    Hello Ring,
    I noticed that you have a Ring Protect Pro plan for $20 that includes Eero Secure. I was wondering if it would be possible if you guys could come up with a protection plan like Ring Protect Super for $25 or greater that comes with Eero Secure+.

    If I’m subscribed to ring protect but self monitored, will the eero Wifi still work?

    • @ring
      @ring  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Alex. A Ring Protect Plan subscription is an optional service with the Ring Alarm Pro, so even while self monitored, it will work as intended. Please let us know if you have other questions.

    I just set mine up, followed every direction exactly… and for the life of me cannot figure out why the Wifi LED on the back is a solid orange. I’ve looked up the help Ring provides, but it only talks about no LED, blinking red LED, and solid green LED.
    My real Wifi isn’t working properly… I think it’s only picking up the “backup internet” because my speeds are down from 640mb/640mb to nearly 6mb/6mb. But I have the station plugged into my router via Ethernet.
    So I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
    Is it possibly my internet provider doesn’t want people to use something like this?

      Hey Sumeer. The Ring Alarm Pro is made to be the main router of your Ring devices. If you do not wish to use the Ring Alarm Pro as your main router. You're able to leave your devices connected to your original wifi, but the back up internet would not function properly should there be a problem with your wifi. Thanks for your response. Yes, you can switch back to your normal router if you'd wish to not use the Ring Alarm Pro Base Station as your router. However, you won't be able to make use of the back up internet.

      Hi Paul. If your internet connection is out, or you need to use Ring Alarm Pro in a location without an internet connection (via a modem and ethernet), you’ll need to use Ring’s cellular data option to stay online. The Ring Protect Pro subscription offers 24/7 Backup Internet when you need it. This means that if the internet goes out, or if you don’t have internet service, you can use cellular data to connect all devices on your wifi network to the internet. Additionally, when the power goes out, the Alarm Pro has an internal backup battery inside the Base Station that can provide backup power. Please let us know if you have any questions.
