Wicked awesome 4runners
Beautiful t4r btw.
It looks nice bro
Nice runner
Nice man. I'm in the process in making mine just like this except
Mine is a 2002
I freakin hate the sound of flomasters on V6s hugh.. nice truck though
Just bought the same 99 4 runner today, well yesterday now. In the hunter green I wanted at that. I'm doing a 3 inch lift as well once I save the money up. It seems easy to install a lift kit, so I'll do it myself probably with my cousins help. I'm mainly a under the hood type of guy though as far as working on vehicles.
Rebel Weaver Did you get the lift installed? If so did your 33's rub at all and what's your mpg
This will be my next purchase sweet fucking truck.
I have a lifted 2000 sr5 with rear locker, 278000 miles and still going strong, great vehicles.
60 series flowmaster I think.
dave runner, my buddies had 32000 and still ran strong. He got rid of it for a lifted Bronco, he said it kinda regrets it because now the Bronco with 17500 miles is costing him in repairs. Like I told him why get rid of what was great and had little to no issues. I just bought a 99 4 runner myself with 26000 miles, got a great deal. Absolutely no problems with it and I knew the truck before I bought it, it was my cousins.
My 4runner is closer to 300,000 now, just replaced the factory clutch.
@@RebelJew777 You maybe missing some zeros there buddy. At 32000, I would hope your truck is still running strong.
I guess no step rail on that one looks like. Pretty sick had my 99 sr5 about a month now grey. Clean brown leather can't wait to have some fun with it
@ronjunior91 If you are still wondering, you most likely have leafs because the axle was swapped.
What did the lift and tires cost? I'd like to do 3" and 33s on stock wheels with my 2001.
Love the car! Where did you get the tail light?
Looks good but how much clearance do you have In there ?
You said you have leafs in the rear.. Do you have a tacoma? 4Runners have coils front and rear. Rough country has a video on UA-cam on how to install your lift. Rough country also sells a 3" suspension lift kit for a very reasonable price. Do you have a tacoma or 4Runner?
Well someone must have converted the rear to leaf springs then. All you need to leaf the rear is some 3" blockes and longer U bolts. Very simple.
Just to let you all know that 4runner featured is mine and well after so long I had it for years one day in a bad storm I rolled it and totaled it! Still have it and have been parting it out for years now! I’m onto a another exact same but needs more work and will be a huge build one day! Stay tuned for more and I will make a channel to post on there!
Hey man I have a question , how did those tires ride? Were they rough or stiff offroad? Thanks ! Sorry to see you rolled it ) :
@@Codvrv Dura track Wrangler tires are actually really good I recommend him for every rig or truck out there they are now using them on lifted Chevy model trucks and your big diesel’s. It’s just a really good tire for daily and then weekends on the trial and off-road. Definitely worth buying! Be prepared now to spend more than I did five years ago.
Nice 4runner. I have the exact same 99' 4runner. I am lifting it 3" as well with the daystar lift kit, with 285/75r16 AXT tires in 2 weeks. What does yours get to the mpg now?
Around 15 city, 18 highway
Cole Russum that's the same as pure stock
Hey i know this is an old video but how did you blackout the bumpers/fenders
Your 4Runner has a different engine than this one. This one has a 3.4L V6 and your 95 has either a 3.0 V6 or a 2.4L 4 cyl. engine. Either way, I'd definitely go with a flowmaster 40. They sound a lot better than flowmaster 44s.
just bought 1 today hell of deal. wanna do the same and more...
I want give it a 3" lift, but but i havent found a vid on doing that, i have leafs in the back, i like how uve lifted urs, so wanted to know what u thought the best way to do it would b
Does it rub at all with the wheel turned?
No
I'm thinking about getting either a flowmaster 44 or a 40 like this one for my '95. Do you think the 40 is better?
How do those tires ride ? Since they’re a load e tire are they rough at off road ?
What kind of brush bar do you have the other 4Runner?
Are your rims 8" or 7" wide?
You got any off-road clips?
So does he have orange bulbs in the turn signals or are they just orange in the middles? I have an 02 I bought used and they are completely clear. The lower rectsngle ones on the bumper
Factory they come orange but the owner of yours changed it to clears
I got my 33s to fit on stock height with no cut outs or modification and it has fender flares
does it rub at all?
Yea of course it rubs, itll rub like crazy. They may go on but its gnna rub bad, also the the type of wheel you get makes a huge difference, in regards to backpacking and offset.
How bad is the rubbing?
What width are the rims?
Trd seat covers....oh my what rig and suspension with spacers? Lol.
Hey man I also have a question. I have a 96 4runner and 16x8 pacer wheels. Ima go with a 3" lifted and the 285s but how wide are the wheels on this 4runner? I want my tires to look a littler wider like this 99. So how wide are the wheels?
I believe those wheels are 9" wide and the tires are 11" wide.
Just get an armoured bumper! 👍
Thanks its pricey how Re the blocks
were did you get the spacers
Yeah i havent seen too many videos on leafs, but yeah i have a 4runner '00 with leafs in the rear..
Did you recalibrate your speedometer because of the 33s
No it’s was only off by 2mph
Is it a flow 40 delta flow or original? And does he have a whole exhaust system he modified or just a muffler and a pipe?
Flow 40 and just had the factory cut out and then the new muffler in!
U said it was a 3in spacer lift all around, including back...therefore my question is: Did he have to extend the break lines, or add a panhard correction kit, or any modifications to the rear to accommodate for the stretching??? I would greatly appreciate a response. Thanks!
Hey there! No sir, no additional modifications required. I have lifted dozens of 4Runners and have only installed rear brake line extensions and panhard bar drop kits on a couple of them. You'll be just fine running a 3" lift without adding either of these items. Here's a link to a Rouch Country lift...great cheap way to lift your 4Runner amzn.to/2xmvYAT
@@4CousinFilms thank you so much for your response, it was vert helpful.
No, whoever converted it to leafs probably removed the coil and shock mounts. I wouldn't attempt to convert it back
I want my shit like this 😭😭
what wheels are those bro?
Thanks man. Would it b easy to convert it back?
Yes
around how much did all the extras cost, not including the price of subs?
Spacer lift - $120
Wheels and tires (new): - $1500 (you can get used a lot cheaper)
Exhaust - $100
In all honesty, did u notice a change in gas consumption aftr the bigger tires were installed???
Yes little more gas consumption
how much of I lift does it have
where did you get your wheel spacers?
eBay I bought them
How much does this build cost?
Lift + Tires + Wheels is probably about 1800$
Do a rough country lift it’s cheap for 279 tires 600 to 1000 then rims depending on what you want 300 to 1300
🐺Hopefully I AM LOOKING AT MY SUMMER right here!
#1999TOYOsR5beastie
do these older 4runners have the rear locker? I was looking at getting a 2006-2009 but maybe its a better idea to buy an older 1 and save the money
Some of them do. I have a 97 limited and yes E-Locker
kyjelly5524, some do some don't. I think it depends on the years with them. I think most ones after the year 2000 do. But don't take my word on it.
96-02 4wd LIMITED's do...some others may come with it as a dealer option.
(Mine is 96 4WD Limited w e-locker) 260,000mls still goin strong!
Yes mine did
We'll I'm from east tennessee and I can't find one with the hood like that one and I don't wanna buy one as it will cost quite a bit
It’s like 280 on amazon. All you would have to do is paint it
anyone know where i could buy a ram cage (i think its what they are called) and a lift kit for 4runner 1999 in south florida?
I'm not sure what you mean by ram cage, do you mean a grille guard or something? You can get a lift kit at toyteclifts.com or rough country.
yea that sounds like a more appropriate name haha and ok ill check it out thanks bro
Is that rust underneath?
mud
Which lift is on this? Rough Country?
AdoniSquire rough country rides like shit
Yes rough country and there horrible go with a Different kit
Where did you get this vehicle at I am lookn for a first car and this modle of a 4 runner is the 1 I want and I can't find it nowhere if u know where I can find one EXACTLY like this 1 let me know hell ill just take this 1 if ud let me haha
Just look for one on craigslist. Look for a 1996-2002. Installing a lift kit is fairly easy, you can learn how to do it.
Cole Russum
Noticed the MO license plate, whereabouts are you from? I'm from Missouri as well, been looking for a 3rd Gen 4Runner for a second vehicle/ toy for a while now.
Stock cat?
Yes I got a high flow for it and never used it
What's your question?
my question is ? is this Toyota
How does it ride??
Pretty damn good because I went with a spacer up front, so the front ride quality did not change. Rear isn't too stiff.
@@4CousinFilms yeah the ride was smooth. Drove for years on it and honestly cheap and easy!
Did you have to chop the bumper? No rub?
No and you can but don’t need to little rub but didn’t care
Ok thanks, yeah I have the v6. I would never buy a 4 haha.
❤️🇦🇱🦅❤️❤️ baba i kerrve toyota 4 runner 💪💪💪💪💪💪
I wana lift my 4 runner maaan
Gross
This 4Runner is a rust bucket! 👎
Really wasn’t just surface rust and the car stayed in the Midwest for its whole life! But it’s gone now. Thanks for your rude comment.
Ok thanks, yeah I have the v6. I would never buy a 4 haha.
