Congratulations on the completion of the project! 👏👏 It looks beautiful. Congratulations, also, to Julie on her Elderflower champagne turning out well. 🍾
The vintage dress is perfect! Next, you need a small, striped canvas bathhouse for getting ready for your swim. Even if it’s just for visual effect, it would fit in perfectly. Thank you for sharing with us.
So happy to see you in the dress! It fits so well and I love the brown belt with it too! A fun celebration video on the restored pool and a toast with your homemade champagne. 😀
I missed it. Pool looks beautiful! Y'all are such great stewards & are bringing life back to what your family worked so hard for! Y'all were meant for one another that's for sure💞 Wish it was in the US though 😏
I hope you will consider having a new little Earl of Sandwich to inherit your beautiful estate and continue the amazing repairs and upkeep of your home.
Awww. Julie you look so cute in the red overalls suit. The dress was made for you. Your adorable no matter what you wear. The pool looks great. You both are so funny, I wish I was there with you both!❣️ that champagne sounds so good to me right now! Love you both!
Couple of things about Elderflower champagne. You need to collect the elderflowers in the morning because it needs a lot of the pollen to ferment. And check the smell of the elderflowers. If they smell sweet they are good, if they smell sour they are over. If it doesn't look like it's fermenting much after a couple of days and before you bottle it, you can add a bit of dried yeast. And very important. If you don't have proper champagne bottles/corks, you MUST use plastic drink bottles. And you MUST release the gas everyday. I made some, used too much yeast I think, but it fermented beautifully in the end. For quite some time though, even with releasing the gas everyday, the lids would blow off. Every now and then there would be a loud bang from the kitchen. It was clear (not cloudy), fizzy and tasted great when we drank it at Christmas (harvested late May, lock down year 2020 had a very early spring).
You are both hypnotic. After a rather dreary day here in Norway trying to organize and declutter it is refreshing to look back on the land I once loved. Culture reigns and good taste in your fine estate. Many thanks for upifting so many. God be with you All Always!
Hi Everybody, I saw this beautifull pool last month during our visit at Mapperton. It's fantastic- and a big compliment to all who were involved to recreate this pool. We also saw the plantpontons- what a great projekt too👏🍾
Dress looks great, but proper UNDERGARMENTS NEEDED! LOL. it’s virtually see through with the sunlight hitting you. The pool looks marvelous! Bravo to the efforts of all to complete this.
Absolutely fabulous result with the pond, well done to all concerned. On our recent trip to Mapperton on my fiancés birthday, 25/07 we caught a glimpse of your new bright red boiler suit when we were leaving in our equally bright red Mustang car, it suited you. We had admired the pond without realising all the hard work until watching all your videos. Thanks for yet another entertaining video.
The dress really looked lovely on you Julie! I can't believe Luke was actually swimming in the pool. It must be nice to finish a project when you have so many other projects going on. Cheers!
If anything that Elderflower drink is sparkling wine and no where near Champagne. Congratulations on the pool and that vintage dress looks amazing on you.
Great job, I'm glad the water is so much better. You two are such fun! But I'd also like to see an overview of the "pond" showing the floating boxes. I had a hard time seeing a dozen of them. Please add this to your busy list, thank you! 💜
Love the handmade dress. It’s lovely and very flattering on you. One suggestion for future wearing, you may want to find a nice vintage slip. It’s just a bit transparent. ❤️
Congratulations on the pool restoration Julie and Luke. We’ve been deflating all the lake floats and getting ready to take the boats out here in Michigan. Summer coming at a end, bring on Fall and pumpkins 🎃. I love carving pumpkins lol. 🇺🇸
You really should be proud of yourselves for completing that daunting restoration. It was the best teamwork I have seen you two do in all of the video clips. Cheers. Oh, and the dress is lovely. I would wear a half slip. Maybe that is just me. Luke's comments are so funny while in the pool.
Congratulations Julie and Luke on your pool transformation project. Firstly thank you for keeping your heads above water, physically,as you swam. Not trying to pour cold water over your warm water pool. The single cell ameoba may not have gotten to Dorset yet. You both observed good practice for such locations ,maybe a supply of nose clips too might be in order too. Julie has a smile that goes forever and is matched by her sense of style . Her Red Boiler Suit did indeed pop. I hope she bought one in blue too to match or compliment her eyes. Anyway her number of costume changes (10 I think) was amazing Looking good in all of it ,She gave us a little hommage to Princess Diana is her Nanny Days. The only thing infectious in the pool to day was the banter between Julie and Luke .They converse in the two part harmony of a loving couple where to high notes are the ones of laughter.. Heads up Guys ,Nose clips in. Stay safe .Winter is coming and that will kill any fears I have of single cell ameoba.
Congratulations on completing the pool to the point of being able to go for a swim! Haha Luke is cold 😜 It's normally Julie who is cold! 😜 Love the Red Work Jumper, It will look smashing with your wellies!! You two have so many projects on the go to keep us entertained for years to come, may they all be successful in restoration and revenue - Cheers!!
So thrilled to see the first phase of the pool restoration completed! Julie, can you give a little information on the grit that you use for the aquatic plants, I. E. The composition of the grit. Also since you made the elderflower champagne we all need the recipe. Looking forward to seeing all that y'all are doing in Italy! XOXO
I’ve never seen you in such a lovely dress as the one you are wearing advertising history hits. I don’t know whether to call that a dress or a gown but you look absolutely stunning. Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida
Can't see any bubble pumps in the pool, be interesting to see if the floating islands will do the job, I have built a more conventional natural pool using David's methods with plant zones and airpumps. Will you bring the water level up in time as it isn't the deepest swimming pool.
Pool is beautiful, well done, it looks wonderful. I also love the vintage dress (but it could do with a slip), it looks great on you. If your husband doesn't drink, may be better not to toast with champagne/drink containing alcohol.
I have to say you reminded me of the infamous picture of princess Diana with her see-through skirt but only for a second you're absolutely beautiful don't worry about it I just love the comparison ❣️💯👍 Edit: The dress is beautiful.
Julie I LOVE the dress! 1930's and '40s was some of the best fashion ever in my opinion. The natural light in this video is so gorgeous. We're definitely getting closer to an equinox - always beautiful light. And the pool looks great! Congratulations to you both!!❤
Yes, you can see through the dress in the light. We don’t know if she was wearing a slip or not, they are certainly not foolproof. I really could not care less, LOL. I just wanted to say the floral dress Julie’s wearing in the History Hit ad is stunning! It looks beautiful on her! ❤️
Yes, I thought the same, but I think she was wearing a bathing suit under, so I guess it was sort of a coverup. Anyway, with Julie’s body, she could wear anything or nothing and would look polished! 😉
Your pool project vlog and the successful result is the most amazing and constructive use of time/project I have ever seen on UA-cam - good on you all :)
The vintage 1930's dress is lovely and would look lovely with a vintage slip underneath. Great pool project.
Definitely! We can see through it, Julie
Yep. Women wore slips back then. 😉
Actually I had a similar dress in the 1970s and even with a heavy slip you could see right through in a strong light.
@@gardenroom65 Yes it is. i remember my Mom with those lovely slips in the 50 & 60s. Julie would love them
I think you should all mind your own business.
Haha I see you actually got Luke in the pool🥂
So wonderful to see Luke finally enjoying his pool!!
Same thing I thought.
Wonderful!!!
LOVE the red boiler suit, Julie!
Brilliant. I enjoy watch the bantering between Luke and Julie… loving you guys, keep up the great work…
Thank you so much!
LoL. I just wanted to see the pool and grounds, found these two annoying.
Congratulations on the completion of the project! 👏👏 It looks beautiful. Congratulations, also, to Julie on her Elderflower champagne turning out well. 🍾
A Celebration! Just like a Chicagoan, there's always a reason to Celebrate something!🙃🍀🍺
Congratulations! This historian has absolutely loved following your restoration of the 18th century pool! Cheers from the USA!🥂
You two are super funny and lovely people
Thank you so much!
I LOVE Raymond 💕 Julia I am envious of your energy! Loving the pool….. The vintage dress is stunning 💕
Thank you!!!!
I'm jealous too... I guess I thought it was because she was American. What's the secret? Is it vegetables and exercise? I bet it is ;)
The pool is gorgeous! I'm not sad it's finished, like Luke said there is always more to do.
So true!
Wow! How did U do it? U finally got him into the pool. 😁
Your swimming cap is adorable!
Having a "Diana in front of kindergarten " moment in that great dress! Maybe a half slip is in order
The pool looks wonderful! 🏊♀️🏊♂️
The vintage dress is perfect! Next, you need a small, striped canvas bathhouse for getting ready for your swim. Even if it’s just for visual effect, it would fit in perfectly. Thank you for sharing with us.
Red Boiler Suit... Magnificent!!!! Peach Dress... Perfect!!! Pool being complete... Suerpcalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!
The pool looks awesome! Can’t believe we got to see Luke in the pool! I think he liked it!!
He def did!
it's great to see you both swimming! 😊
So happy to see you in the dress! It fits so well and I love the brown belt with it too! A fun celebration video on the restored pool and a toast with your homemade champagne. 😀
Luke in the pool... 🤣 Brilliant.
I missed it. Pool looks beautiful! Y'all are such great stewards & are bringing life back to what your family worked so hard for! Y'all were meant for one another that's for sure💞 Wish it was in the US though 😏
The pool looks great Julie and Luke. Wonderful job done by everyone involved. 👏🏻💕
Thank you so much!
You look so pretty in the dress with your hair
Done, lovely.
Been with you from the beginning! It looks wonderful. So glad to see you both in the pool!
Thank you! We are so pleased with it!
Congratulations !!!! Love all of your ensembles, Julie !! Elderberry Champagne sounds delicious.
Thank you so much!
The pool is looking so beautiful. It must finally be fixed as your husband is now enjoying it.
What a fabulous job you did restoring the pool. You'll enjoy it for years to come. Congratulations!
Congratulations 🎊 on finishing the pool. It looks fabulous.
Tg.for the heatwave !! Probably helped with getting luke into the pool
I hope you will consider having a new little Earl of Sandwich to inherit your beautiful estate and continue the amazing repairs and upkeep of your home.
Love the boiler suit in red ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and yes, the buttons are awesome! 🏊♀️🏊🏻♂️ The pool looks wonderful!
Awww. Julie you look so cute in the red overalls suit. The dress was made for you. Your adorable no matter what you wear. The pool looks great. You both are so funny, I wish I was there with you both!❣️ that champagne sounds so good to me right now! Love you both!
The pool is beautiful and looks so inviting!
The vintage dress is exquisite, and you had a Princess Di moment in the sunshine! Clear pool and champagne = perfection 💕
That dress is stunning. The style is timeless. Love seeing Luke swimming.
Couple of things about Elderflower champagne.

It was clear (not cloudy), fizzy and tasted great when we drank it at Christmas (harvested late May, lock down year 2020 had a very early spring).
I think that the power-washing of the pool was a very good thing in the end - it was a catalyst of this huge improvement.
9:30 I don't know but I found this funny 🤣 the massive build-up was for nothing when there was just a... pop.
You are both hypnotic.
After a rather dreary day here in Norway trying to organize and declutter it is refreshing to look back on the land I once loved.
Culture reigns and good taste in your fine estate.
Many thanks for upifting so many.
God be with you All Always!
Love your red boiler suit - now I want one🤦♀️
Congrats on finishing part one of the pool restoration project! There will always be ongoing work.
It would probably help to throw a couple solar water fountains in there. It’s less likely to develop algae if the water is continuously moving.
Hi Everybody,
I saw this beautifull pool last month during our visit at Mapperton. It's fantastic- and a big compliment to all who were involved to recreate this pool. We also saw the plantpontons- what a great projekt too👏🍾
Love it. So happy for you both on the 18th century pool. Looks refreshing. Sell the Elderflower Champaign, sounds delicious.
Thank you so much!
Ok Raymond is a legend lol the zero pop was hilarious... Somewhere between elder flower, vinegar and champagne 😂😂😂
You dont need that slip. I personally think the Lady Diana Spencer look 😊rocks
The vintage dress is very beautiful, but don’t forget your slip. You look wonderful.
Dress looks great, but proper UNDERGARMENTS NEEDED! LOL. it’s virtually see through with the sunlight hitting you. The pool looks marvelous! Bravo to the efforts of all to complete this.
The 18th century pool project complete,! Wonderful folks. Now for part 2.
A lovely dress. A bit of a Lady Diana before she was the Princess of Wales moment as your photographer also captured the skirt backlit by the sun. 🤭
Absolutely fabulous result with the pond, well done to all concerned. On our recent trip to Mapperton on my fiancés birthday, 25/07 we caught a glimpse of your new bright red boiler suit when we were leaving in our equally bright red Mustang car, it suited you. I’m impressed with the lovely outcome of the pool. It blends into the natural countryside!
That is a shower cap! A “bathing cap” would be firmly attached to your head by fitting closely and keeping the water out.
Julie and John, job well done! Cant wait to see what you tackle next!
Thank you so much!
The long floral dress looks fantastic on you.
Love the boiler suit. I think it's a great idea.
That dress is fabulous, what a very kind gift.
I’m so happy you did a natural pool! They are the coolest! Better for ppl and better for nature! :)
Great job, I'm glad the water is so much better. You two are such fun!
But I'd also like to see an overview of the "pond" showing the floating boxes. I had a hard time seeing a dozen of them. Please add this to your busy list, thank you! 💜
Thank you so much! And will do!
It’s incredibly beautiful and how fun. Imagine the stories that pool can tell you, I love the history and the beauty.
Love the handmade dress. It’s lovely and very flattering on you. One suggestion for future wearing, you may want to find a nice vintage slip. It’s just a bit transparent. ❤️
I love the vintage dress. It looks beautiful on you. Congratulations on the pool. I just love watching you all.
The Boiler Suit is great for work and your vintage dress looks darling on you. ❤
Great job. Your so fortunate to have the ability to live there and hold the responsibility of keeping it restored. Hard work!
Congratulations on the pool restoration Julie and Luke. We’ve been deflating all the lake floats and getting ready to take the boats out here in Michigan. Summer coming at a end, bring on Fall and pumpkins 🎃. I love carving pumpkins lol. 🇺🇸
Thank you so much!
What a beautiful, stylish dress!!!
Thank you! 😊

Congratulations on the pool project. Thanks for including us., From St Louis Mo. Go Cards!
The pool is a thing of beauty. Cheers to its completion! 🥂

Was there no need for a bubbler to aerate the water? I thought David’s work usually included a bubbler of some sort.
This woman is amazing. He is very lucky.
XOXO
Hi! Thank you so much! Elderflower recipe is on Julie’s channel AMERICAN Viscountess. Look for the Royal Champagne one x
The green stuff that Luke pulled out is filamentous algae. I’m enjoying watching the development of the natural pool.
I love that style/period of dress. Elegant and beautiful. What is the depth of the pool? You two are delightful!
That's going to be a good summer memory!
The dress looked cute; but I would recommend a slip dress for under the dress to make the fabric color stand out more when in sunlight.
I’ve never seen you in such a lovely dress as the one you are wearing advertising history hits. I don’t know whether to call that a dress or a gown but you look absolutely stunning. Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida
Love that dress Julie ❣💐
Love the vintage dress with the green velvet shoes, gorgeous! 🥰🥰
Love the dress. Check out the button holes/button holing…always the mark of quality.

Will you bring the water level up in time as it isn't the deepest swimming pool.
there is a town where I grew up in Hawaii named after Captain Cook. It is said that he was the first European to discover Hawaii.
So Sweet! Cheers to this Reinvigorated Venture! And all the best as you enjoy the fruits of your labor!
I absolutely love the natural pond pool. A bit of a Lady Diana moment there in the sunshine the dress hahaha 🤣🤣
6:16 lovely room and dress. I also like the vintage dress at the beginning. Nice to see the pool fixed and Luke swimmimg in It!
Princess Diana moment with the sun behind you in that beautiful vintage dress!! You have fabulous legs😊
Pool is beautiful, well done, it looks wonderful. I also love the vintage dress (but it could do with a slip), it looks great on you. If your husband doesn't drink, may be better not to toast with champagne/drink containing alcohol.

Julie and RAYMOND,
SO FETCHINGLY PERFECT..Yall are awesome..enjoy the pool
Daily...

Yes, you will be constantly tending to your pond to ensure it doesn’t return to its previous state. Looks great!
Congratulations on finishing the pool!!!! It’s lovely seeing both of you swimming!!!
You were right! Your new red boiler suit does POP!!! It’s a beautiful color and looks great on camera.
Please show more of the pool in the future. Will you have any pool parties?
Yes, you can see through the dress in the light. We don’t know if she was wearing a slip or not, they are certainly not foolproof. I really could not care less, LOL. I just wanted to say the floral dress Julie’s wearing in the History Hit ad is stunning! It looks beautiful on her! ❤️

Pool looking grand. Really loved the boiler suit 👍🤓
