  • To our dear photography fans, we are back! Today we are further exploring the world of analog film photography together with Prashanna.Today we will be trying an extinct medium in instant film called peel apart pack films.
Packfilms are currently no longer in production and supplies of the film is becoming scarce. Needless to say, we hope this video gives you a glimpse of the beauty of this medium and appreciate the predecessor to instant films as we know it today.
Prashanna has generously shared one of his (very precious and costly) remaining packs as we try out the ancient Polaroid 180 Rangefinder camera and experiment with this medium on this channel!

I would have used about a 05 or 10 magenta CC filter to correct green colour cast. My old SX-70 autofocus camera has just come out of retirement, and will also test same 600ASA film in some 5X4 inch cut film dark slides with another camera.

I should give that a try. Thanks for the advice!

Have you used One Instant’s new Packfilm and do you have any opinions on it?
Florian Kapps’ (Impossible Project) new company hand making it out of Vienna. It’s nowhere near as ‘clean’ as FP100c was but it’s still early days

Personally I havent tried it. But I have ordered some of the DIY packfilm kits and most probably will share our experience when it arrives. Unfortunately you might have to wait till next year as tentative shipping for it is in 2024 April onwards - Prash
