  • In this episode we are on our way back south the Yasawa island group. We stop at Blue Lagoon to catch up with some of our cruising friends before we head to Musket Cove to reprovision.
Musket Cove is one of our favourite playgrounds for kiting, surfing and freediving so we spend a couple of weeks there before we head off to Monuriki with some of our friends for a last adventure away before it is time to stay close and get ready for the passage south to New Zealand.

    00:00 Blue Lagoon
    02:17 Sailing South
    03:44 Back at Musket Cove

    About us:
We've been living the sailing and cruising lifestyle for over 20 years, having our kids and bringing them up along the way.
We are now 'Living the Dream' aboard our second boat, an Ocean 80, which we've rebuilt for 3.5 years and launched at the end of 2018. The idea was to sail around the South Pacific looking for incredible spots to surf, kite and explore!
Due to the pandemic it didn't all quite pan out the way we thought but we are grateful and fortunate enough to have NZ and Fiji open to us at this stage!
Thanks for joining us on our adventure and keep your eyes peeled for some more real-time content coming soon.

Awesome! Never seen dolphins flip off the front of the bow like that. 👏

Would love to see an update for the 2022 season. To me, Carrara is the most beautiful sale boat on Utube. The story of you saving an old race boat is mind blowing. It would be great to know your total cost of the refit and breakdown of your expenses. Love your channel, your boat and your family. Please come back. From Jerry and Opal

That time was incredibly special with them jumping all around us! We definitely see them on most of our trips - how lucky is that?! 💙

Is my memory correct that yu got the boat when it was ready to be scrapped. If so did you pay scrap value?
Or did you got it free so he didn't have to pay to have scrap removal.
Serendipity can be seen as a random event. Or a sign that you are on the correct path.
I cannot think of more wonderful way to bring up kids. And prepare them for their life ahead.

Yes your memory is correct! The boat had been seized and was deteriorating and costing money so it got to a point where it was going to get scrapped. We didn’t get it for free but we paid very very little for it! Obviously it took a fair amount of money and even more hard work to get her back into condition. We gave her a second lease on life and in return she’s been an incredible floating home for us and an absolute joy to sail! We love her! Thank you for your comment ☺️
