I wish I had that guys hair...but I love all these old school styles..the 50’s was one of the best eras, the haircuts back in the day were so much better then what we have now
Is it the cuts or the barbers? The same styles still exist, just no good barbers to cut them. Back in the day, everyone wore these styles so any good barber knew how to achieve the look. Too much “Super Cuts” and crap places like that these days.
I never got the fuss around fades and short or bald hair in general horrible modern styles they make men look like they have stripped of there individuality
I think the main problem with modern cuts is that the sides are often too short. If you look at vintage pictures of hairstyles popular today (pomps, side parts etc) you can clearly see that the sides are way longer, sometimes as long as the hair on top.
Also I might be wrong but a lot of men nowadays seem to bald super young. Maybe in the 50's they didn't bald so young thus had more time to try cool hairstyles?
Man I've been cutting hair for 20 years and I've always looked at heads as a walking canvas absolutely love it but just these videos I watch of yours have made me a freaking Rockstar in the barbershop thank you so much never stop learning as a barber
I have been a barber for 12 years and never get bored of trying to learn new techniques, this guy is a very good barber, he can adapt to cut many different styles and isn’t just all about fades, I love watching him work and have learnt a lot 👍
Nice job, Robert. These videos will legitimate the names of the haircuts. Here in Brazil, some dudes misundestand the pompadour with a common quiff of an another haircut, for an example. Great job with the size of the last videos too, because are too many people that cheats newbie barbers, selling courses and techniques to them without any level of true knowledge of barbering or teaching. The "free" lessons from your videos will elevate the level of barbers around the world, leaving less space for these scammers. That is a great contribuition for the world barber comunnity.
@@REUZEL Thats really true! Well... One year after you had up that video and the words of Marco Lopes still are truth. I watched your video just by the side of my father in law, he is from 40s decade, and he said all the time "that's the way we used to cut hair in my time... just seeing him, I do can tell: he knows how to cut! He rocks!" and he was not just talking about the hairstyle but talking about you Robert your technique, and I recognize this. This is one of the best hair cutting tutorials-----such precision and you really understand working with head curvature and the talent you have in those fingers setting your guide and using tension to meet that side guide mark. I love this tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I really appreciate this kind of videos, thank you Schorem!!! Forever you will be the greatest inspirations for me as a barber. I send you my gratitude from Mexico 🇲🇽
I never thought I would watch the full 30 minutes but this is just so inspiring! What a work of art! This is a free online masterclass. Also really cool how you emphasised the importance of using a traditional oil based product. It's really essential to the look and the old school experience. Investing and learning how to use those products, and thereby dismissing the convenience of a washable product can be a struggle but it also builds character and is really satisfying.
@@dansantos5010 Hey Dan. Thanks for asking. I have nothing planned yet. I did have some ideas but I haven't been able to complete them. As far as styling goes everything is already on there.

Your thoughts on the Pomade usage was very helpful as well.
