Yes, Claire can definitely hold her own. That scene had me on the edge of my seat, watching Claire fill and reload the guns for Jamie, like they have trained for this!!! But I was yelling at Jamie for not designing shutters that could be closed from the inside!!
She killed a buffalo that had it's sights on her daughter and grandson, I'm sure Jamie and even the army taught her a thing or three about guns. Claire is unlike any woman of that time why would anyone think she cannot also defend herself if need be?
Claire has killed so many people at this point both in self defense and for the sake of others that it doesn’t really faze her anymore and she can keep her cool, especially in a war-like encounter like this.
Another I can not understand why not defending themselves by opening up verbally saying they didn’t do it over and over again instead of being silenced.
What? Protest too much? Words are pointless. No one will believe a thing they could say on account of the prejudices the community hold against them and the optics of the situation. The Browns are looking for retribution, the Protestant fisher folk believe that the Catholic (read demonic) Frasers are guilty. Evidence? Who needs evidence? All you need is belief and self-righteous indignation: Jamie fucked Malva, Claire is jealous and the witch not only killed her but ripped the bastard out of her belly. Case closed. Hang the witch, burn the witch. Law and order (such as it was in the colonies at that time) is breaking down and near-anarchy prevails. Fortunately book readers know "this too shall pass" but not before more mayhem and calamity befall the Frasers. That's how Diana writes it and--guess what--the formula works.
I think Tom Christy killed Melba and he made agreement with the Brown to get Jamie out of the picture away from Claire he want everything Jamie has including Claire.
I think his son impregnated her and then killed her. He’s a gutless liar so blaming someone else is his MO. Riveting episode and when do they come back?
@@nancy9891 I agree Nancy 2000 percent with you it was Allan he is too creepy for words, the way that he gets so explosive when Malva was speaking to Jamie and also the way he said to his dad about Malva being that word I do not like. That creepy man the huge mess he made and he acts so calm

Epic ❤Claire moment reminded me of Scarlet O’Hara on the staircase with a loaded gun in Gone with the wind!

This is seriously the best season yet.
Too short
