    That’s probably the best example of accountability I’ve ever seen ! The man spends 33 years in prison, and not once did he point the finger at someone else being responsible for the decisions he made. I pray for his success, and I’m hopeful that his story can help others. 🙏

    Joe, this is a professional production. This is where you seem to have a creative eye. Keep this type of work going, you do well at it, refreshing update to channel.
    Banky looks like a old war dog, that man has seen more than his share of drama. I can't wait to hear about him, his life hes lived, and what he is thinking/doing now. I'm sitting legs crossed on the floor, like I'm 8, gazing at Banky as he talks.

I was still holding a grudge inside about his incarceration that affected my mother and his grandmother who is now deceased now I am the patriarch and the individual that has to help my nephew reentry because he has nothing !     I've been to almost every prison in California since I was 6 years old and my brother was 4 to visit our father ...... Im 39 years old now and he's getting paroled next month, he's in his 60s!!!!!

      You a clown real streetlife people dont see the danger or think about getting out if everything goes fine until chit goes down. I used to sell guns and grow/sell marihuana. Once I got into trouble with one of my businesspartner he tried to put me in a setup and rob me. Ended out in a shoot out my guy vs them (3 guys) nobody was hit and everybody left. 2/3 days later i heard they were looking around for me and pay $14.000 to the one that gives them my location. Thats when chit really gets scary my friend but then its too late most of the time unless you can figure something out. I got lucky

I heard him say nothing about the harm he caused. I see zero regret from empathy, he simply hates what he went through. He doesn't regret what he did to people, he regrets he was caught, basically. It's all about him him him. Not a word of empathy. I see no heart.

    One of the best interviews I've seen, thank you! I've been a prison phlebotomist for 2 years, and now I'm going to school to be a prison nurse. Working in prison is the best job I've ever had because inmates respect me more than patients in the outside world. I'm always striving to make even the smallest positive impact in the life of inmates, that's why I started watching your channel. Thanks for everything you do, it's appreciated more than you know.

    This man is going to do great things. I hope he knows it. Articulate, passionate and most importantly, he’s being real. No one knows what an hour in prison is like unless you’ve been there. A day in there will change a man, even a couple seconds will, I’ve seen it. So for him to be so positive shows how much courage and gratefulness he has. Glad you’re out my guy!

If you owed anyone money when you went it your credit is ruined when you get out. Getting out is better than being in, but in the US they don't give you much of a chance when you get out.

      Ender, I too suffered from anger and used to be a very violent person. Will power enough won’t do it, this is a spirit or a demon. I’m sure someone in your family was like that and now it’s you. The only real way to be delivered from this through true deliverance which can literally only come from God like He did for me my man.       I can see how you would consider that a kind of demon that has been passed on, I just don't view the world that way. I left religion behind at an early age and don't plan on going back.

      Ender Pearl believe me I get it. I only believe because of the experiences I’ve had like prophecy & dreams and not only that, but the way He has transformed my heart. Literally a miracle and I’ve seen it happen to plenty others too. Beautiful things man. Once you get really fed up, all you have to do is be sincere and literally cry out to God. He listens and will never reject a sincere heart. Remember that.

      This is the sane talk going back to the 79's via the Scared Straight program. Talk-Talk-Talk, but as the decades pass more and more find themselves either in prison or in an alternative program.
      And what's the deflection; White Supremacy, Industrial Prison Complex, and a gambit of others. Try educating about why Blacks, of not all Americans should exercise their 5th Amendment Rights, and for Blacks, the deflection is that is the Whiteman's laws, but those are the same laws that are used to hem people up, to include not just rolling over on these plea deal.
      Prison Reform is a joke also, because it only addresses after the convictions are dooled out, money is made, and job security is allowed to see another day. No one discuss reducing the number of those who are issued convictions.

    My significant other has spent 34 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He just made parole in May 20th, 2021, after five hearings, and I’m waiting for him to come home now. He’s 56, and also went to prison in 1987. I’ve started a channel to document the triumphs and challenges he’ll face once he comes home. Good luck to you.

    I see a lot of comments on here about the crime he committed and how he’s lucky. At no point did this brother ask for pity. He owned up to his crime and paid his debt to society. How you feel about him doesn’t matter. What you should be interested in is how he’s making the best of his new found freedom and how he’s trying to be a productive member of society. His past seems to be behind him and that’s all we can ask for.

I have a knack of getting through to them and they enjoy my life stories, I am raw and honest with them ,and they appreciate it and trust me because of it but I like to rely on a variety of stories and people that I find equally honest and encouraging that speak from their own truthful experiences. I will 100% show them the last 6 minutes of Mr.Banks' interview, it reinforces what I 'preach'.       Sometime people learn from their mistakes and grow from them, others just rinse and repeat.

      @Donkey Balls Laws were different back in the 80s and 90s. You were only doing about 25 percent on aggravated charges like Murder, robbery etc.

      @Donkey Balls He should have been locked up and reformed so that when he is out he has the skills to take opportunities that will earn him a good living so that he doesn't commit crimes again.
      The justice system should not only be about punishment and revenge but also rehabilitation because ultimately that is a benefit to all of us.

    I'm SO happy his mother survived his sentence and was able to be there to see him on the other side of it.
    It's also very hard (mentally, emotionally, financially, etc.) on family; to walk that time out with the person incarcerated... it's hard on everyone.

      Las Vegas He spent 33 years in prison...lol that’s way worse than being killed. Think about it if you’re dead then you’re just dead or maybe in some sort of afterlife but if you’re alive in prison you’re literally suffering and he has suffered for 33 years.

    I really appreciate your story. My father did time for murder in California. He would not take visitors...ever. He's been out for about 10 years and he will not talk about it and he hates anything with violence. Thank you this helps me understand him. God bless and I wish you peace and prosperity 🙏.
