  • Before 'awakening,' were "you" the doer?
    After' awakening,' will "you" be the doer?
    If "you" think so...there's been no awakening.

    The dream does not end when you wake up. You just stop taking it so seriously and personally. I did the EST training in 1975. Someone asked me "what I did you get from it?" I remember saying " I realize that I am not my mind" I wasn't even sure what I meant. by that.... I only know that I don't know.

    I’m not asking if I should just sit on the couch and watch tv all day. But there is ZERO, NONE, NADA motivation to do anything else.
    I’m lucky to have saved some money to allow myself to do this.

      The ‘do nothing, no-motivation” period passes, if you let the ‘awakening’ continue to unfold without resistance. What might come next can be very mind-blowing.

      @@alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767Perhaps "doing nothing" becomes the new resistance sooner than we realize. Would you agree? Just as the spiritual ego, or identification with the I AM sense almost surely comes about after awakening, old conditionings are seen in an excruciatingly uncomfortable resolution. Just as reactivity is worked through, I feel as if it's best not to get stuck in the effort of dissolution. Today, I realized I was probably avoiding truly jumping into life by making it a goal to focus only on dissolving more of my self. Balance, after all, is key. And sooner or later, suffering surely arises if we don't follow the intuitive call. My efforts to dissolve more and more are now seen to be just an old coping mechanism of procrastination. What do you think? ❤

      @@alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767 Can you elaborate on that a bit? I'm in the same stage. Which steps (or insights) usually happen if you let awakening unfold without resistance that lead out of this phase? And what is mind-blowing about it?
      If you have a video about that phase it would also help a lot (just stumbled upon your channel, this is actually the very first video)

    Collapse has happened but it has also faded. Regardless, whatever experiences were had were beneficial to this dream character, more balance, more detachment, etc. I suppose one thing is that it is not entirely clear that what experiences occurred (of the collapse of illusion) were not some form of self-deception or psychosis but as you often indicate, it's all good. Same goes for the videos too, all part of the dream?
    Decades before collapse of the illusion, I was into existentialism (and still am). So creating our own meaning I don't think it is spiritual or requires us to know we are dream characters inhabiting a dream of separation. Sartre, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, etc. weren't really teachers in that sense.

    • @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767
      @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767  5 місяців тому +1

      Self -deception or psychosis would require a 'self' to happen to, right? If full collapse of the illusory self has occurred, there would be no self left to pathologize it or give it labels like deception or psychosis. So full awakening from the dream (collapse of 'self') has no happened. All things that _appear_ to be happening to a 'self' can only exist in the dream.
      Whatever happens is perfect.

    • @RamSamudrala
      @RamSamudrala 5 місяців тому

      @@alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767 The thought of self-deception or psychosis is happening to a self, but the collapse is an event that just occurs where there is (seemingly) no self. Then self is interpreting this event. (It is not permanent, it's a temporary collapse. If it were permanent, I agree the point would be moot.)
      This is not something that can be described using language I find. It's as though self disappears and comes back and there's the sense that self collapsed giving rise to Unity that you talk about but you're right this interpretation is also happening by a self within the dream. There's no escaping this. It's precisely why I made that comment.
      Using the analogy to nighttime dreams, it's as though the dream character (within the nighttime dream) finally realises they are in a dream. This can occur spontaneously but in this analogy, it occurs when the dream ends as the dreamer wakes up, and then dreamer goes back to sleep and the same dream resumes. The dream character then goes "Oh, I'm in a dream." I've had this happen within my nighttime dreams (the first time it's a nightmare then I wake up relieved for a few seconds and go back to a relaxed "nightmare" knowing it is not real). But it's extremely rare, maybe a handful of times it has occurred in my 52 years.
      These experiences (not nighttime dreams, but happening during normal business hours :), now interpreted by self/ego, is what I have that point to the truth of what you state. Otherwise how does one know/experience this is all a dream and self isn't real and whatever happens is perfect, etc.? OTOH my concern is that this is self-deception and yes that is also arising from a self. So what really distinguishes these two interpretations? They are both thoughts arising yet one interpretation is colinear with what you state and the other interpretation is colinear with a psychiatric evaluation. Does it even matter?
      This is what I wanted to discuss with you (I also asked this in Quora). I'm just running it around in my head to make sure it is the really the question I want to ask/discuss so that's why I've not emailed you. But maybe I'm overthinking it. Still integrating the experiences from those years.

    • @RamSamudrala
      @RamSamudrala 5 місяців тому

      @@alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767 Also
      "collapse" is not just self disappearing. That is something one can become aware of, that self isn't permanent, mindfulness illustrates this impermanence and its (their) ephemeral nature. But this notion of everything is the same, Unity, Being, etc. appears exposed. There is no self when this occurs (seemingly) but a new self arises to to interpret it (always there's a new self every single moment). Again, not describable in words.

    “You won’t even last five minutes doing nothing”.
    Umm…you are completely wrong there. I can and have don’t nothing for hours and hours a day, for weeks and weeks at a time.
    Now what do you say?

    • @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767
      @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767  5 місяців тому

      Thinking, planning, ruminating, desiring, even just wondering if this is some kind of ‘heightened spiritual state’ are all still doing something.
      Extreme example: Ramana Maharshi spen 20 years in a cave, so immersed in Silence that he would have died from body/nourishment neglect if local devotees didn’t wash and force-feed him.
      Most not only couldn’t do that, but couldn’t even sit still for 5-50 minutes without their mind running and eagerly desiring or planning what’s next.
      Sounds like you may land somewhere in between those descriptions

    But what about the evolution of consciousness? In my Perspektive we get involved in Drama and Trauma to get evolved, so that mankind has the Chance to learn the lessons.
    Well, even Bill Gates and doubtful gurus as sadhguru may contibute to that even if wellbeing of mankind might not be their Intention.

    • @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767
      @alreadyenlightenedwtejaana4767  11 місяців тому

      Consciousness (Being) is already whole, complete and immaculate. 'Evolution' is an illusion that only appears in the dream of separateness. In that dream, the One appears as 'many,' each with its own life and evolution, and it may appear that the events (drama, trauma, ecstasy) contribute to that "person's'" progress. But there is only the One, no separate entities.
