Just the diaphragmatic breathing feels like it's working wonders for my core!

That's really good to hear :) It's amazing how something as simple as breathing can do so much.

I'm 4 weeks postpartum and just found your videos, would you recommend I start at week 1 and continue week by week or if I feel good can I do up to week 4 as I please then continue at where I'm comfortable? Thanks!

I'd say base it on how you feel. There are some good breathing and awareness exercises in the first couple of weeks, but if you're managing well, feel free to progress as able :)

Thank you for your amazing content :D are the core and pelvic floor routines instead of standard kegels or to be done as well as standard kegels?

Hello, how often do you recommend doing these in week 2 (I’m week three but had stitches)

    • @bellystrong
      @bellystrong  6 місяців тому

I originally designed these to be done maybe 3 times a week, daily if you're feeling good with no adverse reactions. If you've had stitches, I might recommend starting low, and also keeping any pelvic floor contractions very light at this stage.

Thank you again for these! How often do you recommend I do these exercises? Thank you again! I had to cut out walking outside because my bleeding increased 😭 so these videos are helping me with my sanity
I hope you and your little one are doing well and staying dry during the rainy season in Japan!

Sorry to hear that the walking is a bit much at the moment! You could try do 1 video a day and alternate between core/mobility, or try for every other day. It also depends on how your body responds so just keep monitoring symptoms.
As I type this it's pouring with rain outside 😅 Besides going out for her vaccinations, we've pretty much been stuck indoors! How are you and your little one doing?

@@bellystrong ahh I didn’t get a notification for this! I came back to check the video and saw your reply.
Oh my goodness, I hear the rainy season in Japan is quite hot and humid too! What are you doing to pass the time staying inside? I hope you’ve found something fun to do for yourself!
My little girl turned 1 month old this past week. She recently decreased the duration and frequency of feedings so I’m a little worried, I’m buying a scale on Amazon today to start weighing her - mostly for my own peace of mind. We went on our first outing to a family members house this last week, although it was a lot of work it felt so good to get out of our apartment!
Your little one is a few months old now, right? How have you been adjusting to life with a newborn? Are you a part of any newborn mom/parent groups? I just joined some recently which have helped with that isolated feeling that I think is pretty common at this point.

Yeah it is definitely getting warmer now. Honestly most of my time is spent indoors trying to get her down for naps 😅 After the newborn sleepy stage ended, it became really difficult to get her to sleep, but we've made some progress recently. I've also been able to put her down to play for longer amounts of time which means I can clean or work out!
I'm a part of a few mom/parent groups online, but nothing locally. It helps, but it would be nice to have moms I could hang out with in person.
I hear your about the feeding. My LO went through a period of eating for just 5min at a time and I was also worried. I started feeding her to sleep more just to get more calories in. She's not a big baby, but she's always been on track weight-wise and doesn't seem upset from being hungry so I guess it's okay?
Let me know if I can find you on Instagram and maybe we can continue the convo 😊
