Useing a ryzen 5600 kinda limits the 4070super , since my undervolted 7800xt is beating it in cyberpunk. it should be around the same or 5ish less fps .
Most likely. Also could be limited by PCI-E 3.0. But I also think there was something strange going on with my Cyberpunk install, as when comparing just the RTX 3070 results to some of the previous ones on my channel, in some scenes there's up to 8 FPS less now using the same settings. Anyway, I'll do another test once I upgrade the platform to see how just how much R5 5600 was bottlenecking it. For now, it can be useful to someone who has the same specs and is looking to upgrade.
@@_overchaos_ its not a lot ,. Pcie 3.0 isnt bottlenecking it . its not much lower then my 7800xt witch is in the middle between a 4070 and 4070s . In cyberpunk its not a problem if you use rt ,But if you play Cpu intensive games it will , You can just drop a 5600x3d or 5700x3d. No mother board or ram upgade needed . 5700x3d + 4070 s will last you a long enough that when you start needing a upgrade , Am6 motherboards will be out with Zen 7( don't know if they will continue with the zen name after Zen 6)
@@snakeinabox7220 I will probably wait for when Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs come out and then drop in price before I upgrade. AM4 is pretty much a dead platform imo, plus I need a new board with faster usb speeds anyway.
@@_overchaos_sure , good plan . Im just sad i didnt wait half a year for the 7800x3d to drop in Macedonia , a year ago i made my pc with 13700kf and 7800xt. the 13700kf might die any day . Hope it wont .
Worst , no . But yah the 8gb vram is not good. Hope the 5070 has 18gb if they use Micron 3gb chips . They don't need to increase the bus size for more chips . Will Nvidea do that , probably not . But they can if they want .
@@alix5atasi thats not good . If the 5070 has 12gb , its going to be a fail . Espetialy when amd is going to relase a 16gb or 20/24 gb competitor . Vram matters , espetialy with all the new software and hardeare. Rey traceing , frame gen , nanite ,lumin . All uses more vram , the raw performencr is getting held back by the vram . Games already use 10-12gb if Vram on max settings 1440p. Nvidea can put 16 or 18gb Its just a matter if they want ti spend 20$ on Ram chips on a 600$ card .
