Lore of World War Z (Zombie Scenario)

- Max Brook's World War Z explored an interesting scenario for the zombie apocalypse The world fought back against the plague, and the stories detailed how humanity survived. Since the movie did little to bring this story to light, here is a video explaining the novel itself.

It's also interesting how in the book, it's stated that the children born after the zombie war were a lot happier than their parents just because they never experienced a life of taken for granted convenience. While prewar survivors suffered from depression and difficulties adapting to a severely damaged society, the new generation are used to the hardships and scarcity of the new world and the fact that they never experienced any of the comfort of life before the zombie war made them a happier generation than the previous one.
H yes so real life
Yeah
Reminds me of world war 2
That’s actually pretty realistic lol, anyone before the zombie apocalypse would probably be contemplating if they should even continue on anymore in a broken world, while the new generation SEES the broken world as literally the world, I feel like they would probably adapt more faster and quickly to the new world
Reminds me of that one quote, don't remember who said it, but it was about how generations cycle. How prosperity and convenience gives birth to weak men, weak men cause hard times, which in turn creates a generation of strong men who create a world of prosperity and convenience only for the cycle to run again. It's like that, but on steroids.
I think World War Z is especially unique in that it's the only zombie story type from the perspective of human civilization having *already won*, and the book is telling it from a hindsight point of view.
While somewhat true, there have been several media that explored the aftermath of zombie outbreaks that were more than a SARS epidemic, like Maggie, where zombification was realistic in a span of months instead of minutes, or Dead Rising and Resident Evil where humans treat zombies a little more than walking biohazards with instructions on how to dispose one. But let's face it, not too many people favor the rebuilding part and just wanna see all that gore and things burn.
So in the book the zombies were slow-moving and unintelligent, and the humans were fast and intelligent? Sooo basically the opposite of the movie?
The movie represents nothing of the book in the slightest
asdfghjkl Just started reading the book tonight! Love it so far!
+tman008 I don't see how slow moving zombie apocalypse could ever get off the ground without some sort of auxilary method of transferring the virus, like water or air. In that case, the greatest threat isn't the zombies but the infectious medium.
We have guns, ammo is relatively cheap. If you don't live where they'll let you buy guns, buy a bow or a slingshot. If those are somehow regulated, God forbid, get something long with a heavy or sharp side you can swing or stab with.
My advice is to throw animal birthing lubricant on all the stairs and put up some warning signs to instruct survivors to use caution. People kill themselves on stairs all the time by slipping and cracking their heads open. Zombies aren't very smart presumably, so I doubt they'll see it coming. Use paint to designate safe routes. If you have the chance, stock up on some sort of heavy object you can throw. My advice is get some rebar and sharpen the ends so it becomes throwing spikes.
+EHW2 i am making a history about a world wide zombie infection that will make you nae nae

...A competent military
Tru XD
I still think even WWZ underestimates the capabilities of the US military. They would have never lost at Yonkers.
Obviously they lost in the book. The fictional book.
Bombs would scramble their fucking brains. I don't care what lame ass explanation the book gives. It's fiction.
GeneralKayoss, They did drop bombs in the book, they didnt work because bombs kill people through concussive force rupturing the eardrums and damaging the brain, the brains in the zombies have already begun to rot and their skulls are full of a type of jelly/goo that protects them from the concussive force of the bombs. The shrapnel and fire from the bombs only created flaming and crawling zombies, which genuinly terrrified the soldiers.
To explain why Iceland is filled with zombies. During the outbreak, thousands of people fled to Iceland which at the time was zombie free making it a refuge country. Ironically, because of its zombie free status, it attracted a lot of people and of course some infected were with the other passengers and so the outbreak then reached Iceland and now everyone there is a zombie and no one goes there.
Considering Iceland is a small country, why didnt they attack it after the war ended?
@@crististefanescu8169 The refugee population outnumbered the natives. Invading a small, lifeless, strategically unimportant island that is crawling with undead wasn't exactly the top priority. I think it's alluded to that the UN or whatever were planning on invading soonish even if that's ten years after the main fighting was 'over'.
Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded (with zombies).
Also since it was demilitarized and the US had long since left they had no weapons to fight off the hordes. Same fate that almost befell Japan but they managed to evacuate enough people in time.

4:04 after having re read the book, in actuality the "Safe Zones" in the Redeker plan we encouraged to be well protected and armed against the zombies. They weren't used at bait, rather well armed and protected pockets to draw the hordes away from the actual safe zone.

So at least they took out a lot of Zombies before falling
Oh no, they where still very much so bait. You just have to keep your bait well armed *when possible* so they can continue to BE bait. The point was that these bait settlements where considered expendable compared to the main settlement.

I never interpreted the Chinese boy to be patient 0. He was clearly bit, he was missing a toe if I recall. And his dad disappeared, clearly killed. And when the doctor calls his friend, the friend is clearly aware what is happening, and the military arrives soon after, in hazmat gear and engaging in established protocells. So the Chinese boy was an early case, but certainly not the first.
Some of my favourite parts of the book were accounts of people just trying to survive the societal collapse, where zombies were the least of their concerns and they were literally just struggling to eat. Also the way society had to adapt to the new conditions: For example, because crimes like looting were a much bigger deal, shame-based punishments like pillories became necessary, because mere imprisonment wasn't enough of a deterrent.
I just love how at 0:10, every country in the world is fighting zombies and Australia is fighting giant spiders
I didn't even notice that haha
Every country except France, anyway... :D
+Michael Pothoven haha the white flag. probably how it would go down

Remember: Patient X was bitten by something while diving. So either there were zombies in that sunken town or perhaps some kind of vector, perhaps a zombified dog or something. A zoonosis.
I love that it's mysterious, but I so badly wanna know what happened in that water with Patient X.
I don't know if the zombie survival guide and WWZ are linked, but it could be that zombies have been in the water for centuries and the boy just happened to stumble upon one near the shore.
In the Zombie Survival Guide, which ties into the World War Z novel, both written by the same author, the virus just kills animals, and doesn’t reanimate.
@@yesaterisk5641 Exactly, I do believe there was a tie in comic series featuring the zombie plague throughout history, going all the way back when first man huddled in caves
The kid only got bitten, the father... Well... He was probably already only bones when the kid started to turn into a zombie 😅
WWZ is one of my favorite books of all time in how realistic it's plot is. Of _course_ governments would try to cover up or explain away Solanum, of _course_ the rich and wealthy would join up in their glass fortresses, hoping their bodyguards would fight off the zombies for them, of course a zombie virus would spread through illegal human trafficking and organ trade. Everything is completely believable, and that's what is scarier than the viru itself; the incompetance of modern man.
Oh yeah, there was also a side book called 'Closure Limited' that introduces Vampires into the mix. The Vampire story may sound dumb, but it's handled really well.
I thought the Suburban house wife was super interesting. I mean every story is.
But it made me realize with stories about aliens, monsters, zombies, etc. We the audience get tunnel vision and know what's happening. We don't see every little aspect of the charcters life.
During covid or any other big event that seems to happen. Like right now all this bank business (watch nothing happen)I realize have so many other things to worry about I am not about to drop everything to prepare for something idk. I get tunnel vision with work and literally anything else.
While maybe a bit dramatized her "excuses" on why they barely prepared just seemed really realistic in a way.
I mean, man has always been incompetent. The only reason older civilizations might have survived is because civilizations wouldn't be connected to one another, so they would die out in their own groups instead of rushing to others and spreading it faster. And not being able to jump continents would've kept everywhere except Asia, Europe and Africa safe.
Just to clarify, the Honolulu conference actually took place aboard the USS Saratoga ( an aircraft carrier ), because Hawaii was too crowded for a proper meeting to take place. Also, North America was not fully clear because the northern regions of Canada and Alaska were still not cleared after 10 years, and Canadians are still finding frozen Zombies.
This seems like it would have been a better movie, like a ton of sequels
It would of been better.
more like the daily shows where each season explores overarching themes while each episode details the stories of each survivor in the theme.
Right? It would have been an awesome TV show.
***** but instead we get the walking dead show which is either a hit or miss
+Utkarsh Pandey You should watch Z nation
the book was so good, with lots of clever and plausible concepts zombie fans haven't seen before, underwater zombies, insane people pretending to be zombies, fighting in pure darkness (no electricity at all), changing politics and military style, realistic battles etc. it's worth reading and so much better than the film
I usually will read a book and then go see the movie. I did it the opposite this time. I thought the movie was actually quite good but I know I would have been horribly disappointed if I had read the book first, then watched the movie. The book was one of the best I have ever read in my life. WWZ would have been much better served as a TV anthology showing all the different stories and then tying them together; much like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad.
What intrigues me are the feral children at the end of the book.
How they managed to survive
Remember all the pissed mercenaries that were going to lose their jobs because the times of kill large amounts of zombies for a living was coming to an end. Robinson Crusoes kinds of people also started to show up where the Marines started going town to town.
The battles weren't that realistic. Brooks several times really vastly underestimates how incredibly powerful modern weapons are. A thermobaric weapon wouldn't suck Zombies' lungs out, it would turn their tissues to jello (destroying the brain, obvs)
Thomas Donnelly Did they adapt the sickness immunity?
The teams that were deployed were called the Alpha Teams, though they never got deployed due to the fact that the virus was to far ahead to be effective. These kill zones are described near the end of the book where the guns are made of old furniture and stamped sheet metal. They used a specific round called a Cherry P.I.E, which was pyrotechnical and if the mixture wasn’t made properly it would make the zombies eyes glow red.
The alpha teams were deployed. The only problem is they weren’t meant to be a solution but only a method to slow down the infection while the US military prepared for Phase 2, which involved drafting and conscripting military recruits. Unfortunately it was too expensive and congress did not view the zombie virus as much of a threat at the time, so the plan didn’t take off and phase 2 was never begun.
@@detritus3676 thanks for the correction
I like the book actually covers the whole world and not just America. It was really interesting seeing different countries fight in unique surroundings and with unique weapons and tactics. Most other films/series/books etc ignore the rest of the world completely.
If the movie was to be lore accurate, then you know China wouldn't have allowed it and the director really wanted that money. I mean they could just make it a limited HBO TV series with mockups of China like the Beijing embassy in Mr. Robot and it would have been more successful.
How to stop a zombie apocalypse 1. Kill the first zombie 2. No zombies
That's the thing though, all people that were initially infected my the first person were killed off. However, more infected people began to pop up throughout China, without being bitten.
Well, if we assume Max Brooks' previous book, Zombie Survival Guide as being canon with WWZ, it is implied that zombie virus has existed in isolated pockets for a while, normally only encountered in isolated incidents.
but how they do not speed?
I would beat the shit out of a lonely zombie
Just wait for them to rot and fall apart.

Brooks gave an interview shortly after the book was launched where he made it clear that he has little faith in the ability of governments to respond to any form of pandemic. At the time, he based his opinion on various natural disasters such as Katrina and the historical record going back to the Black Plague. Fast forward to 2021 and, sadly, he was right in almost every country on earth - even Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan have had to deal with second and third waves.
there's a difference between actual walking, violent, cannibalistic corpses. and something that you cant see, might kill you if you're unhealthy enough. or just unlucky. im sure people would react differently irl.
That is the sad reality, that we may not really be ready for a real pandemic of zombies
@@vardiganxpl1698 fentanyl is the zombie epidemic and they seem powerless to contain that.
I think the most fascinating part of the book to me will always be what happened to North Korea. The fact that the entire nation just vanished one day is such a perfect mystery left unanswered.
By fan theory is that the virus actually started in North Korea, and that it was a bioweapon that they either lost control off or set off deliberately. Either way once the virus was out they quickly hid themselves in bunkers to protect themselves and emerge later as the world's new masters. And they're either still down there or, as the book suggests, the virus followed them down there.
The book says that patient zero was a boy in the Chinese countryside. But when the doctor calls it in it becomes very clear that China all ready has a protocol in place to deal with this exact situation. Rapid response doesn't begin to cover it. They even know to ask if someone's been bit. That kid may be the earliest case that you can still find documents about, but he was not the first case the Chinese government encountered. And on top of that, something bit the kid to begin with.
So until Max Brooks writes something that proves otherwise, I am just going to think North Korea created a virus that then spread to China. And they hid themselves away before the zombies could attack them as well.
I think Cody left out that the nuclear protection bunkers are still closed and there’s evidence that thats where the North Korean ran to. I like how no one wants to open those bunkers to see if anyone is still alive for fear of another WWZ so for all we know there could still be people in those bunkers thinking the zombies are still there
So, apparently Brooks also wrote a book titled "the Zombie survival guide" that pretty much describes the disease in WWZ, with it being much much older. In the guide it's stated that trace evidence of the virus was found in Egyptian mummies, with an archaeological site in central Africa showing possible signs of zombie activity much earlier (several caved in skulls and a cave painting of one person eating another). So it was definitely known about before, it just never had an outbreak on this scale.
Also, I agree that it's very interesting that no one wants to open up North Korea for fear the bunkers might be packed full of zombies. It creates an interesting scenario where it's a sort of ticking time bomb, sooner or later the bunkers will get breached and all hell could break loose.
I still maintain that instead of a movie, we should have gotten an HBO miniseries, each episode dedicated to one or two stories at a time. Some of the stories told in the book would have been interesting to see in live action given how unique the character's perspectives are. For example, the pilot watching from a blimp all the chaos on the highway, the audience would only see things from a birds eye view same as him. Or the people of radio free earth having to broadcast information while listening to the many desperate calls for help. We'd still have our action episodes like the battle of Yonkers and the suspenseful survival tales like the pilot who went down in the Deep South, but the series would bring a different type of perspective every episode.
I prefer the walking dead
Could’ve just done the damn movie the way it is in the book.
As a series of interviews that switch between flashbacks.
The movie isn’t that bad but it’s just not an adaptation of the book.
Pitt should’ve been interviewing people the whole movie and listening to people’s story’s with the interviewees narrating there own flashbacks.

I hate in zombie movie scenarios how the armies of the world never use conventional bombers. Like bro, their moving slowly in large packs with no cover. That’s a bombers wet dream.
the book does a good job of describing how useless they would be. only killing the brain would guarantee a dead zombie with most conventional bombs working by killing people through the shockwave (there's a fairly grizzly description of zombies walking around with their lungs having been pulled out through their mouths by vacuum bombs, yet otherwise basicly as dangerous as they were before they got bombed).
A bit of a theory, Patient X got the virus when he was swimming to try and find treasure when he was bit by something. These zombies have been shown to hide on the ocean floor so could that mean a zombie outbreak could have happened before and gotten forgotten by history?
Previous, though less serious, outbreaks are outright confirmed in the previous book 'The Zombie Survival Guide' stuff like Roman Legionnaires taking down some zeds. Surprised that isn't a movie.
Parthian Horse Archers can kill every zombie without losing a horse/camel or rider
There was a theory that patient x is not the actual first zombie, but rather the first known recorded zombie.
There might have been a few people already infected at that time. But they don't know the actual cause of it.
It was stated that he was with his father at that time and something got his father only him to survive (if I remember correctly)h
Goraka91 I loved that book.
Maya Zulf wasn’t there a mini story in the book talking about Japanese zombies in the Philippines
The scariest thing about the book is that the reactions of various governments were surprisingly believable. Max Brooks (yes, the son of Mel Brooks for those who may wonder) did a fantastic job. He obviously put a lot of thought into it, and probably quite a bit of research to boot.
Of course as you pointed out, Hollywood said, "That kind of complexity makes our brains hurt, let's just fill it with A-list actors and CGI zombies that run like track stars!" It's the biggest high-budget butchering of a novel by Hollywood since The Relic, IMO.
Agreed, replace zombies with a contagious disease and we
would get the same reaction.
Even if Hollywood had good intentions, I don't think this would work as a
movie. I think what would do it justice would be a 1 season tv show with each
episode focusing on each chapter of the book. It would be styled sort of like
band of brothers was, short interviews preceding the dramatised actions with
elements of the television drama Threads included.
Hamdi Ahmed
I think a TV series could work, but an episode per chapter is much too little. Each chapter should have it's own season and have each episode be either one or two interviews. Unless you're referring to each individual interview as a chapter, then that makes sense.
We would only lose several thousand people to zombies, mostly Republicans and religious people
Even Ancient Civilizations would have no problem dealing with zombies
Hit-n-run tactics would eradicate even the biggest zombie horde
I think this would make a good Documentary style movie
the real danger in the book was bad government tactics and misinformation. the zombies was only the igniting blow. think most died by the hand of living humans.
I remember going to the theater to see this and afterwards I was very disappointed. My friends like it and told me I was wrong and it was a good film. I started ranting on all the stories lines, the computer gamer that climb down a 50 stories apartment building and teamed up with a blind monk to kill 300 zeds. I got to admit though, this should of been a tv show.
It screams for an HBO series

Riot Police, Guerilla Fighters and the Air Force would be very effective against zombies

I've lived near NYC my entire life and as a kid these types of movies always made me scared to go to New York. Usually everything bad in movies happens in the cities! Like why? Robots? in new york? wut?

New York survived Zillas. Not Godzillas. That's Tokyo.
New York is an "A typical" hub city for the american audiences to relate too. It shows a HUGE cross section of people, religions and ethnicity. thats why its usually used in films... L.A., London, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, all major films shot with "world altering" events are shot in these type cities.. (or at least they are SET in these type cities) bc it shows a larger cross section of the population. The same can be said with small towns in film. They're always shown to be isolated and cut off from the world and any form of "help" that could be offered... while in reality, most small towns are within a short driving distance from at least a moderate sized city. there are many that wouldnt fit this category but in the over all scheme of things, most are nearby other larger municipals.

Why does this movie resemble reality? Max Brooks is a senior fellow at West Point military academy and researched effects of epi/pandemics, so the book is thoroughly grounded in actual and possible reality. World War Z is a great book to read from a literary perspective as well. The story is told from the POV of people all over the world, before, during and after the war, and I would recommend trying it on audio book for a great ensemble reading.
"The Australia Is Fighting With Spiders Not Zombies."
Interesting....
Maybe Because Their Spiders Are So Deadly
+Soap MacTavish Haven't you ever played resident evil? If we had those spiders in our sewers, imagine what the aussie's have to deal with
Yeah.
+Soap MacTavish Wait, aren't you suppost to be dead?!
Im Only Dead In That Game. Not In Life. (JK IM NOT TH REAL ONE XD)
So in theory you can wear a bomb suit and walk through a horde of zombies in the book?
Yeah or even motorbike leathers will do the job, but the sheer weight of the horder would push you over and you'd be trampled to death but wearing thick clothing would be a really good tactic but media never has characters use any common sense cos "ooo suspense".
Nah in the book they basically do that but it’s ineffective as if a zombie has you pinned they will eventually tear through you
@Guillotine Yes I actually mentioned this in another comment but honestly you've got to be pretty dumb/really unlucky to be in a situation which involves you trying to fight a horde of zombies on your own.
They go into this and basically say the zombies eventually find a way to tear apart the weak joint points
@@yerboytoad6458 You can't tear apart motorbike leathers or chainmail. It's impossible for a human to do so. You could just get crushed by the amount of bodies though if you were really stupid enough to try and fight through a horde but dealing with individual zombies or smaller groups you're basically invulnerable.
I like watching this video while playing World War Z: The Game and Will be doing the same with the World War Z: Aftermath upgrade 👍🏻
How does it feel knowing this is the most comprehensive WWZ video on YT
you forgot to add the fact that Saudi Arabia, for some unknown reason destroyed its oil fields. Also Russia 'Liberated' Belarus and parts of Eastern Europe. Apart from that, great video
and ksa got destroyed and a bedoun nation rises somehow
the make barely a percentage in whole of arabia let alone ksa
and how did russia 'liberate' belarus?
GUNSLINGER47L according to the book, Belarus was so depopulated that Russia simply marched their army in and annexed them
I was going to, but without much context to it, it seemed out of place and silly. Sorry.
AlternateHistoryHub it,s ok
To someone who knows the book... a question:
What happened to South Korea? Did it disappear like the North? It sounds silly (actually.... dear beloved leader fleeing while rest of NK's population suffers... that sounds about right) that NK just disappear, but I would like to know a bit about my home country and whatever happened to it.

Just so everyone knows if you don’t.....
There is a super kick ass audiobook version of the novel that you can get with many cool people voicing the characters, like Mark Hamill, Alan Alda, Henry Rollins, Simon Pegg, and many more. Totally worth checking out if you think you might want to read the book.
Connor Burnett mark hamill? HECK YES!
Echo this. The audiobook is AWESOME!
Where can I listen?
juan villalobos It’s on audible if you have that, or you could just buy the physical cd of the audiobook from whatever website. I know Amazon has it.
Hell yeah! Alan Alda!
lol, australia fights a giant spider. that's better than having to deal with horses of flesh eating zombies.
Horses what a great autocorrect
GOD DAMN IT
Horses xD
Undead horses would be pretty fucking scary XD
+RedRogueWulf
Undead anything is terrifying
It was one of the first videos I have seen, and I still love it ❤
I was re-watching some of Cody`s videos and I have noticed the map today (0:59). Nice!!!
How would Australia be overrun by zombies, the emu’s would of taken them out already
Oversimplified emu war
If the zombies ate the emus, ZOMBIE EMUS. THOSE ARE THE ONES WIPING OUT AUSTRALIA

While Riding on Moose pulled wagons with Miniguns
No lobos for them XD
Is this a insult to Canada?
+Jeyanthi Sivasambu nah m8 tru Canadian right here
WW Z definitely did NOT follow the book. Shame, that story needs a top quality movie. Still, Max Brooks himself, being perplexed by the actual story being ignored, had expected the movie to suck...it did NOT. He praised it. I agree.
It was a good zombie movie. Just not WWZ
It was good but it was not a good adaptation. I still liked enough to buy it on blue-ray. I recommend the unrated extended cut.
I liked the movie in its own light. Speedy zombies that are kinda smart are hella cool. And I liked just following brad Pitt while he tried to be all science. And while none of it added up, it was cool to watch. But yeah, the books deserve a better adaptation.
@@obamaobama1056 If the film was released under a different title and not marketed as an adaptation of the book, it would prove to stand as it's own thing. This tells me, the studio was unwilling to a bankroll a movie without a popular brand, and that studio execs thought (or cared if) a faithful adaptation wouldn't work.
@@zachhecita Even the film failed on it's own logic. Brad Pitt, is a UN war reporter or agent. He should've acted the part...
Finally got around to reading this book. I was really surprised. It was pretty good and definitely interesting lore.
They seriously messed up when they didn’t just make it like the book
In any zombe apocalypse... Run fast, think fast and follow the rules in the movie zombieland
At least the military isn't dipected as incompetent cannon fodders.
Semi-competent.
Apart from the Grunt in the Great Panic title.
When Life Smacks You In The Face
Nope, they still are inept. for example, at Yonkers the US army lost due to somehow running out of ammo and forgetting about the existence of airburst fragmentation artillery.
*Cough cough* Yonkers
Yet people in the favelas in Brazil survive because ooh the gangs and drug dealers are able to fight off the zombies better than trained soldiers somehow. Oh yay favelas being miserable shitholes actually worked in their favor!
I love the book but there were bits like that that annoyed the absolute fuck out of me. Not bringing enough ammo is the weakest fucking excuse for them getting beaten and the fact that wed evening be using infantry to deal with them in the first place when you have access to helicopters, gunships, drones and tanks is laughable
Wait a minute this is 2020!
6:25 It may not be alternate history
Wait, WHAT?!?!
Read the book as a teen when it first came out. 20 now. Saw the film. It would have been okay if it had have had any other name. But it insulted one of my favourite childhood books by existing.
The book itself is not realistic enough
No way we would lose more than five thousand people, and most of them are Republicans
You realise a lot of republicans have guns right? And noone asked for your ignorant political comment
the Great Panic started because of large, uncontrolled pockets of zombies sprung up and the public mostly panicked. it wasn't just the zombies we would have had to deal with but civil unrest as well.
Christian Dauz Get politics out of here. No one asked for that, shithead.
@@christiandauz3742 who asked
I didn't read the book but after watching this, I'm gonna grab the copy from my bookshelf and read the first sentence and put it back
Even though that's true it doesn't have every story in the audiobook there is one story I. The book about people who used expo suits in the ocean it's awesome .
Can you imagine how haunting the Redeker Plan could look like in live action. A father and mother, thinking they've made it to safety with their children, only to hear the hoards of zombies outside their walls. No defenses. Only realizing at the last moment that they've been used as a decoy, a sacrifice. No way to keep their family safe any longer. Damn. The movie really stole from us great content.
They had defenses
In the Book the Redeker Plan is used for being bait yes. But it also explains that in different countries they have different takes and alterations to it. In south Africa they have the bare minimum to allow them to live whilst still expendable. In the US they had them armed and supplied regularly. Eventually Manu of the world realized that it was more effective to at least have these bait communities armed and supplied. Because their whole objective is to draw away the Zacks from the primary settlements. If they get overrun, then they failed. So not every bait community was completely defenceless, they at least have enough to last long
The interesting part of WWZ to me is the legistics of it a war against Zombies.
WWZ dives into the details of managing it. Managing dead bodies, resources, reforming of nations, refugee crisis, and cleaning up after all of it.
No other zo.bie story goes into that detail.
Thats why its realism resonates so much.
2:38 That poor grunt, stuck in the wrong universe. At least zombies are way less dangerous than Flood.
zombies : couldnt take over a nearly dead planet if the planets forces where cordinated enough and intelligent enough
flood : IS SO DANGEROUS A SPECIES MORE ADVANCE THAN ANY OTHER IN HISTORY HAVE TO US A GALAXY DESTROYING WEAPON TO DESTROY IT..EVEN THAN NOT GETTING RID OF IT FOREVER AS IT DEVESTATES THE GALAXY AGAIN

When the zombie virus started in China and the government tried to suppress information about it, and you're reading this in the middle of the corona virus outbreak
just have fun you idiot
sad part is the same thing happened in real life
When i was eating my dinner that night.. i switched on the news.. i saw a new sort of disease break out in a chinese city?, a few months or something passes bye... i then go home from school after it ended due to a worldwide pandemic.. i then watch the news as chaos rages on for the rest of the year... BLM riots, wildfires etc.. untill.. the year ended..... *"why are there still people dying.."*
Texas-ification incoming
watched this video first during corona when i lost nearly all zombie fears...and guess what..i was like.."is this just a wierd corona...or have i been to long in lockdown?"
