Leatherman Surge Multi-tool 21 Functions: Review

- Hi! This is my Review of the Surge from Leatherman, one of their largest multi-tools available. Very robust, sturdy tool having been updated to include a replaceable 154CM wire cutter blades which I acquired as part of the warranty service (it was free, except for return postage), it actually looked like a brand new Surge.
Nylon pouch, Bit cards (2), Bit extension, Ferrocerium Rod were not set when I bought this Surge. I'm just showing one option how it can be packed.

I got this as a present from my best friend who died. And a cupple days ago one of my other "friends" stole it from me.
As another person also asked - your Surge Sheath/Pouch - What Brand, name, size, or type? I ask as many are not able to carry the bit kit w/ the surge and if they do then they are not in separate pockets and this makes it a pain to use the surge on a regular basis.
Great review! Whats the name of the Ferrocerium Rod you add into the pouch ? looks really neat.
Brand name of my ferrocerium rod is Advanced. I purchased from REI, I don't know how many years ago. But seems like available with other brand names at Amazon. The brand names like Wearlers & Smarttechnology. On some brands, ferrocerium rod is replaceable. Thanks for your comment!

Too many to name, not mention what size (length, diameter) with or without handle and not to mention information overload involved. it gets down to what you're willing to spend and fulfil your requirements.

Hi! I would like to know which is best for cutting wire as the ones used for locking trucks doors (security seals), as I would like to have only one tool with me. Thank you!
Either should work, security seals vary i.e. copper wire/lead seal, plastic zip-tie type, metal band type. the cutters should able to deal with them unless you're using some sort super heavy-duty that uses cable, not wire or plastic.
