Yes we are😊 less than month left! But we desperately need Western support. North Korea is entering the war against us and has already sent its first troops to Ukraine. :(((
I'm 99% sure the cannon ending for this game will be that whatever is making the zone expand, accelerates. We know that's part of the central narrative and I doubt the devs would pass up the chance to work with more locations down the road. I would love to see how the zone interact with modern areas etc.
It would be wild if we teleported through an anomaly just to end up quickly in the modern world. Thanks for taking the time to write this! Hope all is well!
You'll get 4 options right off the bat just like in the OGs I think... Probably a 'kill the zone' option w/ us trying to destroy the generators causing the emissions. Followed by an 'expand the zone' option where we do the opposite, maybe we fix the monolith or something. Then I suspect there will be a 'fuck the zone' ending featuring ward/duty. Maybe another ending w/ a secret where we disable the generator and something else (maybe some kind of hidden boss, Strelok 2?) and get the 'true' ending. I think the DLC will allow us to visit a couple of new areas (Maybe a more modern location outside of the zone that's near the perimeter? Maybe a new version of Limansk?)
Underground free exploration should def be a thing, but not just like in the original Stalkers. You go touch a door, loading screen, bam!...you are inside the lab already. No. I want it to be more like Metro. Huge underground tunnels connecting underground train stations and labs to explore. Safe areas, others not so safe. There are some train tunnels that are closed. Maybe you could buy information from a loner, or find a marked map from a dead stalker, maybe you heard stalkers talking about a hidden lab that's it's supposed to be around the area but they don't know if it's real or not. Exploring and finding a hidden ways to labs and exploring the underground "common" area would be so cool. I doubt it thou. Probably too big and not "necessary" for the game to work as intended. Maybe as an DLC or something who knows
At least from what we've seen so far, I think we'll get a mix of both. There's a lot of gameplay showcasing small subterranean zones w/o any load scenes (like the cave full of fire jet anomalies from COP). But there's also so far one or two cinematics involving Richter & Skif moving through or out of what seems to be either an abandoned facility or an X-lab's location. I think that we'll probably still have loadscreens for X-labs but otherwise subterranean locations will be normal.
Sircaa is a brilliant enemy, too. Setting the game 10 years after COP means that SIRCAA has had 10 years to retrofit the X-labs Strelock knew about & to create a presence in the Zone comparable to the original C-con scientists. I get the feeling there's going to be a few new X-labs at the minimum...
My biggest question is what happened to Strelok? a key figure like that doesn't just disappear from the zone like that. My suspicion is that the stranger is Strelok, but that has yet to be seen. Either way I am so excited for STALKER 2 and the wait is almost here. I'll see you in the Zone Stalker.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! From the ending of CoP we last know that Strelok is working as a scientist, but I agree with you that his business is not finished in the interior. See you in the Zone : )!
@ Hey man!!! Im looking forward to the immersion and enhanced gameplay, maps, threats, characters, factions and relations between each other. I really hope they build on the uniqueness of the zone with all of its faces and its mysteriousness!!! So far gameplay looks PROMISING!!!
Well, we already know partial answers to question one! We can glean from early trailers that the zone HAS indeed slowly expanded, as you can hear Skif stating that he saw an anomaly outside of the zone, which is the driving force behind our protagonist going to the zone in the first place. As for the Monolith forces, from what we've seen in trailers so far, it depends on the person. One is seen doubling down on their beliefs regardless of no longer hearing the Monolith. From that, we can assume some former Monolith stalkers would have the opposite arc, where they feel purposeless without the voice of the Monolith.
My theory is that C-con was just draining some of the noosphere power to feel like gods, but in fact they were just glorified leaches on some kind of lovecraftian overmind that may partially reveal itself in the end of stalker 2 leaving more questions than answers. As always the humanity in it's ignorance has opened a Pandora's box ant whatever was trapped within broke the cap
Not played stalker before but im going to be playing stalker 2, ill watch plenty of lore videos before i dive into stalker 2, also how gorgeous does the 2nd games graphics look, its looking great thabks for the video.
If you have the time, the original trilogy was rereleased onto consoles not too long ago, highly recommend! But if that’s not accessible, I have two retrospectives up, third one on the way, and some lore videos if you have the time. Can’t wait to play Stalker 2! What got you started with the franchise?
I also recommend you play the original trilogy to get a feel for it. The combat is super satisfying but, my God, is it long, arduous, and strenuous, especially in Clear Sky. Enemies are very good at pinpointing you, even behind cover, so you have to be either very observant or very quick to survive the hail of grenades. Plus the resource economy in CS is super unforgiving too, especially when it comes to bandages and medical kits. Most people hate CS for that reason, but I think it feels right in a "high risk, high reward" scenario like the Zone.
@Dog.Dad.Studios Metro franchise is what got me hooked into that style of game. Not sure if I'll have time to play the original trilogy before the 2nd game launches but if not I'll go back and play them at some point.
It would be cool if at the end of the game they wanted to destroy the Zone and this would lead to a large-scale catastrophe, a super-emission that would expand the Zone to new territories, the anomalies would become even more dangerous and the mutants more diverse, new anomalies and new rare artifacts would appear. This Stalker universe has endless potential for new stories.
I mean, historically speaking every journey to the centre of the zone leaves the place totally raptured by a fresh super emission. I imagine this next visit will have to shutter it permanently or it's going to go absolutely haywire and begin consuming more territory.
from what we've seen, it seem the guy from one of the first big trailers wants to protect "marvels" of the zone or maybe even share it with the rest of the of the world. Then the g man wants to control the anomalous energy for themselves. Your mission is probably join the g man and stop him ( probably the cannon one) or join him and let the super emission change everything (bad ending?)
You ought to give them a shot sometime! Play COP first and then if you still feel like you want more, play the originals modded to improve graphics and stability and enjoy them too!

so the blowouts still happen because of the puncture to the nu-sphere. The C-consciousness was what was holding back the energy. Since they are dead nothing is holding the zone back from expanding.
Would we consider what the brain scorcher or miracle machine to be blowouts as well? I guess strelok disables both, so the last one is in the CNPP? I hope we can destroy it or disable it like we did the others!
@@Dog.Dad.Studios no they are not blow outs. Like I said Blow outs in the game are an emission off nu-sphere energy. Think of the Miracle Machine as a range extender and defensive wall for the C-consciousness. The brain scorcher is a separate entity that was out of control. Both where turned off. The Miracle Machine I think for the most part is useless without the C-consciousness. Though it looks like we do revisit it in Stalker 2.
Hi, re questions, are there any cheats in Stalker 2? If there are artefacts that can give a 25 mile sprint it would perhaps be handy. Indestructible mode perhaps? Is there a storyline, a walkthrough guide?
I think the Topaz device we use at the start either analyzes anomalies outside of the zone, or it creates anomalies outside of the zone. Regardless, we run into some bad people and get robbed and lose it to them, waking up in the Lesser Zone and being attacked by some typical mud puppy
Also I would honestly be shocked if we didn't run into the Major in the game. They did mention there being 'bosses' like legendary stalkers, mutants, etc. So maybe some of our favourite npcs become bosses based on our trajectory through the game? Either way, not long to find out!
It is confirmed by GSC that the sequel takes place 10 years after COP. So I imagine certain mutants may be in short demand, and others should be explained through the discovery of x-labs.
Additionally, judging from all the gameplay I've seen. It appears many landmarks from the OG games will be making a major return, but I suspect due to the new fully open-world style of the new game, all of those landmarks will be re-arranged and some new things (and some old, cut things like the vehicle graveyard) may make returns.
Kinda hoping artifacts will be more unique and exciting to use this time around. A lot of the OGs just had them be little stat equalizers 90% of the time. It got pretty old pretty fast to swap between some arguably useless stat resist ones and the actually good endurance and carry weight ones. Idk. a part of me hopes that they borrow from Anomaly/Gamma and introduce artifacts that grant perks while equipt. Maybe they can do that and have a radiation they give off or maybe they nerf one of your stats a bit or something, but I'd take that over the ever-useless vendor trash artifacts that are so plentiful in cop
I have a question. Will we get to drive that vehicle that Cardan and Nitro were building together. Nah bur jokes aside my real question is, towards the end of CoP we find out there are mercs being hired by an unknown employer to find the X-labs. I wonder if this will be further explored.
@@Dog.Dad.Studios c con is evil in alot of ways but I do trust they were indeed trying to control the zones expansion somewhat. Strelok just opening fire like that and awakening monolith may not have a good ending. Afterall, he doesn't know wether he was right or wrong and he may never know, but he made it. And the fans should be thankful for that.
@@carcinogenical4389 Love this take! And it's what C-Con tells Strelok as well, that they're trying to protect the zone and keep its expansion in check, but they don't live forever, and at some point they'll die off, needing new people to head the project. It's going to be wild, but I hope they're around in some capacity that we can interact with! Or maybe we'll get an astral projection like Ganja talks about in Clear Sky! Thanks for taking the time to write this.
@@Dog.Dad.Studios I'd be shocked if any of them survived Strelok's gunning of the c-con, but perhaps that wasn't quite the truth. Certainly curious to see if he's somehow responsible. I mean, I am almost positive at the end of COP we get told explicitly that SIRCAA was formed after he joined Ukraine's scientific team. So he's responsible for them at least, probably helped guide the mission into the zone that is implied to have happened in the 10 years between COP & S2.
You mention the situation with the farm where in CS there is a stalker base but in SoC there is nothing... Well, compare dates of the second explosion in the games. Stalker has a really big continuity issue and many things contradict each other so don't expect Stalker 2 to have no retcons. Before that you mentioned cut content which... Well, it was an early concept and it wasn't cut because it had never been done in the game. There are tons of such things and you can read about them in the leaked concept documents which are available in the internet (they are written mostly in russian).
When you write it this way, I slapped my thigh. I guess I didn’t really think of the emission reaching all the way to cordon, since rookie village seems to be fine both times, but that makes a lot of sense! Thank you for writing this. And yes semantics be damned about “cut content” you’re right. Thanks for taking the time to write all of this and watch my content. I truly appreciate it! All the best, Dog dad
Don't know if it was really part of the original concept art from a decade ago. Is that frail tall psychic feral humanoid in the woods going to be part of the game?
I hope they make artifacts in stalker 2 more useful only useful artifacts in older stalker games were the ones with carry weight boost other artifacts were total bs because you had to have all 5 artifacts slots with the same effect artifact to get any noticeable protection to different types of anomaly damage or with endurance artifacts you have 1 endurance artifacts equipped then you can run 2 more seconds before getting exhausted hopefully they make artifacts more powerful and not some 0.5% boost to certain effects thats why most players dont use them and just sell them for money
Many questions will be answered when we play Stalker 2. I wonder if the game will have giant spider-ticks that will run along the walls and ceilings and jump in your face like the facehugger from Aliens
Doubt it, but we've seen some fun new things from the concept art, like the new Bayun, the new elk enemy & some new 'environmental' and 'elemental' versions of various mutants.
The 4th question doesn’t make any sense. Once one has been in the zone one can never escape it‘s grip. No amount of peace and civilization will help, one will always come back into the zone one way or another. That‘s the magic - no exact explanation because there is none. The question „what makes people get into the zone in the first place“ is a whole other story - for which there are multiple answers.
6:20 I don't really care if something was a long time ago if the next entry is branded as a follow up to the series it should acknowledge and expand on current cannon or lore. At least pay attention to it and try not to purposely go against what was established.
ngl. most of the questions would be something they would show us ingame. so instead of asking yourself this, you shoudl just wait till the game comes out to find out about it...

My question is: where are ma boys Ashot, Yar Nimble and Sidorovich??
If Sidorovich is not in the game we revolt
My Question: Is there a Stash System as in the triology? Or even better, like in the mods via Backpack or Cases 🤔
I have a question. Will we get to drive that vehicle that Cardan and Nitro were building together. Nah bur jokes aside my real question is, towards the end of CoP we find out there are mercs being hired by an unknown employer to find the X-labs. I wonder if this will be further explored.
I would love that, especially since the military also wants them classified after the Major confirms their existence at the Gauss rifle facility
I have a feeling this may be streloks fault
Could you possible elaborate on that thought? Thanks for taking the time!
"Kill what you don't understand." - Strelok
All the best,
Dog dad
Don't know if it was really part of the original concept art from a decade ago. Is that frail tall psychic feral humanoid in the woods going to be part of the game?
That would be spooky!!
I'll take anything spooky that's trapped in an x-lab : )
Doubt it, but we've seen some fun new things from the concept art, like the new Bayun, the new elk enemy & some new 'environmental' and 'elemental' versions of various mutants.
Here's the question I want answered.
Can I romance Sidorovich or not?
You give that man a piece of drumstick and you’re getting what you want! Hoping for full BG3 dialogue free hehe
Hey! Is this old guy on 2:10 the doctor? Will we know his story?
The 4th question doesn’t make any sense. Once one has been in the zone one can never escape it‘s grip.
No amount of peace and civilization will help, one will always come back into the zone one way or another.
That‘s the magic - no exact explanation because there is none.
The question „what makes people get into the zone in the first place“ is a whole other story - for which there are multiple answers.
6:20 I don't really care if something was a long time ago if the next entry is branded as a follow up to the series it should acknowledge and expand on current cannon or lore. At least pay attention to it and try not to purposely go against what was established.
Questions 11: Is Super Ultrawide supported or not?
21:9 should be in every game nowadays, it doesn’t make sense other than for competitive shooters not to have. Hope all is well!
If you pronounce major's last name as "Degterev" it will be close enough. The same way you pronounce "Lebedev".
I appreciate this sentiment!
ngl. most of the questions would be something they would show us ingame. so instead of asking yourself this, you shoudl just wait till the game comes out to find out about it...
I want to se metro references
WHERE ARE THE BEARS
Where are they?!? Maybe they didn’t want to be “like” Metro or something. Would love to see Bears as tanks lol
@@Dog.Dad.Studios Ive never played metro myself but man wildlife can be so cool in games like in Red Dead 2 it was awsome and with s.t.a.l.k.e.r. having survival elements it'd be so cool if you could hunt and skin and cook it over a fire. Just thinking about it gets me excited for mods like that if it's possible (I know that's a huge ask but a man can dream)
Definitely not 10 questions that most of us care about.
lol 😂 and without even a question of your own? Silly.
@@Dog.Dad.Studioshis question is probably like "will this be like gamma?" or "will the graphics be good?"
11. Will it be ever released?
It's releasing on it's scheduled date now. No more delays, I can tell because Moddb and Stalker Anomaly and various other modpacks have been forced to come into compliance with GSC's community guidelines. That hasn't ever happened before lol.
@@yakivpopavich leesss gooo!! 🙏🏻
Gamma even had a thing on the main menu about buying the trilogy ahaha
Why this stupid YT is always insta deleting my comments? I only said "leess gooo!"
@@Dog.Dad.Studios Yeah I'm too scared to update GAMMA now lmao, spent like a month or two getting my modified load order stabilized for 1.5.2.
Degtyarev is pronounced almost like Degtyaryov, the Russian weapons designer.
No need to thank me.
Well I will! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Pronouncing Cyrillic names is difficult as an English speaker, but I’ll try more. It’s a mystical language but beautiful!
5:15 That's not Ukrainian, it's Russian
Now it's modern to call everything Ukrainian...
))У, s.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2-російської небуде. російська озвучка йде курсом рашистського корабля-на@@@!
Ah this was my mistake, I had heard about them using Ukrainian for the second and assumed it was used in the previous iterations, apologies.
Whatever language it is in, it’s a powerful segment of the game.
@@Dog.Dad.Studios All 3 games used Russian voicing, but after the war started in 2022, the game studio decided not to use Russian language in the game ( only subtitles ).

Can you turn off, Press (F) key to take item.
Annoys me to hell and back... Yellow pain to.
I may be old, But I'm not stupid!
they mentioned you can turn off (most) UI elements
This game was vaporware for literally like 10 years. We as fans and the god tier mod devs kept the flame alive for them. Then we got real inklings of it actually coming out, and what happens? Oh yeah, Russia invaded their country and some of the devs left to fight a war. You're asking valid questions and I don't want to sound like an ass but for real Stalker 2 deserves all the slack it can get.
You lost me instantly at the " I hope this finds you well"
