Ok, ive stayed in Rwanda and Uganda, for at least 3 months, stayed in Kicukiro, Kigali and in Kira, on the outskirts of Kampala, moved around in both countries but I feel your analysis is painful and has many bad experiences. I tried to finish watching but I totally disagree on many points, maybe because im 🇿🇦 and look similar in both countries, and i think its vital who introduces you to a country, i had excellent hosts in both countries and I experienced for myself. The customer service in Rwanda is professional and in Uganda is friendly and costly. Like male South African, Rwandese womyen like their own men culture, they hardly marry outside of their country except Kenyans, Ugandans and Burundians, i found the women have rights and can express in a way that is disrespectful, a Rwandese woman is expected to be shy, they also want to make money, they work for their families, again maybe because I'm 🇿🇦, there's a little favor. Communication in English can be a challenge, so its good to learn Kinyarwanda/Swahili/French but you can get by with English, especially in the younger generation. In Uganda the women are so humble and kind, yes some like money but its like that in my country too, Kampala was like New York, so many guys studied overseas, accents, nice areas like Kololo but most of the roads are terrible, yet the buildings are great, its normal for a woman to kneel before a man, Ugandans are generous and friendly, Rwandese are careful to let you in their circle but once you are in, they are so kind, organised, efficient and cultured, their family unity is admirable. Yeah man just come back from Uganda. Your videos are super help. Your right about the infrastructure jn Uganda its not te best. And I have traveled to 5 different continants now. Im yet to travel to other East Africa regions. Love from Manchester England
All observations are true for both countries, have been to both and honestly I thought I was wrong but this video proves me right about Rwanda and Uganda.
Rwanda is approximately 26,338 sq km, (Kigali is about 730 sq. km), while Uganda is approximately 241,038 sq km, (Kampala about 8500 sq. KM) making Uganda 815% larger than Rwanda. Just by size alone, you are comparing apples and oranges. As long as I can remember, Rwandese and other East African countries surrounding Uganda have crossed over to Uganda for education and work. Unlike the Uganda turmoil which hurt the economy, killed at least 300,000, and displaced millions, Rwanda was given a quasi MARSHALL PLAN by the USA and European Union to rebuild after the genocide. Even today President Clinton is tormented by his decision to support the Balkan war freedom fighters while ignoring the genocide in Rwanda.
Am a Kenyan but you are analysing this thing in a very weird manner, when you are in Africa. Stop comparing it's standards with America or Europe. We are Africa and our ways are different.
Then state it in your Title that it's for Americans visiting Africa.. We are tired of all these videos of one African country been compared with another.. Let's pursue Unity for Africa. Make your Title claret for your audience. Much love ❤️
About the conversation switching, I can surely confirm. Ugandans are generally freer both politically and ideologically. But We need to work on your infrastructure for sure.

I am surprised you did not mention Brochettes in Rwanda when you spoke about food in Rwanda. It is like talking about Italian food without mentioning Pasta 😆. I agree though Rwandan food culture isn’t as great as Ugandan but I don’t think is that bad. There are tons of really good restaurants in Kigali especially in Kimihurura area. Rwandans eat more into veggies than meat. Most of them eat and prefer meat in brochettes than traditionally cooked meat. And there are really good spots with fantastic brochettes. Other than that tbh they are more or less the same as any other Africans. If you stay in Africa longer you will understand.
@@WillieFungo Rwandans usually eat goat ( ihene) brochettes. Beef brochettes aren’t popular, probably the same reasons you mention, they usually don’t cook well on a stick. The best spot for me to eat good beef is at İNKA steakhouse.

To be honest,Uganda remains the best coz its the pearl of Africa, always the best for a person doing adventure or documentary coz it has a big history, only a district like wakiso in uganda might even be bigger than Rwanda as a country.Uganda has many cultures that you would like to explore, but all in all uganda is more wealthier and developed than Rwanda. Rwanda being a small country makes it easier for development than a big country like Uganda whose Government is not favouring.

In rwandan culture the tough meat is the best mostly that's why even brochette are tough not tender and soft about experiencing diarrhoea the entire time is new thats something you experience for like the first week but after that the body should be used to the new food sorry for that experience
If you like joyful and extroverted people, you should consider visiting Ghana and Ivory Coast. They are very nice, goofy and welcoming towards strangers.
I'm a brother from Atlanta, Georgia currently living in Kenya. Your stomach problems comes from eating in local restaurants. I never eat at the same restaurants as local kenyans because i'll get Diarrhea: You have to eat only at "upscale" Western style places like CJ's Restaurant to not get sick if you're a Westerner because they don't cook with the "dirty", unflitered, water, and care about flies and other hygiene issues.
I'm Ugandan, and been to Kenya, studied with Kenyans, and got good good Kenyan friends. Great guys, smart, really intelligent folks. But I've to say, Kenyan cuisine sucks so much. The beef stew is rushed and feels unhygienic. Lots of half-cooked dishes; the rice will have your stomach groaning and grumbling. Ugandan would remains top tier.
At the very start of the video i know how it will end ( taking you 30years back😂😂). Am a ugandan Rwandanian but not pleased with the judgement of uganda... I rate uganda the best in everything
Im a sri lankan, i have visited some african countries like Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Uganda also. Uganda was gud, everything was so cool there, beautiful nature just like in my mother land and delicious food. Thank you for visiting us, (Uganda, please come again). Though from listening to you, you have taken so many things too personal and that has clouded your judgement and overall opinion on the research you have done on both countries. You need to be unbiased and attach no feelings whatsoever, given that you are helping many people from around the world to decide on which countries to visit or even settle...But we can't have clear information if feelings are attached here now,can we? Overall, Well-done.
Willie, great video! Honestly I loved this. The information is very useful and I really enjoyed the format. Straight to the point and cuts to the chase. 👍🇨🇦
Rwanda is beautiful and safe, yes - BUT the vibes are weird. Much unspoken tension with everyone trying to play cool and not talk about tribe/genocide/divide, rampant alcoholism. The people are so apathetic and almost dead inside. It's very sad what happened to them but I can't live in a place like that.
Very interesting. You are not the first person to point that out. I knew it was too good to be true. What happened in 1994 was HORRIFIC. You can build infrastructures as much as you want but the population is still traumatized. Imagine living amongst people who killed people of your family. I understand how someone can become depressed, paranoid and have prejudice.
As a Rwandan, it really makes me laugh how other African perceive “Rwandan coldness” as “weird, unsettling and dystopian” 😂 You lot expect every Africans do be all dancing, speaking loud, jovial and simplistic… but wouldn’t expect the same from a Norwegian or Korean. Conform to the host country culture or get out ! remember from a local perspective your just a host and not some sort of main character we are supposed to entertain.
@@HK-vu7wf hey I don't think he was insulting your people. Don't feel offended. He's kind of not lying. And being cold, apathetic and seemingly out-of-touch is objectively not a good trait. Fortunately, it's something one can work on for self-improvement. I mean, we live in a globalized world, and apathy just doens't play in one's favor in cut-throat global competition. I studied with many Rwandans in Ntare and many adapted. Becoming more profound and involved. So yeah, I think guys are just suggesting objective individual improvement.
Both countries are equally 👌 the best to me when it comes to natural resources and topography.... The only thing that makes one or the other better is the state of mind of the people in both countries 💯. Poverty Starts in the Mind!!!! Otherwise, its a personal preference of the individual.... Good 👍 Q? Though! Respect.....
I don't mind giving them my money, if they're giving me what I want too. Besides that, the money they want is usually not that much at all. They can be exceedingly grateful with something very modest...
ug has so many great places to visit that u did not visited and wen it comes to people's behavior, politeness and welcoming ug is by far better.example .so many Rwandese relocate to ug than Ugandans can relocate to Rwanda. The authoritarianism in Rwanda is a serious concern thats why u cannot see any strikes or demonstrations in the streets of any town in rwanda. The only challenge ug is facing is road infrastructure especially in urban areas than up country.Politics is also a challenge to the development of ug.i mean bad politics is affecting the countries development.u cannot compare rwanda to ug.yes thay have achieved alot during these last 30years but ug is far man.if u are interested in business then ug's market is way bigger than Rwanda's market.ugandans have travelled all over the world u can find them in any country and this has helped them to develop and it has changed their way of thinking and understanding of how to handle issues.
The idea of just comparing the 2 isn't fair, Its like trying to compare yourself to your parent. Both countries have great stories believe different no many ways
Willie, I learned a lot from this video. I recommend Nigeria will be the best fit for you. For me, I’ll stay away from Rwanda and Uganda. I’ve heard similar story about Ethiopian ladies not having relationships with someone outside their tribes as in Rwanda. Too bad they have not reconciled their differences that led to the massacre years ago.
There are only two tribes in Rwanda, and we've intermarried. We've mixed so much that the notion of tribe no longer has any meaning. What we don't do is marry foreigners. Please educate yourself.
@user-yz8jj2gu7h People have preferences. Most people prefer to marry their own compatriot, whether Japanese, Italian, or Israeli. Many Rwandans are married to foreigners. I have family members who have married Belgians, Quebecers, Cambodians, Americans, Senegalese and Trinidadians.
@@WillieFungo People's preferences are based on various factors such as where they were raised and mainly their exposure. Our family has had the privilege of living in different countries, which has made us more open to foreigners.
Rwanda advertises a false image of itself plus it looks like a small district, thats why its able to capitalize and invest in itself and look “better”.

My dear this video was very important to many of us especially me.. because I'm busy playing of visiting Rwanda this month...so it's important to be very informed about where I'm heading and things to expect... I'm very disappointed though to hear that most Rwanda girls are players and lovers of money...which will make difficult to find a date
@@lentherytv1487 thats everywhere in east africa and all other economically poor countries
i like your honest reviews of these countries
Best analysis I have ever seen of African countries especially the integration part
Uganda the pearl of Africa 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have got to know friends from the social media in Uganda I find both men and women on Uganda are honest..like ypu said for some people it's money plays a role , but thanks god I know my.friend circle Ugandans are more friendly that many other African countries
Yeah man just come back from Uganda. Your videos are super help. Your right about the infrastructure jn Uganda its not te best. And I have traveled to 5 different continants now. Im yet to travel to other East Africa regions. Love from Manchester England
Love you more from Uganda
This channel's core audience is Americans. And that is who the content is targeted for.
Then state it in your Title that it's for Americans visiting Africa.. We are tired of all these videos of one African country been compared with another.. Let's pursue Unity for Africa. Make your Title claret for your audience. Much love ❤️
I’m from Sudan 🇸🇩 I go with Uganda 🇺🇬
I've been in Uganda but I go for Rwanda
@22:30,wowww Will‼️I’m going through the thing right now!
Uganda is better than Rwanda ,I have been to kigali and their villages.Asmall part of kigali is so good.
Thanks for such a detailed video. This was very informative.
About the conversation switching, I can surely confirm.
Ugandans are generally freer both politically and ideologically. But We need to work on your infrastructure for sure.
Well done video and lots of great insights. Not sure if I'll ever visit these countries but if I did 22:10 would be the reason.
😅
Good video, interesting topic, and useful information from an honest viewpoint. Thank you.
I really love my country rwanda and we have beautiful people 😮❤🥴💗🦋🫣🫰😀🥰
❤uganda doesnt advertise its self like other countries. But its above there beyond other countries which advertise themselves like rwanda
True

Uganda has better variety, in the same category as DRC. But Uganda is much smaller, this limits the potential.
He's not lying about the food bit, i got nothing against Rwandans but Ugandans we much much better at foods n drink, even entertainment and night life
True. The issue is your cleanliness. You guys, you don't care.
@@AntoineMuhirwa Oh we do care, but the policy frameworks and structures to provide for safe, hygienic and sustainable environments more or less don't exist or are not implemented, our government cares more about giving hand out monies to corrupt everyone than say properly monitoring and account for infrastructural development. Everything is a mess here.
Uganda women love enjoyment.
Ugandans in general love enjoyments, the limitation is money.
When I was talking about beef, I was talking about brochettes because that's how it is usually served.
@@WillieFungo Rwandans usually eat goat ( ihene) brochettes. Beef brochettes aren’t popular, probably the same reasons you mention, they usually don’t cook well on a stick. The best spot for me to eat good beef is at İNKA steakhouse.

Another high quality production. I am planning on checking out Uganda for a day or two on my way to Kenya in December. Which African country would you recommend for dating?
I guess it depends on what you want?
If you want beauty and brain, go to Kenya..... But their girls are predatory capitalists.
I love you the way you vibe uganda 🤣🤣😂😂😂but remember it's uganda which feeds Rwanda with matooke and maize as well as cassava
I visited Rwanda last year & oh my,everything looked so prestine until I dug deeper than the surface. Things were so hard to find, restaurants, clinics even malls were had to come by. Folks looked fearful as though there was a big brother watching them from somewhere plus the staring,OMG. I left the next day back to uganda. How I missed Ugandan food, uganda night life,Ugandan laughter &happiness. If good infrastructure can't give happiness, great food, joy, wats the point?🙄 I left the next day.
Very True.... You're absolutely correct !
Oh wow 😢
Once Uganda fixes the potholes and gets fast Internet what will the detractors talk about?
@@sarahtn912 it's basically potholes..nothing else actually. We have everything else,fantastic weather,warm people,lots of food,lots of fun activities,a bustling nightlife,festivals oh my😃
No that is not true I have been in rewanda for almost 4 years, the people are very friendly, warm, welcoming and when it comes to the services like hospitals and other everything is there well organized.
You are going to love Cabo Verde and I also suggest Sao Tome and prince, the second country is where I'm from.THESE 2 countries are the best in AFRICA.PEACE and LOVE brother
Great job my 😎 dude..from Sacramento California
Some parts of that information are not accurate. For both countries. Do more research yourself if you must visit any of the countries.
Thanks for the information, Willie!
In rwandan culture the tough meat is the best mostly that's why even brochette are tough not tender and soft about experiencing diarrhoea the entire time is new thats something you experience for like the first week but after that the body should be used to the new food sorry for that experience
Uganda my mother will always be the best. I love you ug.
Kenya and Tanzania right by, Nairobi is a top tier African city.
If you like joyful and extroverted people, you should consider visiting Ghana and Ivory Coast. They are very nice, goofy and welcoming towards strangers.
Thank You 🙏
I'm a brother from Atlanta, Georgia currently living in Kenya.
& CJ is actually a Ugandan restaurant
Spot on! This applies to all African countries
11:24 I was expecting "mess" with them, he had me on the first half! 😀
Uhmm am surprised Uganda is everything . If you want to leave Uganda is the answer .
Leave or live?
Im a sri lankan, i have visited some african countries like Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Uganda also. Uganda was gud, everything was so cool there, beautiful nature just like in my mother land and delicious food. (I liked ugandan cousine but tbh they were not spicy enough for me i guess, i mean gud food but in my country i eat lot of flavors and spices) but Uganda was amazing! I will visit Rwanda also someday.... (sorry for my poor english)
How can u compare Uganda to rwanda when Kigali is like a district of ug
excellent video
Great video but BJs has some of the worst pork in Gulu ..VIP Pork Joint has that crown in Gulu hands down after three years of living in Gulu. Still one of the best, honest, and most underated UA-camrs on the continent. 👊🏾 Brother Fungo!

I choose Rwanda land of possibilities 🥰🥰🥰
Willie, great video! Honestly I loved this. The information is very useful and I really enjoyed the format. Straight to the point and cuts to the chase. 👍🇨🇦
Rwanda is beautiful and safe, yes - BUT the vibes are weird. Much unspoken tension with everyone trying to play cool and not talk about tribe/genocide/divide, rampant alcoholism. The people are so apathetic and almost dead inside. It's very sad what happened to them but I can't live in a place like that.
Wow so thats why they run to our country Uganda for the freedom it has
Very interesting.
That's what I also heard about Rwandese, hippocracy
As a Rwandan, it really makes me laugh how other African perceive “Rwandan coldness” as “weird, unsettling and dystopian” 😂
You lot expect every Africans do be all dancing, speaking loud, jovial and simplistic… but wouldn’t expect the same from a Norwegian or Korean.
Uganda the pearl of africa.
Remember that.
Uganda zaabu❤❤
Uganda is everything even if you google about East African countries
Uganda will always win.l love Uganda my mother land and pearl of Africa .
💚🤙👌👍 Thanks. 😊
I don't mind giving them my money, if they're giving me what I want too. Besides that, the money they want is usually not that much at all. They can be exceedingly grateful with something very modest...
Good points.
How can you compare the rich and the poor ?
Rwanda is the best
ug has so many great places to visit that u did not visited and wen it comes to people's behavior, politeness and welcoming ug is by far better.example .so many Rwandese relocate to ug than Ugandans can relocate to Rwanda.
But people come from Rwanda to uganda y? Here they are very many
People move to places for personal reasons
People move from usa 🇺🇸, Europe to other countries like Asia and and Africa
Uganda is by far better, at least they have freedom and some soul about their country, Rwanda is a caged landlocked little land with no spirit.
@@Kim-250 Not that I want to marry a Rwandan but your practice is discriminatory.
@@Kim-250 Your two posts here have already contradicted. 😊
@@WillieFungo People's preferences are based on various factors such as where they were raised and mainly their exposure. Our family has had the privilege of living in different countries, which has made us more open to foreigners.
Rwanda is too small to compare to ug
Rwanda advertises a false image of itself plus it looks like a small district, thats why its able to capitalize and invest in itself and look “better”.
