To the narrator. You have the most sophisticated, best articulated, most easily understood, and pleasant, voice I have ever heard. I first heard you while you were converting your boat (episode 1 & 2. 3 or 4 years ago, I am assuming you are Kiwi's but can't tell for sure. You have done a wonderful job with both the boat and your kids. I don't envy your lifestyle but it is always a pleasure to watch your episodes. I sailed till was three but then there was a war and never resumed. Thank you PNW. U.S.

Magical restoration. Congratulations to you on a job very well done. I was a very junior member of the crew when she got badly smashed up in Biscay, in November 2000, and then again for the 2001 Fastnet. Wonderful to see her looking so much better today than she ever did back then!

Having lived in the Virgin Islands for 20+ years, I was much inspired by the designs of Dick Newick and good friend Roger Hatfield. Have sailed on quite a few and eventually decided to build a Lock Crowther Twiggy Mk IIB up in the hills of Tortola. Couldn't do that with Roger or Dick's designs, cos "Wingover" was built in separate units and assembled on the beach. (Now that Launch Party was a PARTY !!) She took me 4 years to build, she sailed beautifully and was very easy on the eye, with wingmast, mast lowering struts, water ballasting, spade rudder assy., whipstaff steering, etc. I sold her some time ago and since she like us, has sailed to Europe and completed many of the intensely gruelling Round Britain and Ireland Race, winning her class in one. She was last seen in Isle de Oleron (near La Rochelle) in France. Roger Hatfield was incredibly helpful and I do miss that 'island style' way of life. Fair winds and broad reaches to y'all ! Bill

This is a really nice boat. Not "good for a scrappy conversion" but just properly nice. It's simple. pretty cramped for an 80-footer, but four cabins, three bathrooms, all well done and properly holding... what more does one want? Will you ever reveal how much you spent on all this beauty including the conversion? I wonder how it looked in its time. I also wonder how fast it goes? I follow another family here on youtube who did a racer conversion. But they chose an IMOCA-60 (66?) boat for conversion. Very different boat, and a different result. Craaaazy!!!! 🙂 But it flies 20 knots on just a main and a jib... and chews through sails like cheese. I wonder how racy your racer is. How deep is your keel, by the way? Yes, I watched the resoration slideshow, might have missed it. Anyway, cool boat. Good job! Kudos.

One of the best trimaran designs ever. love newick's simplicity and sweet lines. She moves through the water so unruffled. Great job on the paint and restoration. I own a 30 foot condor trimaran that is trailerable. But what a job to take her apart and put her together. Wishing you all the best from us Yanks.
