If you have spectrum you'll need to plug into the router and it will work like normal. When your connection or power gets disconnected your back up cellular Connection and battery power will power the security system as it is built. I've had mine for a couple months and I love it!

We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

I just kicked our security company to the curb because of their tactics when providing customer service. I want to get the facts on cost, not a veiled attempt to "do me a favor" by giving me something at no charge, then obligating me to a 60 month time pay for that no charge item or service. I was done! Now I am shopping for a no contract replacement because I do want security protection since I am home alone so much of the time. I am usually the DIY person in the household so I want something that you don't have to be a tech guru to set up. This looks very promising. Thank you for your well made video and the time you took to explain things step by step. If I choose this system I will definitely refer back to you as my resource.

I watch video 4-5 times and was able to do it myself. This video is slightly over two years old, so actual procedure is slightly different, but 97% of procedure is the same, video has been a great help to me, many thanks.

I see you have Spectrum. I have the same modem and wifi (my condolences). Modem only has one ethernet output. So did you connect the eero to a Spectrum wifi ethernet port or disconnect spectrum wifi and add the eero to the cable modem?

I currently have a AT&T Digital Life system that is paid off and AT&T is getting out of the business. The wireless sensors on the AT&T are ZWave. Do you think this system may be able to read those sensors? My front door lock is also ZWave and integrated with the AT&T. Thanks for the GREAT video!
