Freddie Mercury was a man of many talents and many different sides. The songs he wrote for and with Queen filled stadiums around the globe and have rightly gone down in history, but he also embarked on a solo career that took him from the clubs of Munich and New York to the great opera houses of the world.
He was the ultimate showman, but he kept his private life away from the prying eyes of the media; a larger than life rock star who loved disco, classical music and ballet. He was a restless spirit, a true chameleon who revelled in his own contradictions.
All the different sides of this iconic musician can be found on Freddie Mercury: Messenger Of The Gods - The Singles. All formats released September 2nd 2016.
On 29th May 1987, a huge festival was held on the island of Ibiza, at a venue called Ku Club. Titled 'Ibiza '92', the event was held to celebrate Spain hosting the Olympic Games in 1992. Along with many other artists, Freddie appeared with Montserrat Caballé to showcase the song they had been working on - seventeen months before it was released as a single.

Thank you very much for your brillian comment. Freddy wanted all his life to sing with Monserrat, it is always said it will be his most desire in his life. There is a best Iglesias-Ross stars duet. This was the galaxy one. I doubt there will be others at such quality level. It will lasts forever.

This phenomenal duet gives me chills every time I hear it. I didn’t realize how incredible Freddie and Montserrat were when I was younger, putting this together but now I admire their deep and unique talent. Freddie was one of the few singers who could match Montserrat’s operatic voice. Both True Legends ❤

That last half voice with a small crescendo, that Monserrat did almost at the end, is impossible for a human being, only an angel is capable of such a sound, no wonder she was one of the greatest singers of all time, RIP two of the most greatest artist of all time.
