- This took place in 2010. I was 19. Back in 2011, I converted the truck to 4WD and 5-speed R150F manual transmission, plus it's been supercharged. Truck also has bumpers, skids, sliders, lights, etc.

Hell yeah rep the 2 wheel drive 4runner, i take my shit down 4 wheeler trails and stuff lol you cant stop it 180,000 miles, ive totaled it TWICE and still drive it without ever haveing it fixed, straight tank.

These 4Runners are just so amazing! I have a '98 SR5 4x4 and it is just such a great machine! That suspension job is amazing. Thanks for choosing a 4Runner and not just another Wrangler or something. This is unique and unlocks the capabilities of one of the best trucks Toyota ever made

@counkev Well, if you actually watched the video, I explain what I've done to it. It is not stock.
And Hummer H2's are awful offroad, if a stock 99 4Runner 4WD with e/locker was put into play, it would easily dominate any stock H2 in existence.
I really like that year T4R. I own an 08 SR5 and it has taken me these past seven years to fall in love with it. I loved seeing and hearing your T4R highballing down the country road at the end of the video.

@counkev Any stock 4runner with 4x4 would leave an H2 or H3 behind due to better weight distribution, a narrower wheel base, and more suspension flex, i have a stock 5 speed 96 4runner with no modfs other than a cold air intake, and the suspension flex that it is capable of is incredible, thus so are the obstacles you can overcome.
Nice 4 runner man. I have a 2000 4 runner sr5 with 4wd and the V6.. Still going strong at 130 k I might go for this look with bigger tires and suspension upgrades

I just got a 98 4runner and its 2wd too. It sucks but I use over-haul for now if I'm mudding or off-roading. Bad ass 4runner though man I love it

I will love to know if you replaced, by the time of this video, the whole set of shocks with aftermarket and another setup, or the original setup. I read the whole storu of your truck and will conform myself with your changes until January 2010.

Its called trambuco creek road. Was there just two weeks ago in my 2wd 98 4runner. Look up holy jim trail head on google maps and you should be able to find it.

Well if you read the description more clearly, you'd see this video was recorded in 2010 and the supercharger wasn't installed until the next year.
To be factual.
H2 is basically a half GM1500, half GM2500, it has no capabilities of the original hummer whatsoever. And as for 4runners, I had personally seen stock ones that have survived 400,000+ KM offroading with no major issues. As for the one in this video - with that much work put in, you could have just bought a newer 4runner mate.
So basically the worst model of 4runner made? haha i jk i jk.. but seriously v6 5sp manual is where its at
