There are multiple African American families here and literally 3 Indian reservations connecting to the town. Verde village is a large part of town that is unincorporated, so the census doesn’t show the accurate numbers. Also, 89a from cottonwood runs into a mountain, not to Prescott. You have to go through Jerome and over Mingus to get to Prescott or back down I-17 quite a ways. Very few rentals and yes it snows some. It’s nearly 4000’ altitude .
You are absolutely right... There's no crime, there's no earthquakes, there's no unbearable hot days like Phoenix, There's no homeless encampments, there's no smog, there's no gridlock traffic. not much snow to speak of. so yeah nothing here to see so stay away.
I lived here for 2 years. I just left 4 mts ago. There are huge numbers of homeless. Grocery stores run out of chicken and many other times they are out of. Customer service skills are nonexistent. People are rude. The person that said doesn’t get hot must not live there. There were many days over 100 degrees. The cops there couldn’t find zipper with both hands, keystone cops. We hated this town and couldn’t wait to get out
where ever they got the information is wrong about the blacks. i have lived here for over forty years and would say the black population is about 5- 6%. that is lower than average but it is definitely not zero.
what a nice little town
It’s Beautiful there!
Sir, we do in fact have African Americans in this town. Where you getting your info?
Unless they moved there after the census recording. I got the info through the 2023 US census bureau.
