What a beautiful video, I loved the way you filmed it as though we were hiking the trail. My favourite scenery too out in the granite rocks and fir trees. Loved the bear, wonder what spooked him! Thank you for bringing the beauty of this area to us!
What a rush to have a bear run past so near you! Amazing he didn't go over the side. Lovely video of your hike. The mountain reflections on the water is so beautiful.
What a great trip. The bear encounter was pretty intense. I thought for sure it was going to do a high dive over the cliff for a minute. All the dragonflies were really cool. Melantopia awesomeness. And, of course, the amazing views! Thanks so much, Jarl! ☺🙏❤
pinkze he say " I am back on the trail with you again Jarl ! really enjoyed this ( many times now) I think they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and you lived to tell the tale of your bear encounter, an amazing memorable experience I imagine. Still love your subtle music fading in and out throughout. Take care "
That experience with the bear was crazy! I just did Chilnualna Falls in the Wawona area of Yosemite on Saturday and it was glorious. Yosemite is a majestic granite kingdom and one of my favorite places to be. A place where you are in the mountains and the mountains are in you.
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing. Love the slow-mo of bear's catwalk and trail running skills! Thanks for the notations, I haven't seen a bear in full flow yet
Really nice video work and still shots. Trying to track your route for planning. When you got back on trail, did you approach the Ten Lakes area from the north from the Tuolumne River Trail?
@@NorwegianXplorer , I asked that because when we were in the Sierras for a 5 day trip over Labor Day (2019) we ran in to 2 cool dudes from Norway. Doing a trip with most any of Joey's friends would be awesome. He's one of my favorite people to backpack with. Positive influence, funny and well thought out decision making. The problem I'm running into planning for 2020 is trying to coordinate with sevral others. What are your plans?
@@kcwins84 I am not sure yet, I have to get some stuff out of the way top of the year before I can organise my schedule. The Norwegians you met, I think I know the wife of one of them, she said that they were in Kings Canyon in September and climbed Whitney!
@@kcwins84 Me neither, and Cat just asked me the same thing 30 mins ago. I am sure he is fine, prob just relaxing with his family, maybe computer issues?
Beautifully filmed hikes. Stunning nature views. Quiet ambience. Totally captures the feel of the moment. Excellent.
Thank you!

This is cool actually feels like I went on a little backpacking trip
Vee Ray thanks appreciate that, its my goal to make you see it that way, so thanks again:-)
That bear is fast!
Indeed!
I have hiked that area three times. I was just thinking it was time to go back and seeing your film confirmed that for me. Thx.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it!
Another amazig video👍 thanks!
Thanks again:-)
Truly epic
Thank you, glad you like it!
Love your channel! Could you do a Cucamonga Peak video from Ice House?
Thank you, Cole! That could possibly be done at one point. I have only been there once.
We just hiked it today and it was a lot more intense then we thought it would be but it was amazing.
Cool, how was the crowd on a weekday?
It wasn’t too bad. Maybe saw 20 people total. Hardly anyone on the way back.
@@colehowerton1956 Good to know, so no problem with parking on weekdays then...
Very nice. Awesome backpacking experience. We were just recently camping in Yosemite as well. I have one video from the trip up on my channel so far.
Thank you, will check it out:-)

Thanks Gary, I came from the north above the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne and connected with the trail again at Ten pass.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did you and a friend do a trip in Kings Canyon in 2019?
Hey Chuck, no I havent been to Kings Canyon this year; Btw Joey says we should do a trip together at some point, would love that!

Side note: I haven't heard from Joey in quite a while. He just posted a video of a trip we did in Banff/ Jasper, so I ASSUME he's well.
