If Sengoku wanted to keep the true events a secret… why even reveal it in the first place? Literally NO ONE KNEW about them. No one was asking about them. He didn’t need to tell anyone. And conversely, if the World Government wanted to frame Rocks as a villain, why erase him from history?
So either Sengoku himself was fed a false version of the story, or he’s biased. But I do not think this was a lie the World Government concocted because… well, the World Government literally doesn’t want anyone talking about it ever in the first place. They have no reason to come up with propaganda because they’re not even supposed to mention it.

In Fishman Island, Shyarly prophesied that Luffy would destroy Fishman Island. We all thought that it would never happen but after listening to this amazing theory, maybe that might be what Luffy chooses to do. By destroying the Red Line, he would inevitably destroy Fishman Island therefore unflooding the world. My own thoughts:)

I can't imagine that shanks STOLE the nika fruit. Why would he be so respected from the world goverment and even imu lets him Talk to him/her after stealing/betraying them. I think Imu is on the good part in the history because they know more about the incoming catastrophy than everyone else. My theory for what the one piece: Long ago in the void century, there was person named joyboy, he had one wish in his mind to make every country join together in one place. But there was a problem, the red line was stopping everything from joining together. The whole mission for joyboy was to destroy the red line and make every country in one place thus one piece. Joyboy was born 800 years ago and the world government was formed 900 years ago, thus Marie jois was there in the red line, joyboy wanted to destroy the red line but the world government stopped him and the world government and joyboy declared war. Thus 20 kingdoms vs joyboy. The world government didn't tell what joyboy was about to do to the 20 kingdoms. So they just started a war and joyboy lost against 20 kingdoms after he died he had one wish he wants to get reincarnated after 800 years in the future. Thus luffy was born and his only mission is to destroy the red line and make every country in one place also know as one piece....
The poneglyph in fishman Island proves this I real. Joyboy wrote a apolgy letter to posiden that he failed to get every country in one place.

Great theory! I Like how Imu is possibly pulling a Snape for the shared love for Lilly, lol. I think it's really possible though. For instance, back in Skypiea Arc, there was mention of 4 Gods. Now, this seems to take inspiration from deities of Aztec culture. I remember reading about how their were 5 different Gods that took turns being the Sun God. And after the recent chapter with Bonney, I suspect she carries one of these other 4 fruits that can also become the Sun God if only for a short period. After all, Luffy also doesn't stay in Gear 5th all the time; so possibly the Nika fruit just allows the users higher state of power to the other variants. Not to mention the Nika fruit is probably the one that utilizes rubber possibly.
So, I suspect their are 2-3 other fruits that can also achieve a Sun God state. My guess Imu has one of them. Now, in order to have Dawn, you need to go through the darkest part of night, but also you have to begin with Dusk. Dusk as in Blackbeard. I think what a lot of people have yet to put together is that, the old theory where BB is going to have 3 fruits. Which fruit is he missing again? Zoan, you say? And whose fruit did we just learn about was a Mythical Zoan? That's right, Luffy!
I think its possible that at some point Blackbeard will either steal Imu's or Luffy's fruit and become a Dark Sun God. If it's Luffy's, then Imu will somehow sacrifice himself to give his fruit to Luffy or if it's Imu's, Imu will find a way to create an opening for Luffy to achieve victory later (very much like Snape had helped Harry).

Okay, i might sound stupid, but i have a completely different theory.
What i always thought was weird is that joyboy was supposed to be the first pirate, which would make sense if almost everything was connected by land and you literally just surround the continent with boat which might be pretty useless if there maybe were a bunch of seakings around, hebce there really wasn't a pirate before him
But, what does freedom mean? Did anyone ever specify that freedom means you can travel by land, or does freedom mean you can travel everywhere without any government knowing about you?
Freedom is such a broad statement, that i honestly believe Joyboy idea of freedom was to become a pirate and the only way to become one and travel to any location you want, is by water.
So maybe he got the ancient weapons of flooded the world so he can be free and everyone else can be free, because now the government can't supress you, because they are underwater. Or at least the idea i guess.
So basically
Joyboy floods the world to create freedom
The 13 countries coming together to fight him were the ones who were able to escape the great flood on top of the mountains and now tried to fight against Joyboy because he stole them their land and most valuables.
And maybe the Arche next to Fishman island wasn't for the Fishman, but was for Humans.
He wanted for Fishman and Humans to live together, but when you just bring fishman on land not much would happen and most fishman would be discriminated against.
What if, instead of putting the fishman above water, he wanted to put the humans under water and with the arche he wanted to ship the humans straight to fishman Island?
And even tho it doesn't sound like freedom we can imagine, it could still make sense, there are still sky islands (where a lot of porneglyphs are location) and several island that are extremely high up (like wano) and the only thing that is also up there would be the Red Line which you couldn't cross, but easily could if the water level was at the level of the red line. Making crossing it mich easier.
And so his sorry to the fishman still eould be a sorry that he wasn't able to UNITE humans and fishman, because maybe the trees responsible for the light were not high enough then.
And Imu might just follow his dream of bringing this kind of freedom to the world.

Rio Poneglyph is the undiscovered Sanskrit saying our ancestors come from outer space (each race bringing ancient weapons names based on home planet). In Sanskrit, gods like hanuman REINCARNATE. America is said to be land of Lucifer. White city of Hanuman is at Maya (skypia theme) of Honduras. Hanuman ate the Sun in the myths, and Mayans call their god of sun Ah Kin (flip and become Nikha) the LIGHTBRINGER, and offering RUBBER is symbol of strength.
Oda proposal : Alien ancestor gods REINCARNATE as important figure in different myths. Hanuman -> Ah Kin (Nikha) -> Luffy. Maybe the aqua laguna is related to the ancient weapons and the void century somehow and it growing in size is a sign of an impending war like the one that happened during the void century or something then maybe its related to how the sea rose by 1 meter 6 whole days after uranus was used so maybe the aqua laguna gets worse every year just like how the sea rose by a meter. I unfortunately feel this theory can’t fully be true because Nika was all about Liberation, and the Elders had slaves. I think Joyboy tried to get the fish men and mermaids closer to the sun, aka Nika, so that they could party. Imu, and the 20 kingdoms would continue to run to higher land to avoid drowning. This confused Joyboy who was likely a shandoran or lunarian and had wings, but also knew he could live in the clouds by the sun. He likely used Poseidon many times trying to get them closer to people, and the people would retreat until finding ancient weapons of nika, just like Joyboy . Using the mother flame, as well as fire from an awaken flame fruit user, the lunarians, they managed to fight back, but the ocean kept rising. Not seeing it as a fight, but the people helping, Joyboy kept going too causing a forever war that only one side knew they were fighting. I've only just thought of this now so it's likely someone else has already covered this, but I'm wondering if Imu wasn't the one who used the ancient weapons excessively to flood the world. We of course haven't seen most of the One Piece world, but it's interesting that we've only seen two holes in the ocean thus far, one of which being Enies Lobby and the other where Lulusia used to be. We know the sea has risen ridiculously high over time, and that these holes in the ocean wouldn't be simply filled up each time an ancient weapon is used, so why haven't we seen more holes across the world? What if Pluton/Poseidon also are able to raise the sea level, but in different ways that don't leave holes in the sea? It would be very interesting if Joyboy's faction were the ones to flood the world even more so than Imu and the World Government.
