Imagine how many time Jamie must have dreamed about seeing his children together? I love seeing Brianna just playing along like that’s not her little brother she’s talking to.
So happy to finally see Brianna meet her brother. I hope we’ll get to see the scene where Willie finally realizes Jamie is his father.
That is going to be an epic one that truly tests Charles Vandervarrts acting skills! It was not an easy meet or the feelings that became physically evident at the time in the literary sense anyways.
In this book William never found out Jamie was his father. I don’t think he ever will.

Besides Jamie and Claire, I think Lord John Grey is the best character in Outlander! Time and time again he showed his love and loyalty to Jamie. He's generous, kind, caring, and a true gentleman. Even raised Jamie's son as his own. I wish they'd give him a happy ending he deserves!! Anyway, I think they casted the perfect William and I'm so excited to watch how the show and DG will tie all the loose ends in the story.
I know it's a huge deal to see the two siblings finally meet one another but I love how Lord John says "My dear" when speaking to Brianna.

I think it’s cute how Sophie Skelton has to act with an American accent while being English, and Charles has to act with an English accent while being Canadian
I always notice that she says the word “anything” with her English accent. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that ?

Growing up with English parents I would think it is only natural that Brianna (the character, not actress) would have some English accent words here and there.

For those saying that William is Brianna’s only sibling and that they are Jamie’s only (living) children, I want to remind you that Fergus is Brianna and William’s actual brother too, through adoption, but their brother nonetheless. Jamie and Claire have always considered Fergus their son and they formally adopted him, so he is as much Brianna’s big brother as her half-brother young William. This doesn’t take away from this special moment of his youngest child meeting one of his siblings, and Jamie witnessing it, but I wanted to remind everyone they have another sibling too.
I’m really confused here…. How much time passed cuz William was still a kid the last time we saw him and that was last season… and it looks like here he’s in his 20s here what??
@@eden20111 He’s 18 here. Jemmy is around 7 here and when William visited Fraser’s Ridge right before Brianna came and got pregnant with Jemmy, he was 10.

@@eden20111 This was season 7 and she came and had Jemmy in season 4. All of the kids aged. Germaine was born in early season 4 and here he already has 3 younger siblings.
@@Curlyteacher537 I’m referring to the adults. I didn’t know the years progressed that much because all the adults look exactly the same lol and William looks in his 20s so I got confused. Thanks for clearing that up.

Claire che nella 1 stagione dice a jamie di non poter aver figli era così emozionante vera e triste e dolce, che dopo 7 stagioni ancora ricordiamo la scena nella camera da letto. Brianna scopre che la bambina è malata e ....zero emozioni. La prossima settimana già l' avremo dimenticata.
I loved watching Charles grow up on Murdoch Mysteries. He's the perfect choice for William! Casting on Outlander is stellar.

@@mattieblackeyes957 particularly when Claire cries uncontrollably in Jamie’s arms as he assures her that he is still there even though so much of their family is gone from them. Probably one of the greatest “ Jamie / Claire” scenes of the entire series. I know I lost it!!!

I haven't seen season 7 yet, but good casting on Adult William. Strong resemblance to Sam Heughan, and he was able copy his mannerisms pretty well.

So many emotions, here, with Brianna and Lord John! And then, Jamie, and Lord John. They each played it so beautifully.
I know Roger/Bree went back, but (SPOILER ALERT) knowing that come back, I hope that these two get to share the screen again, this time being able to truly get to know each other as brother and sister. I know Fergus/Young Ian have been like brothers to her, but would love for her to be able to have a relationship with her true brother and for Jamie to watch his kids bond as such, not just as strangers while Willie has NO CLUE who his real father is. I know there's only a season and a half left, I hope they get to something like this and I hope that they get to all the other major plot points. Hopefully Starz will give the writers enough episode to not only hit, but dealve into all the key moments .

Well, I guess she reminds him of his own image in the mirror, if both of them look a lot like Jamie. Sometimes it's not so easy to pinpoint. I remember one day when I discovered how much my brother looked like me, I hadn't realized before, but there was a picture where I could see the resemblance a lot better than I had perceived before.

This episode what a heart breaker, especially Jamie , Brianna, Claire and Lord John scenes. The scene with William was short so I’m looking forward to much more from his character. The hour episode flew by, must savor them more.
I was an extra in this scene.... when he says "daughter" I'm the redcoat on the left.
Probably my second favorite episode ever, first of course being The Wedding. Love love love everything about this one. ❤️😢
I’m so excited I could cry. But the idea of crying is so bittersweet to me. Willie is all grown up. And he looks just like Jamie. Oooooh here I go. 😭 I wish they could’ve been a proper family. If only William knew.

No, I didn't forget. It was rather an important scene when Jamie told her about William.
When William says that sometimes the only way to settle things is with iron and blood, I love the side glance Brianna gives Lord John like she’s thinking, “Well, that’s a chip off the old block!” Although…Jamie has definitely become more diplomatic with age.

There's trouble coming and people don't always think of the revolution as a civil war, which it was and in civil wars father can meet son. P1us, Jamie was the boy's constant companion, so he would have been so much more than a groom and Jamie said as much when Willie got into trouble with the Cherokee.

William as a child looked NOTHING like Jamie. I felt it was a kind of theatrical gaslighting to keep telling the audience that the child was such a splitting image of his father that Jamie had to leave his service. Yet the child actor chosen looked absolutely NOTHING like Jamie. Everything about his face was different. Jamie has very refined features, whereas the child had a broad nose and seemed incapable of having a smile. This was a very peculiar choice of child actor unless there just aren't many child actors in the UK.

Sempre lo stesso sguardo con l occhio a pesce. Mi è piacito l episodio. Molto dinamico e scorrevole. Si avanza nella trama e nel tempo in attesa della rivoluzione. Se avessero diviso meglio, anche il 1 episodio sarebbe stato eccellente.
Il rentre très naturellement dans le rôle … Bon c’est pas si on ne l’avait jamais vu… il y à eu tellement de publicité que cela n’est presque plus une surprise.

When Jamie was a prisoner at Helwater (season 3) the oldest daughter of the Lord of Helwater was about to be married to a man as old as her father while she was about 17. She blackmailed Jamie into taking her virginity and ended up pregnant before she married. She got married, had the boy and died shortly after giving birth. Her husband claimed the boy wasn't his and threatened to end William for he was a bastard.

By his body language, I would say that it was William who did it. John keeping his head down trying not to laugh as well is great in that moment and the seconds following.
