Be sure to watch all his videos there should be a degree at the end of it after we watch all of them because we've just had a class by a great professor
Those last two phalaenopsis that were on camera before you put the lens cap on your camera we're absolutely fabulous the deep purple color of the one on the left and the painting and the red lip on the one on the right absolutely fantastic!
I have been growing orchids for almost 25 years and until 2 years ago I had only wasted my time, when I started watching your videos. With you came in my life my first RO plant and Calmag. Thanks for making such a great difference in my orchid growing experience. Love from karachi, pakistan.
Hi Rick! I can't believe I'm just now seeing this video! (How did I miss this one?!) What a great video, it was really interesting watching you mix up this "orchid tea"! Breaking all this down and explaining how to create your own mix is just awesome. I completely agree with fertilizing in small amounts and not burning any roots! Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with the orchid world, it has truly made a huge difference in my collection. Have a great day and happy growing! :)
.....Amy, I have always been a big fan of your shows, your a wonderful host, and you explain things so well, comments from you just make my day....thank you for the kind words....all my best to the Tennessee orchid Growing crew.........
Hi Rick. I'm brand new with growing orchids, and am just so thankful for your informational videos. You have a wealth of knowledge, plus you present it in a great way...so easy for even a beginner to understand...thank you! I look forward to watching and learning from you. God bless you and yours.
Rick L., I hope everyone noted your caution statement about highly concentrated mixtures burning plants. Yes, the low dose level is where newbies like me need start (Yes, sadly, that is a confession from personal experience). Thank you for this critically important caution statement and EXCELLENT tutorial. Let me just state the obvious about you; you were born for this! You are a gifted and master teacher as it appears to come so naturally for you. Your videos are fountains of infectious enthusiasm for growing orchids, which is why I return for refills so frequently. Thank you very much again! Date: May 19, 2018
God bless you and bless you forever, Rick. Love having you as a remote teacher in this awesome hobby...I hope you get to enjoy your family over the holidays...
Ricky thank you so very, very much for this video, showing us how to use our TDS meters!! I understood how the ph meter worked but didn’t know how to use my TDS meter! I’m probably a bit thick/slow but once shown it all fell into place and is now simple to understand!! This video has made the world of difference to me , and as to how I give my orchids the nutrients they need correctly! Thank you again Ricky your a brilliant teacher! Lots of love as always from across the pond😘😘 ps although I grow in water culture, seeing your success with river rocks as they are a non organic medium I’ve added some to my vases with the water only just covering them and let it evaporate before topping up, and it seems to be working well, even with two cymbidiums I’ve just converted 😊😊
Chris......such kind words, thank you my friend.....its an odd concept to follow, but once you use a little bit, it becomes second hand......your plants will love you!
To all of you folks who are watching this for the first time and find it hard to understand. It drives me CRAZY if you tell Rick that he's talking too fast or too slow for your ability to absorb. There is nothing wrong with his speed. And please keep your unhelpful comments about being bored or under stimulated by the content or administration of these videos! They are VIDEOS for Pete's sakes! That means you can stop them. or slow them or review them EASILY on your own, if you think you missed something! Please ask your questions respectfully and please have some patience. You know who you are...
The color of my circle has changed from blue to green I don't know how that happened... But I listen to Rick's videos over and over again not because he talks too fast or is boring because he gives us such a wealth of information but sometimes we can't remember every detail but that's our fault not is. He has taught me so much that also carries over into caring for my house plants in my garden. I just wish he was able to come back to us for a while. God bless him and God bless his wife and family
@@nanetteorchid6680 I hope it's always there and I often pray for Rick and his wife and ask God to give him back to us or at least give him back to his family! I've learned so much from him and I've tried to impart it on my channel when I talk about my houseplants my orchids xcetera. My houseplants have benefited because after I soak my orchids in the nutrient solution I feed it to my house plants and to my flowers outside. I am 71 years old and I loved it when Rick answered a question I had. He has a wonderful way of answering questions and not acting like he knows everything he had a passion for the orchids and just such a short part of his life
@@kathleenmurphy450 Yes, what you say is so true! My houseplants are also thriving because of Rick and what leftover I feed to my potted plants after my orchids are done eating. I have seen the blooms on all of my begonias, clivia, Citrus, Coffee tree go crazy from the additional cal/mag that I give them. My husband is thrilled, as he watches them double their size during the summer. Wherever you are Rick L., we miss and love you! Much love to your family as well...Thanks Kathleen for opening up this conversation...you are a kindred spirit!
All looking really good Rick, lots of new growths and all looking exceptional healthy. Love the blooms you have........hope you and your family had a great Christmas
Rick. It’s wonderful that you’re showing us methods to using fertilizers and supplying the nutrients needed by our flowers. In the past videos you had shown signs the orchids displays when it’s malnourished. This you’ve provided the fix in a flexible way with different available fertilizers often on store shelves and how to use them. Though there is a MSU formulation, can be inflexible if it’s the only food we have in our arsenal. For a lack of a better analogy it’s like supplying a gun with different bullets 😬. Thank you for your shared knowledge and experience and taking time in develop methods for us, while sometimes you’re in hospital and between personal issues. Have and wonderful and Merry Christmas and healthy and happy new year. So looking forward to seeing you if nothing just to say hi is fine too. Many many thanks and please stay healthy.
That stripped Phal is stunning!!! More excellent information, thank you for sharing. I've been experimenting with my fertilizer lately so this was useful for my current thought process. 👍🏻
....your doing great, your plants are responding and doing well........keep making your shows and updates........input from many helps so much.......Merry Christmas!
@@rickl.orchids I never commented on your pencil sharpener because I was always making numerous comments on your videos but I noticed that right away that I would have loved to have had the pencil sharpener in my classroom like that so I could have kept an eye on how many times kids were sharpening their pencils teehee just grinding them away
Rick, yes, this video was very valuable. Even if I don't do things exactly the same way, the principles and guidelines in your videos are extremely important for orchid growing. Your videos demonstrate and reinforce those principles better than any others I have seen, and I greatly appreciate that. Your blooming phals are gorgeous. I think phals are greatly under-appreciated and taken for granted, but their blooms are the prettiest in the orchid world. Merry Christmas to you and your family and thanks for producing your channel this year. 🎄🎄🎄🎇🎇🎇
Rick, all the best to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas! Your knowledge and generosity has helped me bring my orchid growing to a higher level, and I am very grateful.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours as well 💞 Looking forward to another year of videos from you! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences!
Thank you for sharing your nutritional recipes with us. I'll definitely be trying it out. I look forward to seeing the other ways you mix nutrients. Happy growing 😊

Merry Christmas to you as well 🌲🙏💜 and yes!!! Thank you I like to see exactly what you do and thoughts while getting to the solution... Thank you for sharing. Those flowers and new growths looking awesome 😁😄
Just did my cal mag feed while listening to your video! I agree, small amounts with high frequency is the way to go for sure. Rick you're the best, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My buddy Rick, you made me cry ....because your message was so touching and I am just chicken shit and can't keep a dry eye....lol, lol So much for being a chicken, this was a very informative video. I believe that because I had been using granules I am underfeeding, but I am doing two gallons at a time so I would not need the same amount. What are we going to do without you, Rick?..... I worry man,.....I do. I know that I had not been watching you a lot because of school, but I do cheat and take a peek every now and then.I never get a break because now I am off school I am working on Nefertiti's story as a children's book.I do hope I get it done while you are still around. I won't start my book back from the realm until I finish school in 2019.Need more videos like this because I archive them. Love, Light and Kindness
Very interesting. Doing things this way is what makes the hobby interesting for me. I think a lot of people prefer mix this tell you get to X ppm then water. And that approach is good for the people that like it but it puts me to sleep, I like the mad scientist approach. But it can get you in trouble if your not careful and is definitely not for everyone.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family! Thank you for your inspiraling videos, I'm learning a lot. I bought my RO system and ready to grow my orchids!
I got my RO water system put in yesterday! Now I’m going to follow your directions to a T 🧐. Thank you 😊You don’t know if anyone wants to here this 😳 I do for sure Rick! Awesome 👏🏼 you are 🦸🏼♂️ super Hero
To you and yours Ric, may you both enjoy this festive season with good cheer🎄Great video and I'm just beginning to appreciate the importance of good nutrients for your orchids; not too dissimilar from my way of thinking about the nutritional value of good food (and the odd drink)! 😁
......Margaret, thank you for always having a kind word and being such an inspirational grower......I like your way of thinking......healthy body and healthy nature around us.......Merry Christmas to you and Keith, and a wonderful New Year....
Wow, what a great video. I appreciate you taking the time to show us different ways you feed your plants. Your orchids are looking might happy. You were right about my ph meter being off. It's since been recalibrated. I hope you had a warm and happy Christmas with your family. Wishing you the best to you and yours in 2018.
Dear Rick L., I pulled my container of Cal-mag out of my mailbox yesterday and was so excited! I woke up this morning and got onto UA-cam to ask you for a tutorial on how you mix and apply Cal-mag to orchids. Voila! Here you are having already posted a present to everyone! I stopped the video at 9:38 as you wondered if people wanted to see this. YES, WE DO! Again, you have no idea how much you inspire novices like me. I'm going to get the meter and other nutients you have and then follow your steps... precisely. Question. Do you set your orchids in this water to absorb the nutients? Again, some of us literally learn best through visuals. For those of us who are visual learners, I thank you a million times. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Date: December 24, 2017 at 8:12 AM
your are just too kind.....thank you....I love to grow and love helping others have success with it as well......and yes, I just set my pots right down in the tub and let them soak...........matter of fact i just finished a show on this.....your reading my mind....lol
Thank you so much for that information. I heard you say your State on a tutorial this morning. That helps me know my location (the State to your left) and environment may be agreeable, too. Every bit of knowledge helps. I ordered a ppm meter and the two other fertilizers this morning. My younger brother is an even newer orchid hobbist in our family in his retirement, so the number of students on your roster is growing. Date: December 24, 2017

Thanks a lot for this video. I will have to check and listen to what you are explaining here a couple times more but I will do it after the holidays. Have a very good festivities time and wish you a wonderful 2018.
Thank you Thank you.. for your knowledge. I just ordered cal mag an will have to order the other 2 . You explain so well even I understood the breakdown. Merry Christmas my friend have a Blessed holiday with your family
Hey Rick, Just saw the post surgery vid and want to wish you a speedy recovery. You know I can't seem to write you without a comment or suggestion. First, I got my pH meter thanks to your vids. Second, I learned to pronounce chelate differently. I don't like to state things without checking despite years of hearing academics say "keylate" and I did see that "cheelate" is an alternative but maybe less common. All the pronunciation tools I've seen so far use the former version. Anyway, now I'm looking at picking up some CAliMaGic!
Very informative video, I will need to get me one of those PPM readers. I normally just use a 1/4 teaspoon or so of the fertilizer or my kelp. Maybe that is why I do not seem to get the kind of results you are getting. Thank you for posting. :)
Super, wonderful tutorial . I enjoyed this so very much. It's exciting to watch as you mixed each ingredient. Thanks so much. Merry, Blessed Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours. I'd also like to see you do this with the Cal Nitrate, Epsom Salts, etc. I think they are to be used separately. Thanks again.
Hello Rick, a great video that has helped a long time orchid torturer, and recently reenergized and hopeful orchid grower. Your information on PH, tds/ph pens, and low doses of nutrients has been very very helpful. I believe my manufacturer provided measuring teaspoon, even at what I thought was half strength, increased the base water by 400-500 ppm. Amazon thanks you too.......I mixed my first batch of nutrients and watered this past weekend. I know you do a total nutrient based watering,/soaking, flush, and a cal/mag foliar spray. Can you share your frequencies or schedule for flushing, fertilizing, and cal/mag applications? Also, what a great shade house. You give some dimensions in your video’s, but did you use any special wood to avoid wood rot? Cedar, cypress, pressure treated? It is on my Spring to do list..... Kind regards, Mark
Mark thanks for the kind words......my feeding schedule changes so much....but there is some common factors that I need to touch on.......as for the shade house, its all pressure treated.......you will love one if you build it......so easy to use and the growth outside is what we orchid growers dream of seeing......growing in nature....wonderful questions.
A very very Merry Christmas to you too, Rick. This is a wonderful video that you have put up. I'd love to work exactly like this. Great learning but its not clear how you measure the 70% nitrogen and 30% P & K. Maybe I'll go thru once again. Thanks so much
Unbelievable, I have struggled for three years, and probably spent upwards of 1200 bucks in fertilizers and what have you for my orchids. I thought I was burning my orchids and come to find out it was a calcium/magnesium deficiency. I appreciate the fact you dont over explain or make it difficult to grasp, like many. I have come to your videos for so many of the situations that I have come across, and I really appreciate what you are doing, because you have made a hobby that I love more enjoyable.
Hi Rick, I know this video was 11 months ago but I’ve been following your UA-cam channel since a few months back. Thank you so much for all the info about raising orchids, and I admit at first I was so overwhelmed with the fertilizing routine with PPM and PH, but with over 400 hundred orchids accumulated in a span of two years, I became your avid subscriber, hahaha. I followed your advices and boy oh boy, my orchids are growing beautifully especially the vandas, I have a couple with 3-6 spikes and my dendrobium spectabili is flowering now with 3 spikes after 5 or more years. Incredible indeed and I think that has something to do with the seaweed fertilizer that you recommend. I’m not sure if I’m using it right though but is it okay to use it every single watering with small amount, maybe two capfuls in 4 gallon rain water or R/O water ? I water at 150-200 ppm. Again thank you so much and warm regards to you and your wife. She chose a good career and I can vouch on that because I was a Trauma ICU RN before I took early retirement and now raising orchids as a hobby. GOD BLESS
………..such kind words, I thank you very much...…...you feeding routine sounds great.....and your spikes speak for them selves.....I add kelp seawed about every 3rd watering....as spring arrives and days get longer I will add it more often.....I use 20-25ppm of it when its used......
Thank you Rick, I will add seaweed every other watering then . I think the ppm falls around that number you mentioned when I check the ppm each time I add the nutrient, and I use MSU fertilizer too for NPK source, I use to grow orchids not knowing the importance of measuring the ppm and ph but with diverse collection of different genera, I have to be serious with what I’m feeding them chids. Again, thank you so much. Looking forward to your next informative videos. Regards.
Rick L. Orchids What a great video! I'm having all kinds of leaf issues with my Phals., so now, I will be changing my fertilizer mix and dffinately use this video as a guideline! Thank you so much for making this! One question I have: Any idea why one of my Phals, has a newly growing leaf, that is curled under on both of it's sides? Do you think it may have been a watering issue, or a nutrient issue while the leaf was forming? I've searched for an answer on the web, but not much out there for this subject...Advice is much appreciated!
Hi Rick, Thank you for responding and all the helpful information. I was using rain water to fertilize my orchids. I also got some garden lime. Do you recommend Jack’s classic bloom booster? Thank you again!😊🌱 Happy growing!
…….great question...….No.... I don't recommend bloom boosters …..especially on orchids. They have very little control over absorbing P & K......they can and will absorb toxic amounts if given a lot......also, and as important...…..hormones make orchids bloom......not nutrients.....bloom boosters do not work.
Hi Rick, new subscriber, and new to Orchids. I really like the type you show at the very beginning that are growing on drift wood, and various other things you've trained them to. What types of Orchid's are these please? I have a piece of small drift wood and would like to try to find something like these.
...….I have Dendrobiums, cattleyas, Phals, and several others that are mounted...…….most orchids do well mounted...….its their natural way of growing......
I wish you could answer a question that just came to mind like you've answered other ones in the past. The question is you have us putting pelleted lime on our orchids and I do I ran out but I can't handle the big bag they had a 40 pound bag so I have to wait till they get a smaller bag in at Lowes. But you just said calcium can only be absorbed 5.8 pH I think is what you just said and what happens when you put the pelleted lime on it doesn't matter what the pH I guess of the media is maybe somebody who will read your comments because I know people are visiting your videos even though you haven't posted in awhile and can answer that question. My phalaenopsis are blooming basically because of the air conditioning turning on the ones that didn't Bloom over the winter. This is only my second winter the first winter was when I bought them. I just bought five Orchid bag babies they're Katt leya and they weren't doing real well because they've been at Lowe's for a while so I asked the manager if he'd reduce them and so instead of spending almost $15 each I only spent five I think I might go back and buy the rest if you leave your system. Now I have about 10 of them I bought some earlier this spring. I treated them just like my phalaenopsis but I think they need a change in temperature but I think it has to coincide with a change in light they need darkness in the winter air balloon so I hope I figure out how to get them to bloom I love your videos Rick I watch them over and over again because every time I watch one especially about your nutrients and mobile and immobile nutrients excetera excetera I hear something new but did not thank in the first time I watched
Rick Are you saying for 1 gallon of RO water (10 ppm) just use enough Ca Mg to go to 25 ppm Then just use the gallon only Ca Mg.solution alone? I make 1 gallon of each ( supplements ) fert.,camg, seaweed, The add some of each gallon to the sprayer etc ?? Thanks
Hi Rick, just found your video and had to subscribe! Living in central Florida for 5 years and find climate a little challenging to keep up with orchids as I should. Your video is fantastically informative, but, can you slow down a touch when explaining your chemistry? I had to watch it several times in order to understand and follow your explanations. Just a tad, if you can...Thanks and I am looking forward to watch ALL your videos... Mily Darling..God bless!
Thank you very much for all your videos Rick. Really enjoyed this 1 and I think I will purchase the individual nutrients next year. It is through watching your videos that I learnt about ph and I am just starting to notice the difference in my orchids! Could you please do a video on how to use superthrive one day? Thanks again. From Jonathan in Manchester, England.
Jonathan, thank you for the feedback.....means a lot.....I wish you continued success this year with your orchid collection. ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=ZVetgrS8-2I
Hi Rick. I have been watching all your lessons and I must say my orchids are thriving blooming and more healthy. I have moved from N CAL to Las Vegas where the humidity is an average of 22%. I am keeping them inside for fear of 110 degree weather in summer. 3 humidifiers and fans are on all the time. I have them in moss to keep them moist longer. I think i will try river rock so i can soak them often...what do you think? they love your nutrient formula...thank you for your videos...hope Jan continues to do well.....prayers continue
I like your thinking Jane.....growing in rock is growing them bare root.........the rocks just hold them in place.....give them something to anchor onto....Moss, which is a fine media.......is a temporary media in my opinion......its too acidic to start with, and breaks down very fast.....preventing absorption of many nutrients.....most importantly Calcium.....its why store bought Phals in moss, have root issues ......the trick to growing in stone is in how they are watered..........if you let them soak, they get fully hydrated and they can go days with out more water.......when you soak them......watch them, get to know the signs of good hydration vs slightly dehydrated....
Hey Rick it's so good to see those steady hands... Thanks for the lessons just came back from Kona, of course I found a grower in Hilo and... got some more orchids.. hopefully I'll be successful in the summertime in very hot Las Vegas... Continuing to pray for you and Jan, stay healthy guys!!
Merry Christmas to you and a happy, blessed 2018. Thanks for sharing your thought process for the orchid fertilizer recipe. Why did you decide to go with these percentages of nutrients? Do you switch it up depending the your goals for the plant's growth cycle?
Hi Rick, first I want to tell you how sorry I am for your condition, and mention that besides my crazy obsession with orchids and plants in general, I am also an energy healer and can send you and your wife some reiki (healing). I do have a question, first how do you know when a fertilizer and/or supplement is chelated? For some reason I can’t get my ph levels right without my tds levels spiking, (very frustrating😒). And can you use the combination of fertilizers you are using with each feeding throughout the year. I have been growing my orchids in full water culture. I have been following Danielle’s Orchid Ranch method, and I am trying to formulate the best feed for them. And for some reason the orchids are drinking the water but not the fertilizer. I also have the seaweed extract I will be adding. Thank you and I hope you and your wife are well!🌱Happy growing!
Mya.....thank you for the kind words.....check the label, the ingredient label will say Chelated or not....most are. The issue your having with the PH spiking is very common..........as long as your nutrient mix solution is in the lower 6's your fine......I feed between a PH of 6.0 - 6.5 most of the time......if your mix is much higher than 6.7 - 6.9.....then I would add something to lower it......PH down or citric acid is the common products used......but try some Kelp/Seaweed to lower the ph......PH down or citric acid works fine but it can also add a lot of ppm's to your final amount total.....the K/S will drop the ph...….but usually only adds a few ppms to the total...…….its my preferred method, if I need to lower the ph...….Your beginning water should also be very pure...….if it has s lot of sodium, or hardness to it, etc …...the ph can be hard to lower, and not remain stable. …….also.....remember, as plants soak and feed.....they remove certain nutrients from the mix...….depending on what they remove from the nutrient mix......it can also raise or even lower the ph...…….
I have been thinking I need to switch up my Ferts because since growing in S/H for 2 years I see my growth is smaller. I need something more for growing in the s/h. I have lots of snow I need to get some snow water.
Hi Rick, happy 1st day of Spring! i am going back and watching your nutrient videos and I have a question. I know you get a lot of comments so hopefully you'll see this. I have well water and recently bought a water testing kit because i was curious if i could use it to water my plants. Until recently I've been using rainwater but there are times I run out and may need to use what i have on hand. So the test results for my well water were the following: water hardness=450ppm chlorine=0 alkalinity=180ppm ph=7-8 Nitrite=0 Nitrate=5 Copper=0 and Iron=.3ppm no other results were given. So my question is, if I use the same formula you provide in this video but use my well water instead, would it still be beneficial? And do you recommend i try it? Maybe a bit less to start?
SueLee, it warms my heart to see your words.......I think of you every time I pick up my bible.. Hope all is well with you and the family.........your well water is high in total ppm.....the 180ppm of alkalinity is a big issue......and the ph of 7.8 is near the top of usability.....The total amount of feed I give my orchids is 130-145ppm total........you wouldn't want to start with 450ppm water to begin with.......over several watering's the sodium would build up and cause root issues very quickly.......if rain water is not easy to collect or not enough..........I would look into a R/O system..........orchids need water that's under 25ppm to start with
@@rickl.orchids I feel so blessed to hear that. All is well. I hope you and the "camera girl" are resting and feeling well. lol i was afraid that was going to be your exact answer. 😭 I figured the 450ppm and 180ppm would be a huge problem. Looks like i will need to invest in another rain barrel. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.

You are a gifted and master teacher as it appears to come so naturally for you. Your videos are fountains of infectious enthusiasm for growing orchids, which is why I return for refills so frequently. Thank you very much again! Date: May 19, 2018
Ditto, Rick makes this completely understandable . He's a remarkable instructor.
God bless you and bless you forever, Rick. Love having you as a remote teacher in this awesome hobby...I hope you get to enjoy your family over the holidays...
Thank you so very much Cara, you kind words have meant so much to me over the summer and fall......Merry Christmas and blessings to you and yours...
learning so much....i'm going back in time and reviewing your past posts...
I just love this video. Thanks for breaking it down. Love it.
Well said
The color of my circle has changed from blue to green I don't know how that happened...
@@kathleenmurphy450 Miss him and all he gave to us. I, also revisit his site, often. I'm grateful it is still here...
Thank you so much, Rick! That helps me a lot.
Have a wonderful day, wonder weeks, wonderful months all year long.
Many many thanks and please stay healthy.
such wonderful and kind thoughts. thank you so much.......Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year !!! ♥️♥️
Rick; thanks for this video. I understood in theory how to balance the nutrients, but seeing it actually done is SO helpful!
I like your clips on growing orchids. Thanks 👌
Great info and I absolutely LOVE the mount for the pencil sharpener/pencil holder. Brilliant!
lol........your the first to notice that.........best pencil sharpener ever....
Looks like something I would do, or my father who was a design engineer! I love the idea of having it handy wherever yoou need it. Nice!

Thank you Rick for your orchid feeding/supplement tips. Wishing you and yours a positive 2018 :) Faith xo

Anyway, now I'm looking at picking up some CAliMaGic!
i found calmag in a growshop for weed.:) thnx for the tip..:)
Very informative video, I will need to get me one of those PPM readers. I normally just use a 1/4 teaspoon or so of the fertilizer or my kelp. Maybe that is why I do not seem to get the kind of results you are getting. Thank you for posting. :)
well sir i’m seeing this and watching and taking notes and this is good shit! literally 😅

I love to see the calculation! Thx
Great demo Rick and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas to you!
Merry Christmas ...Judith.......thank you!
A very very Merry Christmas to you too, Rick. This is a wonderful video that you have put up. I'd love to work exactly like this. Great learning but its not clear how you measure the 70% nitrogen and 30% P & K. Maybe I'll go thru once again. Thanks so much
thank you my friend, I will do it again and explain some more.....thank you and have a wonderful and very Merry Christmas....
I have come to your videos for so many of the situations that I have come across, and I really appreciate what you are doing, because you have made a hobby that I love more enjoyable.
cant ask for better feedback..........thank you.
Where can i buy them? Thank you so much for great videos! I learned so much from you, thanks!
Hi Rick,
Thank you for responding and all the helpful information. I was using rain water to fertilize my orchids. I also got some garden lime. Do you recommend Jack’s classic bloom booster?
Thank you again!😊🌱
Happy growing!
Wow, everything is looking great, lots of new growth, healthy roots, and lots f blooms, do you get natural lights coming into your growing room?
thank you my sweet friend.......there is a window,, but it faces due North......no sun comes thru it.....
I make 1 gallon of each ( supplements ) fert.,camg, seaweed,
The add some of each gallon to the sprayer etc ?? Thanks
your method is fine...……...if you want to feed calmag alone you can
Hi Rick, just found your video and had to subscribe! Mily Darling..God bless!
thank you Mily, I will......I get all worked up talking nutrients.....
It is obvious...it happens when you are really passionate about something!

@@rickl.orchids I will put my vandas in Rock...God knows there's lots here in Las Vegas... thank you so much for your response.
Do you switch it up depending the your goals for the plant's growth cycle?
your spot on Reese, I normally use it in those ranges and percentages, .....its very flexible....
Hi Rick I was thinking about you hoping evething is going well with you and your family, I'm missing your videos 😃🇨🇦
I have lots of snow I need to get some snow water.
snow melt would be great........if its ph is close to neutral.......plants in semi-hydro need a more steady supply of nutrients due to -0- reserves
