Hey guys, I want to keep these tutorials going but I'm running out of topics. So help me fill in the blank! Tricks to make your ________ more interesting!
Yo Simon did you ever think about becoming a irl music teacher? You really have the enthusiasm and idk, teacher feel? Idk you’re just so nice to listen to and you’re really good in explaining short but oh so sweet what you’re doing. There aren’t many people I’d say I’d imagine having you as a teacher but I definitely imagine that with youz
Servida Music I'd appreciate that! I recently found out about your channel and your tutorials have been very helpful to me. This one in particular was a bit more advanced in music theory but I was able to follow along with it. You have great energy and enthusiasm everytime and you're easy to understand :)
Rock/ Heavy Metal guy here, exploring other genres. Really got into some Synthwave/Chill music stuff recently and got FL Studio. Your theory knowledge is awesome man. It's great to see an electronic musician who knows theory and how to apply it properly. You have inspired me quite a lot. Hell, I made a guitar riff out of a synth lead track I composed! 😂 If it weren't for you, my FL Studio journey wouldn't have started. Thank you so much and keep going ❤️
This is a really great brief music theory tutorial for people. I was a music major in college doing jazz improv and composition so I'm always experimenting with interesting chord progressions for my beats. I really like this beat, it's got a jazzy film noir style to it.
I’m a rock/alternative writer for my band, but even this rundown with chords is soooo helpful as I appreciate most genres and how they are made. I love this music so much and I hope one day I can be as intelligent as you will this shit. Also: some funky chords (that sound like they are meant for piano) on guitar are OUT OF THIS WORLD
You can tell when he is in the groove because he always comes up with some crazy melody or something then you hear him go "ughhh" lol thats how you know the beat is about to take a dope turn
What's up bro, new to the producer community, have seen/heard your name but this the first video UA-cam algorithm has blessed me with. I've been missing out! Love the editing and the energy my g. But most importantly you just helped me get better with that suspended chord example. It clicked for me. Just happened to be working on some chord practice and that 30 seconds just improved my shit so much. Thank you and much success on the grind 🙏🏾
Broda thanks for everything can u plzz make some music theory videos please all course are really expensive i am sure many of us can't afford them u r the only hope!
Great, useful, simple tips. But there are others. You have Octave Doubling, in which you double some of the notes used in a chord, but in octaves above, for example: C major as C5 E5 G5 C6 G6. You also have Open Voicing, in which you spread the notes of a chord over 2+ octaves, for example: Cmaj7 as C5 B5 E6 G6. (The numbers represent the octave).
Love how useful this is for all kinds of music! You used it to make a trap track, and I came here to learn how to get a better feel for Broadway-esque songs
do you think you can go over diminished chords in your next video? i didn’t really understand it, but i loved the way it worked out in your song!! loved the vid 👍🏼
Dude your videos helped me so much these days! I was into lofi beat production these days and all your videos on chords and lofi hiphop are so informative
i'm making my debut on fl studio after few year without touching a keyboard ( many year before i used a free tracker). your vidéo/channel is very useful thanks a lot
Love the beat & you got mad skills fam. That sax is fire & a video idea would be show us how you add the background photos/change the skins in FL Studio
This is fucking interesting and useful at the same time wow ! Thanks a lot for sharing all your years of music theory and make it more accessible to peoples who just write melodies and stuff by feeling. It's always good to not do random things and think about " why not do this or this ? " like the suspended chords for example :D Thanks a lot for the video, I'm gonna use a lot of these tips in my next productions !
How do u keep the tonality throughout the song if you're always changing keys with the chords and stuff?, Also how do u know which notes to put on the bass if the chords are outside of the key
@Servida Music, How did you change the background of FL studio that way? I know how to add your own picture on the background but yours is completely different and shines through all the screens... :)
You are very talented and I love all these videos you've been putting out. I appreciate all your hard work. That being said I do have one critique.. the segments where it abruptly goes from your amazing music to your amazing voice is a little painful for me because I always have your beats at max volume so I can hear the delightful low-end. Love you bro
Nice video. Bro can you make a video on r&b music ? I really want you to make a video on it. The weeked type of track. Like how to desgin chords, melodies and drums for r&b track. I'm so inspired by abel. So i would love to see a that kinda video from you. I'll really appreciate it.
I love these videos man keep up the work im definitiely learning something every video. with ur videos i always stay until the end for some reason so ur definitely doin the right thing. Just keep it up bro!❤️✌🏼

No problem man!
this guy created better chords in one second than i did in my whole career
This is a really great brief music theory tutorial for people. I was a music major in college doing jazz improv and composition so I'm always experimenting with interesting chord progressions for my beats. I really like this beat, it's got a jazzy film noir style to it.
Thanks man, that's exactly what I was going for!
the way you explained inversion just blew my mind as somebody thats been playing keys for a year or 2

As soon as I heard that bassline I knew it was going to be fire 🔥!
started to lose motivation to create beats until i stumbled onto this. now i feel like ive been given the tools to make better tracks. thanks.

Thanks for those. They can technically can go in under inversions
True, but they can be mutually exclusive, they can be applied separately.
+Headform Records what.. the... hell... are you saying?

Simon Servida back at it again with them high quality vids
0:29 how was those hats so quantized while recording??? Everytime i do mind they off beat
It might be the latency on your keyboard
That beat really sick super sick
I was just watching your other videos and you uploaded. The best as always!
this dude too clean
How do u keep the tonality throughout the song if you're always changing keys with the chords and stuff?, Also how do u know which notes to put on the bass if the chords are outside of the key
The bass note will always follow the chord, no matter what key its in
Using inversions and the other techniques shown in this video does not involve changing key.
I know but he usually likes to do that
Great tips bro, always good to see theory and feeling mixed together creating a really interesting composition!
That sounds great 🔥👌🏽
@Servida Music, How did you change the background of FL studio that way? I know how to add your own picture on the background but yours is completely different and shines through all the screens... :)
Hello from Russia. Thank you very much for helping me.
Holy Shit, the combination of this type of explanation and this relaxing smooth vibing instrumental is very great!!!
You are very talented and I love all these videos you've been putting out. I appreciate all your hard work. That being said I do have one critique.. the segments where it abruptly goes from your amazing music to your amazing voice is a little painful for me because I always have your beats at max volume so I can hear the delightful low-end.
