Thanks, again Andy. I have several Leopards in 1:35 , a couple completed but the rest stashed and as far as l'm concerned this new Border work of art is a definite must. I really apreciate what they do, and they improve. They don't sell to customers....they sell to modelers. This is a golden age for modelers. And Andy....what can l say, you da man!! Thanks again.
The "A7V" has nothing to do with the WWI tank, it simply means that it is an improved version of the Leopard 2 A7. The added V stands for "verbessert" which is German for "improved". Upgrades are: Hull mine protection 20 kw Auxiliary Power Unit Air-Conditioning Unit Solar reducing Barracuda matting Battlefield Management System Third-generation Attica thermal imaging unit for both Commander’s Independant Sight and Gunners Sight Spectus multi-spectral driver’s vision device Fire Control System modifications to program DM 11 High Explosive 120mm round Upper Glacis added modular Armor The A stands for ausfuehrung - version in english and the 7 is simply the 7th version since introduction in 1979.
@@thor8640 I know the v stands for improved but that was chosen because of the WWI Tank. Otherwise they would have named it A7A1, as they did in earlier versions of the Leopard.
@Slicer_ thor8640 is right. The a7v is the improved version of the a7. But obviously you seem to know better. There's a german phrase for you: "Keiner mag Klugscheißer."
@@honkvollpfosten I never claimed that he was wrong. The only thing I wrote is that the v not only stands for improved but also refers to the tank from the first world war as Andy states in the video.
Hi Andy, that looks as if it will build into a great replica, not certain about all those parts but that is part of modelling, will you be doing a build video on this? Best regards from Australia
Hello Andy. There are a lot of tanks in 1/16 but it would be interesting to also have M3a1 scout car, Dodge wc51, harley davidson motorcycle, for example. I hope for 2024
These new kits are beautiful, but with so much time and invesment neeeded to finish one, I think u have to really be into that particular vehicle or forget it!
my prediction is: not a lot of Leopard II models will be sold. Leopard II carcasses are scattered all around the Ukranian battlefields. their crew? hopefully escaped the death trap? maybe?
the Leopard II turned out to be a 'battlefield Queen' and did not actually live up to hubris 'expectations' in Ukraine battlefield. so i will make a diorama of a Leopard II on fire on the Ukranian (NATO proxy) battlefield. I will name the diorama "Western Hubris"
Russian forces have provided a lot of good reference imagery of Leo II tanks (what they look like after being knocked out). it will help a lot in my diorama research!
Great looking kit!!!! 👍👍

The developers have deliberately chosen this abbreviation, it is clearly a tribute to the German WWI tank.
@@Slicer_ negative, it is exactly how I wrote it. Not a tribute. Heard of Google? USE IT.

Great video. Very nice offering from Border. Just a remark on the naming of the vehicle, as the V stands for "verbessert" or improved
Great looking kit. You’ve been busy with new product reviews. Good for you, bad for my CC.
Very nice looking kit. A resin figure would have been nice. 🇨🇦
Cool Beans, 'Andy'!!!!
MayBE.......when I finished my 'Hobby Boss' Leo2 AVLB............I Might buy that A7V -- Leo2 style!!
The Germans still build some badass tanks........almost makes you wanna sing the "Panzerlied"
Border Is New On Market 🤔Never Seen This At My Local Shop But They Made Good Work 👌

Am i wrong or is the gun not movable?
Part 18 of politely asking for a 1:16 T32E1 model
Beautiful model, but way too many small parts!!!! Carpet monster food!!!! 😂
Pull up the carpet and try foam floor padding.
Why Is The EU Shop So Empty ? 😥And Why Has Chieftain More Versions Than Challenger 1 MK 3 lol 🙄
How about showing new releases from Trumpeter,Hobbyboss,I Love KIt,AFV Club etc..Modern armor please.
Hey, 'Josephherman'... been working on a Leopard 2 AVLB 'Leguan' kit on my channel...slowly finishing it off, take a look!
i am googling: 'Leopard II on fire in Ukraine' for my next diorama! WANT TO GET IT RIGHT! 👍👍
Boring. 🤡

we can't be too sure at this time. but most likely maybe? perhaps? but the two is for sure (at least)@@mephisto7549

Does it include smoke, flames and Ukrainian marking to show it burning on the steeps?
