- Happy 2nd birthday to the song that kick started AILD all over again. I’m not sure if there’s a song I’m more proud to be a part of. Everyone worked really hard and closer than ever to make this the best it could be and it’s definitely the song I look forward to playing the most EVERY show.

This guitar tone is amazing and it sounds just like it does on the albums, it's a tone I've chased for a while. The single notes have this almost "quacky" sounding attack and pop to them, and you hear it on pretty much every AILD album. It sounds so damn good and articulate.

Fresh strings + super treble/compression. Ie, the string scratch that's super audible in alot of KSE songs namely rose of Sharon and arms of sorrow

@@theagamer6137Yea I'd just say Peavey 5150/6505 and EVH heads are well known for that particular tone and even super compressed they just sound monstrous

I've been listening to AILD for more than half my life now, more than 15 years. By far my favourite metal band ever and that is to a great part because of your amazing guitar compositions. Your riffs never stop giving me goosebumps and fuckin crazy boosts of energy.

God everytime I hear as I lay dying I am automatically drawn to the amazing riffs and solos.
Such a powerful track. The 1st riff, after the intro, has an awesome 80s metal feel to it. The rhythm track has to be one of the best, I've heard, in a hell of a long time. So good, I always listen to this song, at least, twice. The guitar playing just evokes such a feeling in me and obviously, the subject of the song evokes emotion, too. Superb playing and riff writing.

Always great to see when an artist can appreciate their classics. Obviously you want to promote new material and believe in what you’re making, but that shouldn’t be at the expense of the originals. Some people genuinely hate their old stuff lol
This is off their latest album. To add to the last thing you said though, it kinda sucks when you find out a band you like hates (or hates playing) one your favorite songs of theirs. You can tell which ones they don't like too, when you see them live and they play through it at 1.5x speed, lol.
