Amazing footage Norwegian explorer. The ice and icicles on summit ridge looked awesome in 4k. I've summited grey back 6 times including overnight at summit camp. Highly recommend summit camp but prepare for a looooong night. Thx for upload. Happy trails
UA-cam decided to recommend this video. I've never seen it, so this was cool! The San Berdoo's are amazing! This was in your pre-'on camera' days! It's great that you decided to be in your videos as well as POV's. It adds so much to the experience. Beautiful Jarl. Thank you! 😊🐝❤
Yep ☝️ Still catching up. Uve been filming a long time Jarl. I do not understand HOW u can film hiking such terrain n remain steady. If I were filming the scenes would b all over the place making ppl puke I’m sure. Ur just awesome !!! Thank u for starting these adventures. Many of us get to enjoy them for a long time. 👍🙏🏔️🪨❄️☀️❤️‼️ TJ
I love the south fork trail, but have only made it as high as Dry Lake ( late spring, wasnt dry) My goal is to summit this year with an overnight at Dry Lake campsite for a fun weekend
Darren Lanning thank you, I started around 7:30 and summited at noon, the roundtrip took me about seven and a half hours of walking, spent an hour at the summit. I have done it a little bit faster before but was spending a bit of time stopping and shooting video, which actually made the last stretch where you start feeling the altitude easier.
A very long hike to summit "Old Grayback" and back but well worth the effort. The views were spectacular. Thank you Jarl!
Thanks my friend, yes Gorgonio is special!

I recommend taking the South Fork trail which starts near Jenks Lake. Its much longer but less steep.
Yes, its good, I like Vivian Creek the best though personally!

Amazing shots! How long did the hike take? I’ve never done it in a day. What time did you start and end?

We lost the trail at the summit coming down with patches of snow. We ended up hiking down for 4 hours in pitch dark.
@@bongbongtravels6108 Oh, I am glad you are ok, was that coming down the Vivian Creek Trail?
Norwegian Xplorer , the descent in the dark started at the 10,000 feet elevation 5 hours hike.
@@bongbongtravels6108 Its a long walk lol! Glad you made it down!
Just like being in Norway! You could've stayed home!
No mountains above 8500ft in Norway
