  • Diving into my first steps tuning the Redcat RDS, I’m starting off with knuckles and ball cups as an experiment to see what feels better. I’m also going to try out some ReveD springs that I had in the parts box. I know I don’t finish the video with my thoughts so I’ll write them here. I switches to a 3.5mm hex to lower the scrub radius up front and the car felt better than before, it might have still felt a little nervous where I really had to be on it to put it where I wanted it. I think I might have some front wheel rubbing on the body, but I’m going to play with springs some more and start to dial it in and I’ll be sure to make more videos of the Redcat RDS as I keep tuning.
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate all the new subscribers and all the positive feedback on the videos, I’m glad these are helping some of you out!

I'm late to the game. Awesome vid. Are you going to have those front and rear carbon fiber bumpers available for the RDS? What are you using for your front magnet battery mount? are those just repurposed servo mounts?

Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching! I no longer have the carbon bumpers available, didn’t have good luck with the RDS so I e moved on. Yes servo mounts repurposed for a body mount, just recently made a video explaining the process.

Oof make sure you order yokomo balls and cups because the RDS has terrible ones and join the Facebook group because you need to do an alignment to get it to steer correctly. I gave mine away because I didn’t like it at all. I used redline 4000 shorty 2s as for charger idk I use a basic spektrum one.

I’m not sure off the top of my head, I’ve never measured them.

Amazing video! I'm a noob in rc drifting and I just bought this RC lol. I'm impressed so far but i've already encountered a problem with the servo horn.. it's plastic and the teeth was worn out after a day of testing it out. Fortunately they offer an alluminum replacement on their site. Can you share which wheel hub replacement you used on the video and if there are other alluminum replacement parts I can swap out. Idk which parts are compatible 😭

Nice, glad you like it. Definitely need the aluminum horn and I have since gone back to the stock hubs. Not many parts out but you can always check the redcat website.
