- I forgot to say in the video, I always style on damp hair with OBs. I get fair better control than with dry hair. If I use OBs on dry hair the waves come out too much and it's a mess! Let me know if you liked the video and I'll make some more! Cheers.
Excellent demonstration of the afro pick, and thanks for the shoutout at the end!
Cheers Danny! I love your videos.
I've been waiting for a longer hair version of the Pompadour! Thank you!!
Another suggestion that I might add which helps in addition to wet hair, is movie allowing the pomade to sit in your hair for 5-15 minutes and then combing it. It certainly depends on the pomade you're using, but I'm certain that this is the case with suavecito. I would suggest that once you put the pomade in your hair, you comb through it a few times to even it out, and then allow it to sit.
Very well done JMF! Like to see more reviews and tutorials! Stay safe and healthy!

Def using this for the 50’s themed photoshoot me and my fiancé are doing next month!
Absolutely fantastic hair👍 I’ve got thick wavy hair and I never thought it possible to get a nice pomp. I guess I need to let it grow a LOT longer.
Thank you sir for this video! 👍👍greetings from 🇺🇸
The best pomp I've seen
Thank you! ❤️🖤
Wooo hoo finally a video that got my hair to pomp. Got my first pompadour hair cut not that long ago and despite all the teasing and laying of products in my hair, I couldn't seem to get it to stand up and stay. Seems the more complicated ways of styling just weren't right for my thick wavy hair. THANK YOU so much.
I'm glad to hear that this technique is working for you Fae! It took me a while to work it out. When I started using the afro pick is when it all started falling into place... Literally!
@@wildharegrooming3728 Well it looks wonderful on you so glad you did for you and lol now for me too. Thanks again.
Great video man now I need to try this hopefully it’s help me out 😎👍
Awesome video man I have the same comb as you but I don't have the pick comb I got to get that. That pic comb definitely helped. Good video man your hair looks just like Elvis lol that's cool
Ahhh this is what I needed
Great style. Nice and simple explanation. Keep it up!
Thank you! I will!
Amazing bro you deserve million subs and by the end of 2022 it will be near to 1 million I gurantee it
Thank you for the kind words mate!
Omg I love your hair! ♥️
Cheers mate!
Nice pomp! Would be great to see more reviews!
Cheers mate! I'll do another one soon
Love the video mate 🤙🏽
Thanks very much mate. And thank you for subscribing!
Awesome video, I’ve never tried to comb it diagonal like that after the part. I’m gonna play with combing it that way and see if it helps. I can’t seem to get to bring mine forward. I can get mine very tall though. More videos!
That's the way to do it. Just play around and see what works for you. I need that length to be able to bring it forward. If it's too short it falls apart.
This is great brotha. Cool hairstyle
Cheers mate! Appreciate the kind words 👍
Great video! Tried your technique today with a Lockhart´s Fire & Brimstone Medium (OB). Worked really well, thanks for this tutorial. Hope for more to come :)
Cheers Torsten! I'm glad it worked for you.
Nice! Same thick and wavy hair.👍 I need to get the same haircut, I’ve only had 2 this year.😩
I know mate! It's been a bad year for the barbers. I was cutting it myself during lockdown and went really short back and sides. I prefer it like this now.
Great channel, I'm also learning about Pomade ,continue to develop your channel
Thank you very much!
Awesome video mate much clearer than other videos. When you to use less if you have build up, does that mean you put more pomade on daily until you wash it? How often do you wash it?
Rad. Thank you sir
Thank you this is so helpful
I'm happy to hear that!
Nice work! My hairs long enough to achieve a bit of height at the moment, but this is class!
Cheers mate! Glad you enjoyed the video.
My boyfriend's hair lends itself perfectly to this style. It'll almost do that after a few hours of wearing a hard hat and it looks so good - especially with the grey bits, but on his day off, he looks like he peed on an electric fence. 😁 Anyways, if I can talk him into it, I'm gonna try this.
Awesome
Heyy, I remember you from the facebook group!
Dope pompadour 👍

Well done my man, you almost look like Johnny cash from the late 1950’s

@@Glaswegian thank you for the kind words and subscription. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one!
Nice pomp.
I absolutely love this tutorial. I do have a question though... Did you blow dry your hair backwards prior to applying the pomade? Or did you just towel dry? I, too have thick wavy hair and have been blow drying it backwards. However, I’m noticing that the longer it gets, the more difficult it is becoming to style it. I’m not sure if the blow drying has to do with that.
Glad you enjoyed the video mate! No blow dryer required here. I always apply to towel dryed hair. I find if I apply OB to dry hair I get no control as all my waves come out. Check out some of my other videos to see how I apply the pomade and subscribe to stay up to date with new videos 👍👍
@@wildharegrooming3728 - Excellent. I will certainly do that! You’ve been a huge help. Thank you so very much. What’s the best pomade you’ve ever used?
@@Kiley_88 it's impossible to pick just one because they all have different qualities and strengths. My top 4 UWB would be Black Ship, Grim Grease Medium, Ivors Brew Firm and SR Crystal Lake. OB is really tough to choose. I love OlliMade and Hillbilly Grease which are German ones. I love The Classics, Pomps Not Dead, Lockhart's, Reuzel Pink and Green... The list goes on! 😂🤣
You have been a huge help. Thank you so much!! You’re amazing, ‘sir.
yo whats up Elvis Presley
Damn you are gorgeous!
When do you apply he pomade? Did you apply in it in dry hair or damp/towel dry hair?
Always damp/towel dried hair 👍👍
Did he apply the pomade to kind of wet hair?
how thick and long you can keep your hair will determine a lot of how hot your pomps turn out..it would be interesting and informative to hear some of our experience shampooing and conditioning...how often do you shampoo, shampoo brands....some of your brands are not available outside the uk could you make a note of it..your videos are the best quality of all i watch...looking forward to more pomps.....thanks and keep your enviable hair growning...
Thank you again for the positive feedback! It's much appreciated. My hair is even longer than it was in this video now. It's down to my chin. This is mainly due to lockdown and barbers closed but I'm really enjoying the length. It needs a trim at the back but even when barbers are back open I'm going to keep the length on the front. It gives great structure. Funny you should mention about doing a shampoo/maintenance/degreasing video because I'm going to do one today! Keep your eyes peeled 👀
when you have that much thick hair how much do your haircuts cost?
Question, can you have this haircut but you have a large forehead. I have the right hair length and everything but the big forehead is very noticeable. Give me your thoughts.
