From a indev perspective he made no sense, just take for example the hitboxes of his blades. They are way larger than the blades themselves. So yeah he's definitely been artificially overtuned.
The first Radahn had his hitboxes fixed, it wasn't technically a nerf. This Radahn is being empowered by Miquella + Mohgs blood magic Radahn is kind of a fraud ngl
I actually like the changes to his punish windows. It compensates for his massive poise and allows you to stagger him more often. It also makes using colossal weapons actually viable. That being said, I like that he still has fast recovery on some attacks, since it still keeps the fight fairly quick paced despite being noticably slowed down. Also you can fight him up front now, which is way more fun and engaging than hugging his right leg under constant threat of the double slash
Nah, man. I get the nerfs to some of his hitboxes, doubleslash and light effects. All good changes. But his windows were enough to comfortably beat him with collossals. I've beat him a few times with a greatsword and fire knight sword and both these fights were fine, you just couldn't spam lion's claw like a morron.
@@qzemii3653 My point is that you'd get considerably less safe windows when compared to lighter weapons. Therefore, it felt less viable. Like before the patch, poise breaking Radahn was so rare if you use colossal sword. So I think in that regard he's better balanced now.
@cynvic1872 Isn't less safe windows, but more damage and poise damage per hit the entire point of heavier weapons? It really didn't feel that hard to poise break him before, my first winning attempt I poise broke him twice. I haven't fought the nerfed version yet so maybe it's more balanced than I realize, but it feels like it be a bit too easy seeing the videos of it.
From a game design perspective this is a good change because originally the boss was way too overtuned. Before I get a “SkIlL iSsUe” I already beat the boss pre nerf.

This fight was a beast, but to me that’s what a final boss is supposed to feel like. You’re facing a newborn god, and arguably the greatest champion that the Lands Between has ever seen, whose soul has been stuffed into the body of another powerful demigod. It’s not supposed to be easy.
when i beat the pre nerf fight i felt like i overcame some virus in my pc that i had to kill to get rid of, it was rewarding in the wrong way. post nerf it feels like a fair fight with reasonable attacks and no bullshit. the arena is still a bit clunky, and i still think miquellas hair was always the biggest issue for me honestly, shits BLINDING. overall great update though
I think this feels mostly like a fix for me instead of nerf He was already my favorite boss But he had issues This boss is a endurance test but he used to have a bs attack that was near impossible to avoid unless you played entirely around it by missing attack opportunities and sticking to his left side which was boring for me so I usually just took the hit He also had some attacks that unless using a dagger you could not punish which was also weird for a fight that had so much hp The only moves I would say were nerfed was the nuke in phase 2 and blood slash(the jump clone was also changed but imo the change is neither good or bad just neutral I enjoyed both variants) The nuke is so much more fun now since you can now run in for a punish whcih makes the lazers feel a lot more fun to deal with and makes the attack now just a time waster like malenia aoenia Blood slash imo was a massive downgrade since it now doesn't go into the combos so it feels more like a mohg reference than a cool move Overall imo this was a great fix that while it does lower the challenge trust me the boss is still insanely tough and it just makes the fight more fun overall and feel more like a back and forth We lost 1 10/10 move in blood slash sure but we also made 1 dogshit move and 1 iffy move awesome so imo it was a worthy change Overall he is now gone from my possible favorite even if super flawed to my definite favorite and a flawless masterpiece of a boss now
this isn’t a “nerf” in my opinion, they fixed some genuine PROBLEMS with the fight, like the double slash being just a bit too annoying to dodge properly pre patch, as well as the light being obnoxious and overwhelming. those are good needed changes, not an unwarranted nerf
@dreasmansisreal yes but slowing down a lot of his attacks and making the punish windows way longer makes the fight kind of a joke now. The only problematic things that should've been a adjusted were double slash (and they should've just lowered the tracking on the second hit instead of literally just slowing down the animation because now it looks off) and debatably the brightness of the lights (honestly they look weird now too and I never really had an issue with them pre patch). Everything else is just "fixing" something that wasn't really broken in the first place
I really don't get why some people are upset by this. There's so much more options to do now that you don't have to be a light roll to dodge that attack (it was actually possible to dodge it with a medium weight before nerf AND poor positioning but i never did understand how i did it.)
@@hellogoodbye3786 exactly man, radahn went from a low c tier fight full of bullshit, to honestly a mid a tier fight. people are just so picky and can’t be happy when they actually GET what they want
That pre-nerf double slash. could be a tricky one to dodge, but we only need to dodge up front left or right and spin the controller to the back of his side and we can dodge both slashes in 1 roll
It still looks pretty difficult for a final boss, without some of the bs. I'd have to play it again, but he does still look like the hardest boss of the dlc. Although, it's hard to see as you're stomping him so hard either way lmao. You're gaming dude!

Yh I fought him today and he's still really hard. All the elitists crying about how he's slow now haven't even fought him post nerf yet wanna cry about how they ruined him. His moves still come out extremely fast and he does a lot of damage despite the dmg nerf. He's not easy at all.
Glad about the triple slash nerf and the particle effect reduce because you can see things now. At any rate, there is a mod that restores the boss, so it's whatever.
I beat him 2 days ago when I found out they nerfed him lol I was struggling but I’m glad to have fought him before the nerf I was able to tell instantly how different the fight felt, still hard but doable.
Haven't fought him post-patch yet but I'm really hoping the performance was touched on in this fight. His phase 2 was particularly headache inducing due to the frame drops from all the particle effects, I'd get inputs eaten and then 2 hit rollcaught because of it, led to a lot of unfair and sour deaths and it's why I've cheesed him every other run than my initial first DLC completion. With these changes, though, I think I'll fight him normally (especially if the performance is up to snuff).
what is also funny is that after beating phase 1, phase 2 shouldnt be anymore complicated other than a few light attacks but due to miquellas hair obscuirng the whole screen its like learning a whole new boss
@@SOULS280 They really went there and ruined what made this fight so special, absolute lunacy decision by From Software catering to the extreme loud minority of this deranged community, I’ve beaten this boss 9 times on 9 different NG+7 DLC playthroughs, helped a 100 other players, AND now after this patch, I’m helping others and most of them are still using Impenetrable Thorns or Shield-poke, there you go FromSoft I guess, completely nerfing this boss to the absolute worst possible way, he feels slow now, has way too big punish windows, doesn’t enforce any strict rules, they could’ve fixed the cross slash & increased recovery time for Bloodflame attack but not make the whole fight slow-motion everything. I’m in pain right now lol, it’s so bad & disappointing.
@@HeyTarnished Yea i think they made his recovery last so long that you don't have to think about windows to deal damage. They should've only nerfed his cross slash. I beat the dlc no-hit and beat him lvl 1 with +0 weapon 0blessing. He's kinda 2 slow now and easier than morgot. Morgot has a more complex move set. But it is what it is.
@@SOULS280 Yeah so true, the only thing this boss had was the extreme aggression & his phase 2 AOE attacks & clones, nothing else really, Rellana, Messmer, Maliketh, Morgott, Malenia and many others have way more complex movesets. It’s sad honestly but yeah like you said, it is what it is.
They shouldn’t have nerfed his damage and stamina damage on top of everything else. The new openings and slower attacks were more than enough. All we really needed was for the 1-2 cross slash to be fair, and for the lightshow to not tank performance. They went too far, he’s lost the overwhelming intimidation that made him special. He was bullshit before but they overcorrected.
Has anyone done a comparison on his damage pre vs post-nerf? I've been scouring youtube but all I can find are the changes to his attack animations, damage windows after attacks, etc. Everyone seems to be overlooking the damage nerf and misinformation is gonna go crazy if it's not specified exactly what changed and by how much.
Just learn his attack pattern bro, it really isn’t that hard to get used to. He uses his slash attacks in phase 1 , just stay close to him. You can watch guides on his hologram type attacks.
that x cross moveset is actually the perfect opportunity for a massive counter attack if you utilise the Deflecting Hardtear basically its a cool fight when you play like Sekiro, much more reasonable and now its even easier which is a good thing (i dont like FromSoftware games for the difficulty) i almost lost all of my sanity beating him the first time with traditional way pre neft, play whatever the way you want to keep your sanity intact
I think he is overall less aggressive, i.e. he might be more prone to switch to idle mode for a few seconds now. Previously if you backed away to heal, he almost immediately went for some gap closing move and punished you, while now it seems he is willing to let you do it.
I think he is same agression level just now he can't animation cancel recovery Which is why certain moves which couldn't be punished can be punished now
He's not less aggressive at all imo. Occasionally he'll let u sip but there r plenty of times where he won't. If u heal right after a combo as well, he still starts another attack almost way too quickly.
@@anonisnoone6125 his aggression hasn’t changed he just doesn’t cancel the recovery on some attacks which gives you windows which for a boss of his hp he desperately needed to give
I think overall they did a good job on the fixes, things like the cross/double slash and the nuke destroying your fps weren't great. I do feel like they went overboard a little and nerfed some things that didn't need to be changed: - The jump back into the air followed by the 4 time clone attack doesn't have a follow up combo anymore - The gravity attack no longer has a hitbox when he initially puts his swords into the ground - The 2 hand slash & bloodflame strike being slower with a longer opening after I'm not going to lose sleep over these and at the end of the day for most people this is probably good, but I loved the feeling of fighting Radahn at his peak with assistance from a god so taking away additional stuff to make it easier kind of ruins the challenging aspect for me but it is what it is, hopefully more people can enjoy the boss now!
The fact that it took me longer to do this fight with mimic than pretty much any other dlc fight without says alot. It was the one boss I just couldn’t even be bothered to fight solo.
“If you fought radahn pre-nerf, would you lose?” “He might give me a little trouble, but…Nah. Id win.” This is what I tell myself at night to stave off the shame
It's great that they slowed down the cross slash attack. That never felt consistent to me and now it looks way more manageable. And I didn't personally mind the visual clutter, but given how many people complained about it, I'm glad they fixed that. But I don't think the bloodflame slash nerf was all that necessary tbh. I do think that these changes are a net positive overall though.
Honestly replaying DS1 after this was like a breath of fresh air. Glad they nerfed him, the fight was a slog pre-patch but I did it (Also no slight against Elden Ring, it's just a far cry from early Fromsoft soulslikes)
I think for a majority the nerf needed to happen. Before anyone says anything about "git gud" to me. I beat him pre nerf with a colossal weapon (Prelates Hammer) on NG and NG+.
I see a lot of ppl complaining about the cross slash. Should not. Prepatch if you dodged once to the left it was enough to dodge both slashes. Post patch of you dont time it right, either the first or the second slash will rollcatch. I found it actually more difficult than the prepatch one
It was way more specific than dodging to the left, it required you to keep specific positioning the entire fight. It was just a poorly designed frametrap. It used to stunlock you so they’ve actually had to nerf this move twice showing how poorly designed it was.
The one and only move that needed to be fixed was Cross Slash and even that... Before it was a move that encourages proper positioning instead of roll-spamming like a headless chicken. He didn't need any nerf to his damage nor needed slower attacks, light of Miquella didn't needed to be change; that move was a real threat before, it was actually difficult to dodge to the point that if you weren't paying attention and start running as soon as Radahn started to levitate, you'll get hit. Now it's absolutely trivial, dodging light of miquella is so extremely easy they might just remove that attack completely, now it doesn't encourage attention, it just leaves Radahn opened to... Literally anything. Changing Radahn's behavior at the start of the fight was unnecessary too, Radahn's gravity drill move was so extremely easy to dodge and it leave him wide open for you to attack him with charged attacks, summon if you will, even some fast buffs, etc. Well, people are going to complain about anything nonstop until they get what they want; and that's not only in soulsborne games... Vegetta Ozaru and Yajirobe also got nerfed in Sparking Zero just because of people's complains. Vegetta Ozaru wasn't even that hard at all, I beat him first try... My god even Margit was way harder in comparison. Radahn wasn't impossible before and he didn't render useless most builds like most people said, I defeated him with Fireknight Greatsword. (Took me like 90 attempts though) So, Shield Poking wasn't the only real way kill him, it only was the EASIEST way to kill him, and that's why people used that strat so much. The only real thing that needed update was the FPS issue.

With the nerf I was finally able to beat him in ng+7. The pre-nerf cross slash made me use too many heals so I would hit phase 2 with low resources. He's still very hard, but much more enjoyable now

And to be fucking honest he doesn’t seem so different its just a comparison between cola and diet cola just look at him 1 second faster, you could still play with summon or play high poise build and still same result, the ego is killing me
People always act like the nerf is substantial but they don't even know the stats before saying it, lmao they just see that a boss is nerfed and act like it's gutted. There's videos comparing the data and literally the most minimal of differences changed. No visible differences in damage and the slight change in frames doesn't change the fact that you are still dodging the same and getting the same attacks off. They're retarded.
One of my least favourite things in Elden ring is that fights never seem “fair” - in PvP attackers are nerfed and in PvE bosses are either almost guaranteed to win 1,000,000 times or be a duo fight and have the same issue. This fight now looks like two powerful warriors going at it.
Probably gonna go for pirated 1.13.2 or prenerf mods now. Moves that made you think and required precision are now kinda generic attacks, besides those things, Radahn has no vampiric or status effect immunity, so I honestly don't know how he can be considered harder than Malenia for example, cuz Malenia even requires you to learn attacks and dodge them to be effective and even shield build will struggle a bit, while Radahn with OP builds is just faceroll as well as 90% of other bosses in this new patch. Oh by the way Rellana's talisman changes.......
This honestly shows how simplistic Radahn’s fight is (once you learn that most of his AOEs after hits can be managed by not backing away from him), the only thing he had is the extreme unbridled aggression to the point he forces players to be creative while mindful about every action they take, you’re literally fighting a freaking God and a Lord, the cross slash needed a fix, and maybe the increased recovery after Bloodflame attack, but that’s it IMO, I’m so mad seeing how hard they went with the nerf, I’ve never been this disappointed ever by From Software. It’s painful to see.
Damn.... My brother and I worked as a team in both our realms to defeat him, level 200 each scadu level 10 each.. Xbox SX here. The fact I won't be able to fight him like that again om console is a gift sent and regrettable at the same time. Any wins from here will just have an asterisk.

Fromsoft: *SLIGHTLY SLOWS DOWN SOME ATTACK ANIMATION* Players: *Seethe with pure anger about their hard game not being hard* Jesus Christ it’s still the hardest boss in the game. The “nerfs” they made were minor at most and only serves to alleviate how cheap the fight felt.
This fight is still tough af for me While yeah easer than og I think bar blood slash all of these were good changes since they make the boss just a more enjoyable experience and less bs feeling No more One minute of "Let me hit you please"
While I like a difficult fight, his second phase is just weird. I generally like to parry and riposte, but to beat him you need to heavily rely on precision rolling and quick weapons.... that's not my play style, so I like the "nerf" in the sense that it suites my methodical play style better. It's not exactly easy mode either, if you mess up he will severely punish you. I've no-hit Malenia, so it's not a skill issue on my end.
He just looks like he got slowed down to .75, which he did, anddd he looks so fuckin weird. Like he takes forever to bring his arms back up after the cross slashes but can 2 frame hit you with an initial slash attack . Timing is super off now and I see negative reviews on steam now BECAUSE he’s easier. Most cursed boss in existence
@Benzene21 he's not particularly difficult anymore. The double slash nerf was needed even if they implemented it poorly but everything else was way overboard. I was completely stuck on this boss on my rl1 0 blessing run and after the nerf (and not playing elden ring for a month) I came back and beat him in 6 attempts. The boss piss easy now
He was hard before, but for the wrong reasons. I prefer a medium-hard but honest fight rather than extremely hard and tedious. And for the people who say is a joke now; Of course if you memorized a boss to the insanity is gonna be easy, specially after they gave him more windows...
@@Benzene21nah not at all he’s a lot slower. There’s a lot more attack windows. If you beat him before the Nerf, it was hard to time the attack windows it’s probably easier for players who played him 1 million times like I did before the Nerf, who basically got his attacks pretty much memorized. But if it’s your first time fighting him and you haven’t Face him yet he’s still gonna be hard.
Ion like it. Hes just.....slow motion now lol. The one thing i like is the 1 frame to perfect dodge slash is fixed, but even that i feel didnt have to get THAT slow
Well i beat the og pre nerf radahn at lvl 50 back in the days, basegame radahn, guess i can deal with this, nerfed or not, i never complain about it, except for that 4 hits combo reduction to 2, but still not that bad for me to complain, when i complain is when they buff bosses i got used to fighting, thats just straight up disgusting. Never happened on from software games but did in other games. BTW does the Sekiro being one of the hardest FS games still even stand? I beat it recently on my second playthrough and felt like either i got too good even if i didnt play it for almost 5 or 6 years, or everything got nerfed badly, probably the first reason i dont think Isshin got nerfed, even tho i beat him 3rd try.

Did you try beating him post patch? He isn’t that much different. Sure, you can punish him more, but if you struggled with his attacks before, you will still struggle post patch.
I beaten him before the patch and it was hard but fun asf but now he doesn't look impressive he was thematically a powerful lord now he look like a retired one
Pre-nerf it felt like some absurd force that you couldn't contrast. Beating him felt like you truly managed to best a God. Now it's just a good final boss. "oh finally I won" and not "I can't believe it..I did it...I fucking did it". Post nerf dudes will never know this feeling of having overcome what seemed impossible.
This wasn't a nerf. I don't know why people are saying it's a nerf. Did they remove attacks? Did they slash his damage? Did they chunk his max HP? No. They did none of these things. They did not make him easier. They did not nerf him. They FIXED him. They made an obnoxiously awful attack properly interactable, they added *three* punish opportunities to make him more interactive for players, and they reduced the comical overload of particle effects in the second phase. It's exclusively positive and it needed to happen. I beat him on three playthroughs, two on NG and one on NG+. Every time it was a miserable affair and it never felt good or rewarding to win. He was the *one and only boss* in the entire DLC that I just found to be poorly conceived in multiple different ways. Thankfully, none of that is true anymore. This is excellent news.
I remember how good I felt when I beat him the first before the nerf without summons. I felt a feeling of great accomplishment. But since he is nerfed, I don't think I will get that feeling again. He's too easy now. I hate when the cry babies get their way.
I honestly am so disappointed with this nerf. Honestly imo at best cross slash was all they needed to change a bit but they neutered him so bad. Fighting him again hasn’t been as adrenaline pumping, frankly hasn’t been at all.

@@wirechairYou can see this guy do a no hit on him pre-patch. That means the boss is just hard, not ubeatable. As any boss in souls-like games, once you understood the pattern and learnt what attacks give you a punishment window it's just a game of hit and run
Too think a patch was necessary, but I also agree with you partially because even though the patch had good intends and improved the fight a lot in some ways, they overcompensated a little in other areas. I agree with your statement that a final boss, one with such lore significance which clearly describes him as the strongest should be hard. I always loved his fight pre nerv, and I felt like all of his attacks except for one were naturally learnable, and consistently dodgable without specific builds. However, no matter how good the fight was, he did have an attack that was borderline impossible to dodge in certain situations - the double cross slash and it's good that they patched that. Such an attack does not belong in any good fight. I never had issues with visibility and found that partially obscuring phase two attacks was a fun test on how well you remember phase one attacks as they are essentially the same. This is one aspect of the nerv, I can't agree nor disagree with. What I definitely don't agree with are the added huge openings, and decreased damage on all attacks. I am one of the defenders of long combos and the fight wouldn't have felt as climactic and even cathartic if it didn't go on for so long and if his strings weren't so threatening. They should have patched the one unfair attack, and considered the brightness of Miquellas light attacks, and leave it at that. I disagree with you in that a patch was completely unjustified, but I do agree that certain aspects were. I loved Consort Radahn's fight before and I love it now. But I worry that the fight will from now on be just a ittle too short.
Eh kinda disappointed with the nerf. . Radahn got so neutered. Couple of youtubers cry about it. Minority of players just happened to be loud enough. For a community that wants a "hard game" and they cry about this one. Im not even saying im the best. I think im just average. But souls games were...sure a skill issue, but id say patience Too. And i dont look up guides or ongbal until i beat the boss. Never once with any souls game boss did i say god damn this boss is unfair. I just realize that i havent learn the boss yet . I personally thought malenia was harder. Took me 3 days. This guy took me an hr an a half. Iono. All i gotta say is i thought maybe bale was a lil harder The cross slash....maybe, but everything else seems unecessary. Especially with how less agro he is. He seems as fast as the base game bosses now.
Only the visual nerf was necessary, lets be fair you can have mimic, 14 estus, if you killed all the boss, you should be around lvl 230 even in ng, with maxed schedule tree fragments and mimic tear ashes

Totally agree with you. I’m not with the changes to make me a little easier.

Miquellas hair is my absolute biggest issue with this fight. It always gets in my face and I can’t see shit
My Beloved General Nerfed in to the ground again
I think this feels mostly like a fix for me instead of nerf
He was already my favorite boss
But he had issues
This boss is a endurance test but he used to have a bs attack that was near impossible to avoid unless you played entirely around it by missing attack opportunities and sticking to his left side which was boring for me so I usually just took the hit
He also had some attacks that unless using a dagger you could not punish which was also weird for a fight that had so much hp
The only moves I would say were nerfed was the nuke in phase 2 and blood slash(the jump clone was also changed but imo the change is neither good or bad just neutral I enjoyed both variants)
The nuke is so much more fun now since you can now run in for a punish whcih makes the lazers feel a lot more fun to deal with and makes the attack now just a time waster like malenia aoenia
Blood slash imo was a massive downgrade since it now doesn't go into the combos so it feels more like a mohg reference than a cool move
Overall imo this was a great fix that while it does lower the challenge trust me the boss is still insanely tough and it just makes the fight more fun overall and feel more like a back and forth
We lost 1 10/10 move in blood slash sure but we also made 1 dogshit move and 1 iffy move awesome so imo it was a worthy change
Overall he is now gone from my possible favorite even if super flawed to my definite favorite and a flawless masterpiece of a boss now
this isn’t a “nerf” in my opinion, they fixed some genuine PROBLEMS with the fight, like the double slash being just a bit too annoying to dodge properly pre patch, as well as the light being obnoxious and overwhelming. those are good needed changes, not an unwarranted nerf
Pre nerf was perfect for me
It still looks pretty difficult for a final boss, without some of the bs. I'd have to play it again, but he does still look like the hardest boss of the dlc. Although, it's hard to see as you're stomping him so hard either way lmao. You're gaming dude!

I spent three days trying to defeat Radhan at launch, fought him after the nerf and killed him on the second try...
@@Cr00ked_Cat There are still some frame drops when he does his special combo in the second phase. It's definitely better then before the nerf

@@ijustplaygames120 Same. He was busted but still really fun in a weird way. Even with the bs, it was such a good felling when you overcame the bs
The speed nerf makes it doable with colossal weapons now though, so that an entire build isn't blocked from the experience. That's definitely fair.
The damage nerf doesn’t seem very big
Just learn his attack pattern bro, it really isn’t that hard to get used to. He uses his slash attacks in phase 1 , just stay close to him. You can watch guides on his hologram type attacks.
His damage nerfs are extremely minor lmao, the stats people have compared were around 10 at most for his most prominent attacks in both phases
that x cross moveset is actually the perfect opportunity for a massive counter attack if you utilise the Deflecting Hardtear
basically its a cool fight when you play like Sekiro, much more reasonable and now its even easier which is a good thing (i dont like FromSoftware games for the difficulty)
i almost lost all of my sanity beating him the first time with traditional way pre neft, play whatever the way you want to keep your sanity intact
I think he is overall less aggressive, i.e. he might be more prone to switch to idle mode for a few seconds now. Previously if you backed away to heal, he almost immediately went for some gap closing move and punished you, while now it seems he is willing to let you do it.
I think he is same agression level just now he can't animation cancel recovery
Which is why certain moves which couldn't be punished can be punished now
Hit hitboxes also were extremely inflated making him extremely tedious to do position based strats.
I do feel like they went overboard a little and nerfed some things that didn't need to be changed:
- The jump back into the air followed by the 4 time clone attack doesn't have a follow up combo anymore
- The gravity attack no longer has a hitbox when he initially puts his swords into the ground
- The 2 hand slash & bloodflame strike being slower with a longer opening after
I'm not going to lose sleep over these and at the end of the day for most people this is probably good, but I loved the feeling of fighting Radahn at his peak with assistance from a god so taking away additional stuff to make it easier kind of ruins the challenging aspect for me but it is what it is, hopefully more people can enjoy the boss now!
The fact that it took me longer to do this fight with mimic than pretty much any other dlc fight without says alot. It was the one boss I just couldn’t even be bothered to fight solo.
makes this boss fight so much better i love it
“If you fought radahn pre-nerf, would you lose?”
“He might give me a little trouble, but…Nah. Id win.”
This is what I tell myself at night to stave off the shame

It's great that they slowed down the cross slash attack. That never felt consistent to me and now it looks way more manageable. And I didn't personally mind the visual clutter, but given how many people complained about it, I'm glad they fixed that. But I don't think the bloodflame slash nerf was all that necessary tbh.
I do think that these changes are a net positive overall though.
@@Max-rz8br 5/10 nerf. The cross slash was a amazing nerf and less visual clutter(for the fps). But the nerf to his stamina is horrendous.
Honestly replaying DS1 after this was like a breath of fresh air. Glad they nerfed him, the fight was a slog pre-patch but I did it
(Also no slight against Elden Ring, it's just a far cry from early Fromsoft soulslikes)
I wholeheartedly agree
Nah man I’m gonna tell the story of how the pre nerf double slash got me every time!
The Nerf to ring of Miquella is so disappointing. The original version made it actually look like a God attack
both versions needed a nerf thats actually crazy
Managed to beat pre nerf soloa and tell the tale!
After nerfs we can now see why radahn isn't a perfect fight. For me he is a bit mechanical, almost robot like humanoid fight that's too schematic
People are really losing there minds for literally no reason. This nerf just fixes some stuff
It fixes the difficulty to make him easier.
(Took me like 90 attempts though)
So, Shield Poking wasn't the only real way kill him, it only was the EASIEST way to kill him, and that's why people used that strat so much.
The only real thing that needed update was the FPS issue.
Atleast you can actually fight him without relying on the turtle poke method now. Im excited to use fun builds against this boss now
Thank you for the comparison. Well... whether he's nerfed or not, you are the best mouse and keyboard player on the Lands Between AFAIK.
Thank you so much for the support. I still have a long way to go before being the best :)

And i hope i could try him but no im ln console i can’t try prenerf radhan
People always act like the nerf is substantial but they don't even know the stats before saying it, lmao they just see that a boss is nerfed and act like it's gutted. There's videos comparing the data and literally the most minimal of differences changed. No visible differences in damage and the slight change in frames doesn't change the fact that you are still dodging the same and getting the same attacks off. They're retarded.
Watching this in 30 fps, even just on my phone, is making me nauseous AF
One of my least favourite things in Elden ring is that fights never seem “fair” - in PvP attackers are nerfed and in PvE bosses are either almost guaranteed to win 1,000,000 times or be a duo fight and have the same issue. This fight now looks like two powerful warriors going at it.
Am I the only one that doesn’t notice any difference?
@@tylerhunter6379 You have larger windows for punishing post-nerf and you can dodge the double slash normally.
Oooh gotcha… thanks for the clarification

There’s a lot more attack windows. after finally beating radahn before he was nerfed, it felt awesome, now his fight kinda looks like a joke, the look and feel is just slow. idk how else to put it.
Yea. It feels like he aged 60 years because how slow he is now
Did you try beating him post patch? He isn’t that much different. Sure, you can punish him more, but if you struggled with his attacks before, you will still struggle post patch.
I beaten him before the patch and it was hard but fun asf but now he doesn't look impressive he was thematically a powerful lord now he look like a retired one
tbf in video I think he looks sluggish both pre and post patch but doesn't feel that way when playing

I honestly am so disappointed with this nerf. Honestly imo at best cross slash was all they needed to change a bit but they neutered him so bad. Fighting him again hasn’t been as adrenaline pumping, frankly hasn’t been at all.
idk I still feel the same. All the changes were good except bloodline punish window was unnecessary

People bitching and complaining need to go outside and touch some grass. You already beat him. Why complain? You can still easily die to this boss. There’s just more openings and less blinding AOE lights.
Making him less aggressive, much slower and doing less damage is completely unjustifiable and i blame the constant barking cry babies for that.
He was unbeatable before this and anyone who did beat him did it by coincidence and it was not repeatable in a row. Design flaw.
@@wirechairYou can see this guy do a no hit on him pre-patch. That means the boss is just hard, not ubeatable.
A final boss should be hard, that's why it's put at the end of the game and not as a tutorial boss.
Any fight that causes such bad performance issues and nigh unavoidable attacks is objectively bad design.
They didn't nerf him. They fixed his jank.
@@wirechair he ain't "unbeatable" so enough with your obnoxious behaviour
how do i get the prenerfed depot i was occupied i couldt fight him
They keep nerfing my mans
I beat him pre-nerf with a shield and spear - poke, poke, poke 😂🤣
you call this “nerf” ?
Yes
Iono. All i gotta say is i thought maybe bale was a lil harder
The cross slash....maybe, but everything else seems unecessary. Especially with how less agro he is. He seems as fast as the base game bosses now.
En la segunda fase radanh tiene un buffo de velocidad, esto no me parece una comparación justa.
Only the visual nerf was necessary, lets be fair you can have mimic, 14 estus, if you killed all the boss, you should be around lvl 230 even in ng, with maxed schedule tree fragments and mimic tear ashes
Chad Radahn vs DEI Radahn
Give back prime radhan
Ruined this fight :(
this is just unbearable to watch man
@@panic_time Sans Undertale
