A better name for this show would be “Directly After”. Still incorporating the Direct reference but also says what you learn afterwards.

Agreed. They are one of those developers that when I see their name, I just know the game will be good. I'm kind of stunned that there's a new Fantasy Life coming!

This is a brilliant series idea! I'm surprised I've never seen anybody put this kind of press-release info in a cohesive compilation before. Nonetheless, this is a very sweet way to compile everything together. Just as informational as it seems personal. Amazing job! Excited for the next one!

Fantasy life was such a nostalgic part of my childhood so I'm really hyped but I hope the new game isn't a disappointment

I replayed Fantasy Life last year, and am now tempted to go back and finish my playthrough

One thing I don’t think you mentioned is that since Kirby tilt and tumble is coming to nso means that we can possibly get other games with motion controls like Wario Ware: Twisted

(b) Level-5’s revival is absolutely the unsung success of this Direct. Ni No Kuni 3 when?
Level-5 also owns Comcept, so what about a vindication title for Mighty No. 9? Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is such a title for the series, as it got much better reception than the last game, despite the genre change (3D to 2D).
I'm hoping for an Etrian Odyssey Origins physical release. The official website only lists a digital version but, Play Asia has a physical copy for preorder. Only thing is, there's no info if it's got English subtitles or dub. As for the Direct itself, I'm pretty happy with all the games coming out as these are the types of games I enjoyed playing.

I can't use words to express how much it hurts when I open a Shiny new Switch game only to have my eyes napalmed by nothing but white or regulatory information on the inside.

For Mario Kart fans! In the Direct press release, it mentions that “Returning characters from the Mario Kart series will be added in future waves.”
It's important to note that $69.99 is roughly £58 / €61, and Nintendo UK / NoE has been pricing many games at £59.99 / €69.99 for years such as Zelda BoTW. So really the price increase in America is just setting it to the same as Europe ;)
It also says on the website that Tears of the Kingdom will have DLC!!

I'm excited for Metroid Fusion to make its appearance, on the GBA on the Switch.
I'm stoked for prime after I finish up deadspace! It's basically new to me because I never got far as a kid.
Finally someone talks about the Atelier Marie remake! I saw this during the direct and it got me excited. I never played an Atelier game before, but being able to go back to the first game of a franchise with a modernized version sounds like a lot of fun to me... well I did order Atelier Sophie 2 anyways to keep me occupied until summer.
I think this is a good series concept, and is very useful, since there’s always info like this that can be tricky to find afterwards.

Another way to get around the $70 price when it comes to TOTK is to get it from the Australian eShop here the game is $89.95 (62.25 US dollars) on the eShop not only will you pay less for the game but you’ll also be able to play it early because of the time difference between here and the US the game will actually release here before it’s released in the US

Always amazes me how fast limited editions sell out in the US. Here in Australia all major retailers still have the Zelda Collectors Ed available to buy, and likely so for a few weeks longer. Never any rush here.
One thing they announced that i feel should be highlighted is the baten kaitos 1 and 2 remasters. Not many people know about this GameCube exclusives duology. These games were met with lukewarm reception at launch. They do however have a cult following and those of us that played these games are super hyped.
The first baten kaitos, was monolithsofts first project after they split from square. These are the devs behind Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. My guess is due to the dev company being so new and fresh, is that they put all their financial resources into development of the first game, and therefore due to limited funds, could not give the first game, enough push with advertising it, thus why it only sold just enough to warrant a sequel.
People need to learn of and play this duology. Perhaps if this gets good enough sales we will finally see baten kaitos 3, which was in development, but got cancelled.
Please, do everything you can to get the word out for this game. I cannot overstate this enough. These games were masterpieces, and i myself have been waiting for an eternity for something to be done with this franchise, as have the games cult followers.
One of the post-Direct things I saw is that Fashion Dreamer is from syn Sophia, the developers of the Style Savvy series - so despite the new name and publisher, it does seem to be a legit follow up to that series.

Jeanne D'Arc by level-5 might be one of the most formative videogames of my life. I'd love another dark, gritty, strategy game from them!
Sadly I'm not surprised about Ghost Trick getting shafted for physicals. I'm wondering how much promotion it's actually going get here in at least North America and Europe. Capcom USA tweeted the trailer then went right back to Resident Evil and the official Ace Attorney account retweeted the trailer but otherwise seems have low activity anyway. Meanwhile the Japanese account for Ace Attorney worked Ghost Trick into their design and has had several tweets about it and introducing the characters and some kind of Missile cushion for merch and it's all just really cute and nice to see. I might be a little bias and bitter haha but I don't want it to completely fly under the radar again...
Fingers crossed for Baten Kaitos. It seems a lot more likely to me too.
I think this is an excellent idea, Zion! Please continue this series :)

Hey, what do you know, there WAS a 3rd visual novel game announced (that will have English support...and is made by SE?!) You just had to watch the Japanese Direct. I swear Nintendo paid SE just so the Direct didn't become a visual novel meme like the last one was for farming. :p
1:46 This is what I've been trying to tell everybody online that the game was mis-labeled. Its NOT a big deal, its just that people are going to be surprised when they pick up the game and see the massive improvement Prime "remastered" has over Metroid Prime.
The JP direct also showed Rune Factory 3 Special, with a JP release date of March 2nd
Love this idea for a new series! I don't think you mentioned it in the video, and it's been highlighted elsewhere, but the Super Mario Advance 4: SMB3 e-Reader levels are available in the GBA app which I think is pretty gosh darn cool!
they did mention that in the Direct itself, although it was just a quick little sentence, so that was pretty easy to miss

After Nintendo closing down the 3ds and Wii U eshops I dont trust buying anything I want to keep for a long time off the eShop. Because unless you have a giant sd card theres no way to fit everything. Thats the reason im waiting til the 22nd to play Prime remastered.
Metroid Prime has two dates. 2/13. And the 22nd (for some retailers)
GameStop however does have it listed for the 13th next week. 🤔
But apparently it is shipping that day, but some are not sure if it will arrive same day, or later that week.
Nor has it been mentioned if it's a limited print run. So its a good idea to preorder just in case

OMG, I didn't know a remake of an old Atelier is coming out. I started with Lydie and Suelle, and now I've played the whole Mysterious Series, and the 2 Ryza games. So now I'm looking forward to Atelier Ryza 3, Pikmin 4, Fantasy Life i, Atelier Marie, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. My time and money will need a break, lol

Might I suggest the name, "N Direct", as in "Indirect"? Direct After is good idea, but to me it just implies an immediate impression of the Direct that just happened like other vlogs already do regularly. I think the name, N Direct, fits what you did here in this video. What do you think?
