If you are still curious about what happens and why it happens and don’t mind a book spoiler, please read on. Of course, the show runners could divert from the book plot in the filmed version as they have been known to do before, so we novel readers may have an unexpected surprise as well. In the books, Lord John marries Claire just for her protection when it is thought that Jamie was lost and dead in a shipwreck after a journey to visit sister Jenny in a Scotland when Ian her husband was on his deathbed from consumption. On a drunken night after the protective marriage that was supposed to be in name only, they consummate the relationship, after which Claire feels regret and LordJohn feels awkward, then Jamie shows up alive and rather pissed off over her perceived lack of fidelity. He had missed the boat that sank but got on to another vessel that took a circuitous route back to America with no opportunity to send word to Claire and the family about his lengthy delay returning to North Carolina. Things will get sorted out. Since Jamie returns alive, the protective marriage to Lord John becomes legally null and void, since the original husband has been discovered to be alive after all. This is “the shoe on the other foot” situation that mirrors Jamie’s “best he could hope to get” marriage of convenience to Laoghaire (to become a father to raise her sweet children, denied to him so far at the time) when he thought Claire had died or was permanently lost to him after sending her back through the stones just before Culloden. As you might recall, that marriage became legally null and void when Claire, after learning that Jamie had not died at Culloden, returned to the past to be with him again. Repairing the relationship this time will have some ruffled feathers and the expected fireworks following like last time, but then the forgiving and making up will be so passionate and worth waiting for. ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Yeah, usually I don't care about spoilers, though in a video thats title insinuates just a "recap" of the final episode, that's all it should have been. If the book were going to be discussed, just give it a different title. If not, just give a spoiler warning, either in the title or just before they discuss the book in the video itself.
Just finished the original books and was very impressed until I got to the end of '" go tell the bees that I am gone " the ending was hugely disappointing,,,, what were you thinking ??? You left everything hanging !!!

I think despite the fact that everything hast to mean something else,which is noted,the ending of this book could be the ending of this love for the series.We have all become so baptized in the word “soon” that I am getting a little disinterested in the whole thing. I truly did not need to know how every garment was made.They truly did not have to leave every season on a cliffhanger. It would have been nice for us to see them happy for a while.Nope! They travel from one one horrific event after another.I really did not did not appreciate the graphic scenes in prison and almost quit watching it there. This ending ,as someone else said, could end like Poldark. who cared to see him sail off to some new adventure, while she busted her butt at home.
I did not mean to actually end it there.I don’t know about you but I was never left with a feeling of contentment or happiness in this series. periods where we’re allowed to be happy with each other.And I really didn’t think it was necessary to have everybody get raped at one time or another. as I said this ending could be a real series killer. Also, I’m not sure I would watch any spin-off.
Another thing, all of them talk about not letting men take the the lead, that they have empowerment. How can that be when they’ve all been raped by men and brutalized.
I actually kind of started to like Roger this season, there isn’t much else I do like though, pretty boring season
