensive guitars tested by you. I heard definite variation between different pickups, body types, fingerboards, but not now. Maybe you need to use more analog devices in sound chain?
Thank you for your observation.. but apparently, you are not a subscriber or a frequent viewer of the channel. If you are, you would probably noticed that I have tried playing with different amps and setup on the guitars that I’ve reviewed. I don’t really know how you would arrive at the conclusion that all guitars sounded the same because they don’t.. the only thing that is the same, is me playing them. And that is probably why you feel the way you do.
I am a subscriber, but under another account. I am watching your videos already long long time. And no, no, since some time I do not feel a big difference between guitars on your channel. But I am using and continue to use the same sound chain and the same excellent Beyerdynamic headphones to listen you and other channels. And, also, you are playing and continue to play in the same absolutely beautiful manner. I definitely like it very much. But guitar sound got a kind of soapy, without particular guitar specific. Yes, it is still possible to catch some difference, but this is not so apparent now like it was in the past. As an example, I was very impressed how three or four guitars sounded in your reviews (I even have one because of you. It sounds on my hands like in your review. I mean sound specific.), but now, unfortunately, it seems like you are playing on the same guitar all the time.
I did not want to hurt you feeling anyhow. You are really excellent guy, guitar expert and musician. I just want to let you know that something not good happened with the sound. And I would help you to be on the top of guitar and sound devices reviewers.
