I just watched "Cast Away" again for the first time in over 20 years. The scenario in the movie that caused Tom Hanks' character to get stranded would be such a perfect opportunity to disappear and have peace. Solitude and safety. No job and no need for one.
Living like a caveman for years. Think about it. Take away your clothes, food, comfortable home not to mention anything you have now at your disposal right now. No human contact, at the mercy of your survival skills and whatever nature throws at you. It would not be the easy getaway you think it is. Are you thirsty? Where are you going to get that drink of water from? Blisters from sun exposure. Not just laying on the beach for vacation. You'd be constantly working to stay alive not to mention the psychological effects of no human interaction. Maybe you could do it....but I doubt it.
Been to Fiji. Absolutely beautiful. They actually have those islands you see in Mad Magazine and the guy waiting to be rescued with one palm tree and a mound of sand on nothing but ocean and horizon. I always thought that was a cartoonists joke but they actually exist.
I've seen them in the Bahamas too. Once we stopped at a sand bar. There was a coconut that was sprouting washed up on shore. We planted it in the middle at the deepest part. That was 34 years ago. I've often wondered what it looks like now.
This is surreal. Watching cast away right now and seeing a different human being there is crazy. But in this day and age, it's not starting to be crazy cause how easy it is to get to places.
@@vc8160 Oh yeah? On land, Australia has many kinds of poisonous snakes plus crocodiles and spiders. In the sea there are sharks, cone shells, box jellies and blue ring octopus. That's just off the top of my head from the many nature documentaries I've watched. With my luck I'd last about two days.
I have been 5 times watching Cast away film of Tom Hank and Helen Hunt . I love it' i think during filming those movie it was very greenish forest) but it seems quite a litle different now ??.
Who can help me write this film in 15 or 20 lines. I have a lecture and I need it. But my English is not good and I would be grateful. With the name of the film's protagonist and author. Please
