Been doing this for a few weeks and my gap is almost closed. Woop. Thank you so much. I have seen many tutorials about this but this is the most helpful video so far
I had a C Section 8 months ago- I've been doing this daily for 2 months now and have noticed SUCH a difference!!! I also had major abdominal surgery so I really started with 0 muscle. I now just add this to the rest of my workouts as a warm up. I remember reading these comments and really thinking it wouldn't help or I wouldn't stay committed. So worth it mamas!! Keep going 💖 Thank you so much!!!!
Comments like this are SO motivating & give those just beginning the routine alot of positive reinforcement. Hearing other ladies relatable stories makes u feel less alone. So thank u for sharing this comment, Alexa 🙂
This is so helpful to hear, this was my first time doing this video today, and i loved how simple yet challenging it was post c section. Will definitely return FREQUENTLY 💙
I have 3 babies and have suffered from TERRIBLE PPD after each one… but I also have MDD (major depressive disorder), so having PPD just made it very extreme for me and I’ve had such a hard time with it. Being isolated during the Covid lockdown definitely made it all worse for me and I have gained about 15-20 pounds, on top of the weight I gained during my 3rd pregnancy. I had all 3 of my kids very close together. I was basically pregnant for 3 years straight hahah. Anyway, I’ve been following along with these exercises everyday for the past week and a half and I’m actually pretty shocked because I feel so great mentally. Hopefully I’ll feel better physically if I keep exercising like this! Thank you for these videos. Seriously. This is the first time I’ve felt good in YEARS, literally.
Hi Chelsea, thank you for your kind feedback and support! I’m sorry you’ve had to endure so much postpartum. I have struggled with postpartum anxiety after having my girls and I know how crippling that can be. Sending you love; glad you’re enjoying the workouts!❤
Almost 40years old, 3 months pospartum, but i lost my baby twins🥀🥀 Come across to this video, i think this time to move on, bring back healty core n remove belly pouch.. And praying for another pregnancy ❤
I’m glad i came across this workout. I’m a cs mum and the Fupa wasn’t going away despite trying so many workouts and IF. Started this workout 2 weeks ago every day Mon-Fri. The results are visible from 91cm to 87cm. Can’t wait to wear my crop tops in Summer. Thanks Lauren❤
I have been practicing these exercises for about a month now....from 2 fingers gap in my muscles it has turned to 1 finger gap....something which didn't happen in last 3 to 4 months....being a mom of 10 months old it's not possible to join gym for me...thanks for making this possible at home for me....
My son is almost ten months and I look like I’m about five months pregnant still. Just found out that I have this and I’ve been an emotional wreck I fell like I will never be the same again. Please tell me there is hope
@@shannonsundermeier5301 hi Shannon! Don’t be discouraged. Diastasis recti is completely treatable, although it will take time. I have a whole program devoted to this on my channel: my Postpartum Ab Program, which is 12 weeks and 8 workouts to heal abs rebuild your core. I would recommend you start there! Best of luck ❤️
@@ankita_saini_arts it can take several months! Stay the course! Consistency is key. Have you tried my other Postpartum Ab workouts? My Postpartum Ab program would be another good series of workouts to add in to help you see results!
I am just here to say this exercise actually works, all you need to do is stay consistent and try to eat healthy along with this. I saw the results in just 2 weeks 😊
So happy to hear that; thank you for the kind feedback! I also now have an entire “lose your mommy pooch plan” on my channel playlists that you’d enjoy! 🤍
after doing this for only 2 days, my belly/muscle is so sore I couldn't sleep properly but I am very happy because this is the sign it is actually working. thanks for your hard work Lauren
Glad you are seeing some progress! I also have 2 programs on my playlists that will help heal and strengthen your core: my Postpartum Ab Program and my Lose Your Mommy Pooch Plan!🤍
I began this workout four days ago and I already feel the difference. I'm actually feeling my lower abs are sore but tightening. I'm a mom of two and it's been two years since my last child. I worked out consistently and it never felt like anything was helping my lower area. I just learned of diastis recti and started freaking out worrying that I would need surgery. This workout I can already see will help me heal. Thank you thank you 😊
That makes me so happy! Thank you for doing my workouts! For more workouts to help with diastasis recti, I have a Postpartum Ab Program on my channel that is designed to heal DR over 12 weeks. I think it would be really beneficial to you! ❤️
@@carolineavevor6946glad you’re here! For early postpartum, I also highly recommend my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan! It is a 10 workout plan to heal your core postpartum. It’s on my channel playlists!
Im overweight and have been consistently doing this exercise every singly day for 2-3 weeks and i already feel a difference in my core muscles ! So happy i found this! No physical therapy over here now! ❤
I'm 2 month pp. I had a normal delivery. I've always had a flat belly. But now i have a mommy pouch. Also as the pouch is in the middle i can't quite figure out if i have diastasis recti. I've been constantly looking for exercise routines that are DR friendly so that i don't do more damage to my abs. Finally I've found this video. Although im tempted to start right away Ayurveda prescribes 3 months pp as healing time. Hence from the last week of December I'll be starting these and update regularly here if i can see any difference in my mommy pouch. I'm a consistent strong willed person, and im glad i found this. Can't wait to start these!
I will be updating here weekly to stay accountable. Started 1st Feb Will be doing this workout and 12-3-30 on the treadmil 3/4 times a week. Currently 8 weeks Postpartum Flappy stomach + 60 kgs Goal: 52kgs and toned
That extra weight is supposed to help keep your breast milk supply. If you are nursing and working out you will need to eat more to keep your supply up. Carrying you baby is enough exercise! Wait until 3-4 months postpartum with low intense exercises. 8 weeks is just too soon. I’m a mom of 5 youngest is 4 months and I breast fed them all.
I started doing this around 4 months post partum consistently and now I'm 9 months post partum although not as consistent my stomach is so much flatter and I have abs coming through! Love this work out ❤
I’m 1 year postpartum and I’ve done this work out everyday for one month as well as a calorie deficit. I’m 15lbs down after 1 month. It’s an amazing feeling!
I can definitely notice a difference in my belly and same with my husband. The gap was 2cm, after 3 weeks doing this routine it has reduced to 1 cm already. My belly looks less "floppy" and muscles feel stronger/tighter.
Hi Michelle! That is so encouraging to hear. Keep up the good work! I also have a Postpartum Ab Program under my playlists that’s designed to heal DR and rebuild your core. I think you’ll really benefit from adding those workouts with this one!
Hi Lauren! My last c section was in October 2019 and I have a big DR, will I still be able to do these workouts and really see results? If yes, please recommend me some videos that I can do from your playlist. Thanks for all you do to support mamas ❤
It seriously works! I’m almost 4 years postpartum with my third baby, and I did nothing to rehab the abs since the first baby. In less than a week I look and feel better. I can’t wait to keep going!! Thank you for these moves
It keeps getting better and better. 3 weeks in, and my pants button better and don’t dig into me when I sit down. It’s only 10 minutes, and it makes a big difference, even years later!
@@elizabethwatson2603 thank you so much for sharing your progress with me! I am so happy to hear that! I’ll be creating more of these types of workouts after I am recovered from my C section a few weeks ago ❤️❤️
@@laurenfitterfitness hey I'm super interested in feeling better and not having a huge belly. Does this workout help decrease chances of regaining weight quickly?
@@kathrynblackburn5383 Hi Kathryn! This workout is more about rebuilding your core postpartum; it is not a high calorie burning or high intensity workout. But it will help with the “mommy pooch” caused by diastasis recto and other core dysfunction! Belly fat loss will happen with patience/consistency, good nutrition and supplemental workouts (I have a bunch of postpartum workouts under my “playlists” on my UA-cam channel)! Hope this helps ❤️
Thank you for this workout!! 2.5 months postpartum, and I find a combo of light jogging, strength pilates, and this DR ab video have really been doing wonders. I’ve been at pre-pregnancy weight for a month now, but finally feel like my waist is slimming back down similar to what it used to be (although I’m not making that the goal- it’s perfectly normal and natural for women’s bodies to change during pregnancy and labour. It’s beautiful!)
I’m so glad this workout has helped you feel more like yourself again! I also have a Postpartum Ab Program on my playlists that would be great for where you’re at. ❤
I’m so glad! I also have a few postpartum core programs on my channel: Postpartum Ab Program, Lose Your Mommy Pooch Plan and Diastasis Recti Repair Plan that will be great additions to this workout! ❤️
I've been doing this since mid June (It's October now) and I cannot thank you enough. I tried other videos but always preferred your workouts. I like how they ARE challenging workouts, but they don't make me want to pass out or vomit Lol. I'm doing this exercise along Video 10 from your "lose your mommy pooch" playlist 5 days a week. My entire core feels different. My waist and hips slimmed and feel toned, and my mommy pooch is wayyy better than it how originally looked! I had almost lost hope in liking my body again. I've started holding an 8lb dumbbell above my chest while doing some of the moves to add some intensity!
Commenting so I stick to it😂 I'm about to be 2 months pp. I started a no added sugar diet about a week ago and my waist is currently 31 inches. I will update when I remember
I’ve been doing your DR program for months now. Thank you Lauren for making short, effective, clear instruction, good pace (and non boring)! videos! Feeling stronger and better about my shape. This is hands down the best DR program out there! ❤🙏🏻
Thank you so much for your kind feedback and for supporting my channel! And congrats on your results-it takes hard work and consistency for sure! I am filming new postpartum workouts now, so stay tuned! ❤️❤️
I just really want to say thank you for this workout. I am 8 months postpartum and after an emergency C-section I had no feeling in my lower tummy and after doing this workout for just over a week I’ve managed to gain sensation/feeling back and I’m super grateful❤️❤️ can wait to continue working out using this workout

64 days into my DR healing journey and this is my first time doing this video… it was very intense!! I’ll be back tomorrow for more lol I’m 3 inches down so far and looking for the next 3!

This by far is my favourite. Easy to remember AND quite challenging... But I'm feeling and seeing results after two weeks (not every day btw). Thank you, Lauren.
The best postpartum ab workout I’ve found🥹 I’ve been doing it faithfully for about two weeks and already see major changes and definition coming back. Thank you so much!❤️

I’m a few years out from my last baby but although I work out, have clear issues with lower ab post partum problems. (Nothing crazy but I’d like to strengthen this part of my body!) if I did your post partum ab program, would I start at level 1? 2? 4?
@@samscorgie3484 hi! Glad you’re here! It’s never too late to hear your core. I would still suggest starting with Phase 1 of the Postpartum Ab Program, that way you can build a strong foundation for movement. I suggest spending 3 weeks in each phase, but if after one or two weeks you feel like you’ve mastered the movements, then you can move onto the next phase. Hope this helps!
Finally! Exercise that actually works to minimize the rectus diastase. I have had a 7 finger gap and my youngest is 5 now. I have tried so many different trainings to minimize the gap without success. 2 months of doing this video 4 times a week and now my gap is 5 fingers 🤩🥳 Thank you SO SO SO much for posting these exercises!

Thank you for the kind feedback! I also have a C section recovery plan and postpartum Ab program under my channel playlists that would be beneficial for you! Congrats on your new little one! ❤️
I'm excited to see what this will do for me. my youngest was born a year ago, but she was so big, she damaged my pelvic bone and core muscles, making it painful just to walk, even after a year. Physical therapy has helped, but they think that postpartum exercises like this should help strengthen my core. I'll keep my eye out for more like this, Thank you!

I'm really happy to have found this video. I have downloaded so many expensive and complicated diastasis recti programmes over the years (my baby is 6!) They were just so complicated that I lost interest. I have been doing these simple exercises for the past 2 weeks and I feel a massive difference in my core already. I have joined a gym and after my usual routine I always end with these exercises. Thankyou!

This feels awesome to do. I've become very self conscious after pregnancy and went from a skinny 136lbs to 226lbs at birth then 3 months after doing stair master I've gotten to 191lbs but have being staying there. I used to love the gym lifting till the body change this I could feel the muscles actually working compared to a program I paid for. I will keep doing these daily. They put 2 epidurals in my back messing up the first one so my back was popping and I felt the pain but it got better at about the 3rd exercise. I'm hoping this will help me I'll keep following more of your exercises. 🥰
@laurenfitterfitness I will definitely check it out! I recommend this video to a friend I've kept consistent with it and already have noticed my stomach getting tighter! Loving it!
Hello from South Africa I have been doing this workout for 2 weeks now, and I noticed my lower belly is getting tighter and toned. I have done a lot of stomach exercises before, but only my upper part would get toned and the rest of the skin would hang on the lower part. I wish I had taken a picture on the first day to show the difference. I took it very light, but the results are amazing. Thank you Lauren
Day one I am 8 months pp and I have a big mom pooch, I didn’t workout at all after my first baby but here I am after the second one . Currently 13 weeks postpartum and I’ve been doing this video roughly 5x a week for the past couple of weeks. Luckily I didn’t have DR but my core was incredibly weak post c-section and this video has made a huge difference! Hi! Once you are cleared to exercise by your medical provider, I suggest first starting with my C-section recovery plan (if you’ve had a C-section) or my Postpartum Ab Program to heal your core. Day 1 ✅ Day 2 ✅ Day 3 ✅ - i can feel tightening around my stomach Day 4 ✅ my belly button automatically goes towards my spine now and my back does not arch during the workouts! Also doing this with proper dieting + cutting out unnecessary sugar and cardio :) my core also feels stronger
I'm so doing this again especially after reading all the comments. It was quite challenging but definitely doable! I can definitely see myself doing this regularly! Its been 5 years since I had my last child and I have 4 children all up. I feel like my diastatis is really bad and I hate how it looks so I definitely should stick to this!

I've had 3 large babies as a formerly small (5'2", 115lb) lady. 7 years and 25lb later, I have an awful mommy belly that will not go away. Diet is going to be part of the solution, but so is fixing the persistent, 4-finger width diastasis recti. THANK YOU for this playlist!
Glad you’re here! You’re on the right track, nutrition + the right deep core exercises are key. Check out my Postpartum Ab Program, too, for more core healing workouts!❤
@laurenfitterfitness thank you! 💕 I've saved your entire Playlist. This is such a critical need you're serving. Many of my friends have gone to pelvic floor and physical therapists to help with DR correction, but for mamas who don't have the time/childcare, this is so very helpful. Childbirth has made some permanent changes to my body, but I think strengthening my core and losing some weight will help me embrace and accept the new form of the body that gave me three healthy babies. Tysm again! ❤️

I’ve done this 5 nights a week the last 2 weeks and I swear I’m noticing a physical change already. I’ve never had a C-section but I do have what I’ve always referred to as my mom fold over so looks very similar to a shelf. I have been coming back to this video and working on posture, controlled movement, breathing and I really love it and this is tough work!! I am just really resistant to the name “mommy pooch”. I think a medical term like “postpartum core rebuilding” would do it more justice. But also this workout is great for anyone anyone looking to build deep core strength so reducing it “just” to moms in postpartum period is restricting the range of people who click on the video.
Glad you’ve enjoyed it! I don’t love the term necessarily, but it is what women are searching for, and therefore who I want to help! That’s why I chose to use it in my video. But you’re right, it’s definitely not just for moms! Anyone can benefit from deep core training! ❤
@@laurenfitterfitness I see and I guess I am also writing in youtube search “mommy pooch” to find this video so I’m propagating the use of the term I don’t resonate with. I really appreciate this workout but I am needing to replace it with something that resonates with me more.

Im overweight and have been consistently doing this exercise every singly day for 2-3 weeks and i already feel a difference in my core muscles ! So happy i found this! No physical therapy over here now! ❤
Should you wait to heal the muscle ? Or can you do it everyday?
I’m glad you are here! I think you’d also enjoy my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan, which builds on this workout. It’s on my channel playlists!❤
I will be updating here weekly to stay accountable. Started 1st Feb
Will be doing this workout and 12-3-30 on the treadmil 3/4 times a week. Currently 8 weeks Postpartum
Flappy stomach + 60 kgs
Goal: 52kgs and toned
Sounds like a great plan! You’ve got this! ❤️

Just tried this workout for 1st time during my baby’s nap. Thank you for targeting c/s shelf and DR! Exactly what I need!
i started this workout today almost 2 years postpartum with my second and i feel great cant wait to get my fitness and health back on track!
I’m glad you are here! I think you’d also enjoy my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan, which builds on this workout. It’s on my channel playlists!❤
@ I will check it out thank you💗
Lauren, I can honestly say this workout has closed my ab split almost all the way now! I am so happy with the progress!
Also, I almost gave up on this workout when I first started because the form was hard for me to get right at first. After building muscle memory, I can now do this exercise with 4 lb ankle weights on each ankle! I'm so excited for how much a ten minute workout has pushed me into more workouts and fitness in general. My toddler boys love laying next to me and working out with me! Thank you Lauren! Your voice is so gentle and reassuring... I feel like you know each struggle point without even seeing me. Thank you again for a great workout!
That is amazing!! Congratulations on your progress and hard work!👏🏻
Thank you so much for taking the time to give kind feedback! I am so glad you’ve enjoyed the workout. I have more postpartum Ab workouts and other types of postpartum workouts if you are looking to add to your routine!🫶🏻
I will look into your other videos. I have a few workouts I added to the ab routines, but I like to start with this ab workout. Appreciate you giving us mamas resources to use from home with our littles! 😊
after 4 kids, getting SPD with the last 3 due to loss of muscle tone during the first, im finally putting my recovery first and BOY is this kicking my butt!!
I’m glad you are here! I think you’d also enjoy my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan, which builds on this workout. It’s on my channel playlists!❤
This is AMAZING! I LOVE that I was able to feel my abs working and burning.
I recently had baby #3 I'm noticing it's hard for me to control/contract my core leading to back/ hip problems from my weak core 😅.
So thank you for your videos I definitely will be following them to grown my strength back and tone up!
Thank you so much, Heather! I have a ton of postpartum ab workouts + other workouts under my “playlists” that I think you’ll enjoy. Thanks for following along ❤️
Thank you so much Lauren for this video. I followed this video just for 2 weeks and my 2 finger gap has reduced to 1 finger gap.
Can I start with other routine abs exercises now like crunches, mountain climbers, plank?
Really felt I did something for my body in these 15 mins. Thank you so much.
Love that! I also have an entire “Lose your mommy pooch” plan on my channel so you can keep going! ❤️
Hi! Glad you’re here! I also have a Lose Your Mommy pooch plan that builds on this workout. It’s on my playlists! If you’re looking for a more structured plan, I have my UA-cam guides on sale on my website right now! laurenfitter.com/programs
I’ve done this 5 nights a week the last 2 weeks and I swear I’m noticing a physical change already. I’ve never had a C-section but I do have what I’ve always referred to as my mom fold over so looks very similar to a shelf. I also cut out all processed sweets and increased my protein intake a couple of months ago and I walk at least 2 miles every single night. This combined with Lauren’s ab workout is really giving me a new confidence that I don’t think I’ve ever had.
Love hearing about your progress! Thanks for the kind feedback as well! If you like this workout, you’d love my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan! It’s on my playlists. ❤
It’s a short work out but I’m noticing results. After 6 kids I wasn’t sure, but this is pulling in my tummy from deep inside. I agree - Slow and concentrated is the way to go. Awesome! Thank you.
I’m glad you have enjoyed this workout and are noticing a difference! I think you’d also enjoy my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan, which builds on this workout. It’s on my channel playlists!❤
Only my second time doing these workouts and I’m feeling it! So sore but so happy 😊
Glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for the kind feedback!
I’m 16 weeks postpartum and loved this workout. Thank you 👏
Does it work??
Thanks so much ❤I was committed for a full 1 month, my core feels so much stronger and can see results ❤ I'm graduating to something a bit more challenging today
Awesome! If you’re looking for something more advanced, check out this series!

@@laurenfitterfitness Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ur what I've being looking for in a work out
Thank you for trying my workouts!!
This workout was perfect! I’m just coming off 4 months of physical therapy for my transverse abdominal muscle and this was the perfect transition video! Just enough challenging to help me to continue advancing but not so challenging that I feel defeated!
I’m glad you enjoyed it and that it’s helping with your recovery! I think you’d also benefit from my Lose Your Mommy Pooch plan, which builds on this workout. It’s on my channel playlists!❤
Had no idea these could be so 😥 challenging! I’m definitely incorporating in my split
I’ve been doing this routine few times a week and I have seen a definite strength increase! Movements are becoming easier too although still very challenging
I am almost 7 months postpartum and excited to get my core strength back! Thank you
So happy to hear that! I also have a 12-week Postpartum Ab Program (on my channel playlists) that will give you more in-depth core work!🤍
This is so good!!! Thank you for thinking of us mommas!!!
