Fantastic video! I was recently confronted on a photo walk in my own neighborhood and it was very discouraging. It's been hard to get back out. I cross paths with the guy frequently and ignore him, but still kills my vibe worrying that he will be a meany poo poo head.
When i was back home n london I used to walk for at least 8 hours every saturday and sunday while my then GF was at work. I did this every weekend for near on 4 years. I would take around 6 rolls of 35mm over the period of the weekend. I amassed a huge amount of negatives. While walking I never "thought' anything. I just "did". Now i live where its hot most of the year and its difficult. Walking around in scorching heat is not a fun prospect for me. Or my skin. I also only shoot 6x7 so my time to film ratio has dramatically decreased. Also as your eye becomes more focused you tend to click less but the work is more coherent and better quality. Or so you would hope.
Being somewhere walkable is so huge. That sounds like a great time though. And I totally feel you- I used to do walks with an RB67… those walks aren’t as long as my 35mm walks these days haha
Yep. Go out, walk around with your camera, take pictures of what you see. Leave your expectations at home. Take an extra roll of film... just in case.
I love how every single step boils down to "just do it" but it still somehow managed to be insightful

Great video man. I personally like to do my photo walks without music. I feel more in tune with what’s around me and I immerse myself in to the shots.
Absolutely, I think there’s definitely a time and place but getting into the zone and in tune with your environment always helps.
very chill and tasteful, love how natural these vids feel. you deserve way more subs & views
That means a lot, thank you very much!
Glad you enjoyed:)

Never hurts to take a little drive and walk from there as well! No need to go somewhere you feel uncomfortable
Your perspectives on the world of photography are always a great refresh for the mindset I should have with my own photos
