The pellet waggled float is like that because it stops it going under the water when casting so that you can see quick bites and to limit the splash caused.
Hey TA Fishing, Try using a long bird feather but strip off all feathers of the "bone" or whatever its called, and put a rubber band around it so it holds it on your silk, i love using it as a float it works amazing. Hope you understand what i mean i apologise for bad english.
we have to film what is catching. Can't get much footage out of a blank trip ! We try to mix it up,but its all free to watch anyway ,eventually you will stumble into a sea or trout film.Lots on the playlist already.

I tried a piece of banana today and caught a 6 lb common first cast. I didn't know banana floats (well slightly under ripe ones do). I do now! It's a great bait for surface fishing if bread is banned. Sadly more and more fisheries are banning bread.

My best bread bait make your own use self raising flour and milk make a dough like bread micro wave till spongy let set rock hard like stale bread and u can sand paper to look fluffy or leave it mircro wave longer if u want it to float if u hair rig it harder than a boile hope this helped

afaik the float is like that to make a distinctive plop when hitting the water to attract carp in, as with the noise of the pellets hitting and the big shot used with normal cigar pellet wagglers
so with the main rod that you started off with bread did you plumb the depth so you were fishing on the bottom and with the margin rod what were you using as a bite indicator?
My dad swore by banana also strawberries, back in the day he used tinned new potatoes kidney beans butter beans chick peas etc love your videos keep it up

That particular pellet waggler has that cup with 3 holes in it so you can pack it with damp pellets or pellet/groundbait mix which it releases over your hook bait,similar to the baggin waggler but creates a plop and stops the float from diving to deep as well.Cracking method when the carp are right up in the water and best fished from 6" to 3ft deep as they tend to hook themselves at that depth,any deeper and you'll need to strike more often then not.

The shape at the bottom of the float is to top it plunging under the water and to create a bigger splash when it hits the water.

A bit too much carp fishing lately. Would be nice to see a larger variety of different types of fishing. Pike, sea fishing, trout etc.
