@@PizzaFLIX Flix, you ever heard of 1949, '' Dynamite," that Baked bean box of candy Virgina Welles, plus Richard Crane, Hank Gibbons thing? concluded to be an incongrously vacillatating castigastion. I left out one step beyond, season 3, episode 16, or S03, same tape, ' The last round,' aka Mike Kovac, C. Bronson, you know the series already, deeper than the potholes we have!!!. 'An Idosyncrically hyperborealic. mentally attention bogging reel where an individual could become amassed, or immersed in rather quickly.
Quirky story about old money and Uranian family members. The instant resonance between Eve and Aunt Sarah feels genuine, and it's grounded in love of the family and honor. Eve's decision to be true to herself and her lineage was tear-jerking to me, she'd tried and failed at the Shakespeare, but was marvelous with the Egyptian dance, which was much more true to what she knew of her parents. Be true to thyself.
Not very suspenseful, but still entertaining. There is a remarkable performance by a young woman on an organ, very surprising, I expected something hokey, but wow!
Thanks, I shot forward to 30.00 just to see her and she was quite good. I would rather have seen her than the main actress dancing. You might be interested in this: www.tacomalibrary.org/blogs/post/selika-pettiford-1948/
I didn't think I was going to like this Movie? I loved it! Great story and Cast! I really enjoyed this. Loved how Eve stayed true to herself, proving she was her Mother's Daughter. I don't get the Bailbonds man just waiting for his finders fee? What was his rush when the family believed she was a member of the Family?
Right, because guys really care about the quality of the dancing of those performing erotic dances. It was one of the better dances I've ever seen on film. heh heh
Anyone else notice them sneaking in The Sardhams? The way they pronounced it was Sodoms as in sodomy. It’s not even a family name that exIsts. Inside joke or something of that sort.
randy mitchell, Selika Pettiford was an actress, only known for two films."A Fig Leaf for Eve" and Swing out Sister " 1944-1945. Better known as an Organist and Pianist mainly theatre and club shows.
I noticed in the credits at the beginning of the film... it said.... Selika Pettiford..... and her Organ .... (:14 sec) thought that was odd til she played.. then I understood!!
Not exactly amazing dancing at the begining, it was just the same move over n over after pretending to come out of the genies bottle! And that guy runs to the phone to tell someone they need to pick her act up as it was that good, they must have been easily pleased or starved of tallent back then!
Love this; the Organist is one SERIOUSLY talented Lady!!
I enjoy watching old movies. They bring back fond memories of what those days used to be.
Loving all these old movies. Thank you so much for bringing them to us❣
Thank you , I can count on you to find a great drama I’ve not seen yet ! God Bless you and your family !

Not really what I'd categorize as a crime drama, I'd say it's more of a comedy. But fun!
thanks for always great entertainment !
A very enjoyable film. Thanks.

A Fig Leaf for Eve/ Also Titled Desirable Lady.
June 28 - 2021.
5:40 Hey, isn't that old lady in the middle, one of the old ladies that would show up on the Andy Griffith show every now and then?

31:06 I'd bet she learned to play that way in New Orleans.
"Mac" needs his entire head grated through a cheese grater. Slowly.
another feel good movie
So, what was so bad about her dance she did? She never removed anything. Very reserved, I thought. Very pretty lady.
Madonna must have copied the Salome outfit from her😀
Good movie
Fun movie but that girl couldn't dance her way out of a wet paper bag. The dancing was awful.

🤪😂😂💃💃💃💃💃
This would have been a good role for Judy Holliday.
Reminds me a bit of Carole Lumbard.
Phil Warren looks nothing like Carol Lombard!!!!!
She's got a smoking body!! What a looker!😘
Most women did then
And they were far more elegant than now
Well they don't make m like that anymore......
Geoff YEEESH.... Thank the movie gods. 2nd rate production, writing, acting, and music. A great example of why the Nazis thought America was weak
Disgrace to Hollywood
It did have its moments...(ls)

Bobby Thorman Thank you for the information. She was fantastic!
thanks to you I it watched for the organist. Great, I can imagine her getting started with a church organ. What services they must have had!
Damn, she’s good!
👍🇺🇸
"not particularly"!! (well she is blonde!)
