I would love that if Akainu and Fujitora knew each other when they were younger, their relationship would kinda mirror Doflamigo and Rosinante's relationship where they both witnessed the same atrocities but they had completely different outlooks and outcomes of the situation

Not gonna lie that scene where Fujitora said that he wanted to see luffy's face and that he wished he hadnt blinded himself had me in tears. Cause this man witnessed something so horrific that he blinded himself but luffy is the one who he wants to see

Fujitora noted during the fight with Law and Doffy that his control over his fruit isn`t well refined yet. Therefore he most likely received his powers quite recently

As a handicap man, who walks with one funcional leg, and chronic pain by torture (also PTSD) I also lose it when someone use the handicap parking, or that kind of thing. I have enough just fighting my pains

When Barry first showed up, nobody would expect he'd become this popular. Like at this point my brain retroactiveley rewrites my memories, so that he had been there since beginning of the channel.

Kinda like that thing where you think you remember something and you swear you're remembering it right but turns out that you weren't. Barry has been around so long it's hard to imagine a time he wasnt there. I even remember when he was an intern and he was being paid in candy
One of my favorite characters that's not the main cast.
I've noticed that fugitora has a religious theme like zoro and shanks, he might be shinto, because he senses the souls within things
I think he joined the marines to abolish the 7 warlords system, remember when he said "now that I have a high rank I can...."
I can see that. The World Government doesn't exactly have a good track record of who they named as warlords. For every Hancock, Jinbe, and Mihawk, they had a Crocodile, Doflamingo, and Blackbeard. If one of the past invites went to a pirate tied to the atrocities that haunted Fujitora, then he could see the warlord system as not worth the trouble it yields.
Barry has been an amazing addition to the Tekkingverse
Plot twist they grew up together and they experience the same trauma. Akainu went full dictator absolute justice. Fujitora blinded himself because of it

Tekking, I recommend you check out the Zatoichi series of films. The character of Fujitora is largely based off the character/actor. He is a blind swordsman who wanders from place to place seeking redemption for his past, always getting caught in the middle of some hostilities and generally have a bittersweet ending. Good old 60's Japanese samurai stuff.
Truth is, Fujitora was Hotori’s biggest fan! He noticed that Hotori was also blind (he wears those sunglasses for a reason) and blinded himself to be just like his hero! He began to notice the awful things people do only after this, so thank Hotori for Issho’s uncertain justice.

I could imagine that Fujitora had a high level of emotional intelligence from a very young age.
Which is why he observed his surroundings very closely and learned that the world can be cruel. He might even be a little overwhelmed with the processes in his head. I think he has a strong empathy and was burdened by the emotions of his fellow human beings. At the same time, he was trying to make the world a better place, but that is easier said than done.
A child who is given a lot of responsibility this early tends to become more anxious. Which is why he might even have been nervous and overly cautious.
Severe trauma could then be responsible for why he took his eyesight from himself. Presumably to calm the "noise" in his head. By blocking out his perception, he could concentrate better on his emotions and thoughts.
I like your take on this,especially when he got into an argument with Akainu.

Speaking of the " great power comes great responsibility" topic I I think there is show like that but it is mainly comedy focused so there no awesome fight scenes. It's just a super powered guy who just wants to left alone.

Tekking, the idea of a kid with powers exists. Its called Saiki Kusou No Psi Nan, and it's an EXCELLENT comedic anime, on the same level as Gintama

Great video! Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but I think selective service is technically optional. I think the only reason I had to do it when I was 18 was because I was applying for financial aid. If you aren’t I don’t think it’s necessary. Could be wrong.
While I got nothing against Kizaru I feel like it would have been cool if he too had left the rank of Admiral after the timeskip for some other position.
Because the original admirals were the three prime colors, Red, Blue and Yellow.
So with Fujitora and Ryokugyu being Purple and Green, it would have been cool if there had been another new Admiral who would be Orange, to represent the three secondary colors :D

My headcanon tells me a tragic story about Fujitora and why he blinded himself: It's mostly during his military service when he was put in a position to make the right judgment, a someone or something he didn't trust except this time, but the looks deceived him and the problems from this judgment were Really, Really bad. It was so tragic to Fujitora that he had to blind himself to never again judge a person by it's looks, hence: the Blind Justice which made him stronger and got highrr in ranks until he managed to become an admiral.
also why he gamples: because he can't judge people sometimes. when we were introduced to him at the gampling house, he was very concerned that he was losing, and he looks like he believed the bad guys. when Luffy stepped on and told Fujitora that he won, and found out that his opponent/s were cheating, He immediately took judgment on them.
Tekking feeling the pressure of the barometer
That scene where Fugitora was gambling was taken from first Zatoichi movie The Tale of Zatoichi.
They changed it a bit but the premise is the same, he's gambling, he gets cheated, he finds out, he kicks ass.
If you've never seen any of the Zatoichi movies I highly recommend them.
Start with The Tale of Zatoichi 1&2 you won't be disappointed.
My head cannon on the growing number of clone Barrys in Tekking's room is that each one is a reincarnation of the past Tekkings.
With Fujitora I can see him not really being a good person in his younger years and a lot of the bad things he witnessed he actually took part in but never really understood how bad he was making these peoples lives but one day had his eyes opened to what he was really doing and then blinded himself not just out of not wanting to see more horrible events but also a bit out of repentance.
I'd like to think that Fujitora might have volunteered during the draft, hoping to make some of the changes, to counter the sort of things that made him blind himself. It does feel like part of himself has become a fatalist with the "whatever happens, happens" which kind of fits with his gambling, even with his duty.
Am I the only one who is confident that Fujitora will show up in Wano with Tashigi and Smoker? 🤨

On the topic of what he says about the draft lotto back for nam.. yeah there was massive kick back because of that and it was televised. I think it may have been deemed illegal to do so again since happening but idk
I think one of the atrocities he witnessed was related to the shichibukai. That would explain why he was so aggressive towards Doflamingo and adamant about their dissolution. The warlords were pirates so maybe Fujitora wouldn't be against joining the Marine but would try to reforme it because marines are needed to prevent a lot of pirates to do heinous crimes. (sorry for my english)

I'm surprised you did a video about fujitoras past and didn't bring up anything about the Warlord system and why he wanted to abolish it so much.
Maybe the atrocities he saw were directly caused by one of the warlords and once he got drafted and became an admiral he took that is his chance to try and abolish the system which caused his grief (which as we know he succeeded in doing)

That’s how I’d imagine myself if I was in the One Piece world, watching the show I’d want to be like a revolutionary or a pirate like Shanks or Luffy but if I LIVED in that world I’d probably do that exact thing. I’m fine with being a baker even though I can chase off literally any pirate that wants to cause trouble here, I want a 9-5 for a bit just bc it’s comfy
Fujitora's main goal since his introduction seemed to be the abolishment of the shichibukai system. So I feel that probably played a prominent role in his past. A warlord wronged him/his town/someone important to him ect. and because they were sanctioned pirates nothing was done about it.

This is what I think the relationship is between Akainu and Fujitora I feel they were associates of some sort early in the navy but Akainu and Fujitora both had goals and ambitions to make the world better and to do it with the government which is when both realize that every Navy officer has a different understanding of Justice and they went there separate paths but Akainu changed what justice has stood for time and time again but fujitora has stayed on the same path of Justice since he joined the navy and he left the navy when he felt the justice of the navy wasn't true justice and took his sight as punishment for what he was doing for the navy but after however many years away Akainu brought him in because he knew fujitora could handle the job but he didn't expect fujitora to be the exact same person he always was and have the same justice and the same morals. And Fujitora's morals and the morals of the navy are not the same as the morals of total Justice which was what Akainu stood for now when he was a admiral well that's what Fujitora stands for now amongst the current admirals except his justice is for the total Justice of the citizens of the world government not the justice of the World Government itself which is what Akainu is obsessed with which is why Fujitora is allowed to yell at Akainu the way he does and it's why Akainu doesn't just get rid of fujitora like if it were Aokiji as the admiral at dressrosa and did what Fujitora did Akainu would have fired him on the spot or taken the title of Admiral from him but Akainu gave fujitora a chance by telling him "bring me law and straw hats head until then you can't enter any navy base in the world that's your punishment" so I think they definitely have a established relationship between Akainu and Fujitora.
I always thought that Fujitora was using his gravity to manipulate the casino games and so he knew they were lying. But he wasn’t gonna start anything unless someone called them out (aka Luffy).
As we saw in Wano that zoro could tell they were cheating with observation haki so fujitora could’ve been doing that as well
How would a blind person use gravity powers to make a roulette ball fall in the right slot.

You could have handed him the roulette wheel and the ball to place himself and he would still have a fifty-fifty shot and not be able to tell if he won
Also how would increasing or decreasing gravity make it less random, it would either be extremely difficult to finesse or very obvious when the ball weirdly floats and Sinks and the roulette wheel spins weirdly while angling for the correct slot, and thats if you could see.
Dice would make more sense if they wanted to do that.
You can find the side that you want you can make it drop in that orientation, if you were Savvy you could use sound cues to tell how much dice have rolled from their original position and and gravity powers to make it stop maybe he can even make half of it weight more than the other half, not too difficult, you could do it with your eyes closed.

I think that maybe issho saw a tradegy and completely hated it and wanted to kill every pirate but he was to weak because he did not have a devil fruit so he ran away in a attempt to not be involved but then he found the gravity fruit years later as a hermit so this time when he saw a atrocity he slautered all the people in rage but then he realizes he wasn't any better so he blinded himself so it would never happen again
