One of the best songs ever in music history. Love Phil Lynott's voice, one of the best sounding vocalists to ever grace music. And Sykes is by far underrated, his tone and feeling are genius. It's a shame that Lynott is gone, truly one kind of a musican.
This was made back in -82 it was Sykes way in to Thin Lizzy Phil helpt him with the lyrics. The song was also on sykes Loveland record he made a slightly change on the intro and shorted down the solo. But this one is the -82 version.
i am 20 years old.. i have never heard of them but they are great. the best version of this song. The original. Sometimes i think if it would be better to leave in those years back. i love their music. Today's songs seem to be all the same. And most of the new songs have no meaning too..
Great video great song, beautifully sung by the great and sadly missed phillip Lynott. Would like to have heard this song with Brian Robertson playing guitar.
Classic song. BTW this is a short version. There's several studio versions. LP version has a longer guitar solo. I love every version even Pretty Maids cover, but the original LP version and live version by Blue Murder in Japan are the best for me. Check it out.
--- Ifyou love this song, Get Loveland and Out of my Tree at CDBaby com. Support the Artist and John will be asked by record companies to make more records.
Its ok, está bien. I consider my friend to anyone who talks that way of Lyzzy or Lynnot.
@Brys9876 This original version can't be topped. Prettymaids aren't bad,but they don't capture the feeling anywhere near the way phil's vocal and sykes guitar does.
Just Curious! Phil plowed quite a few beanfields in his time. So I wonder if he has an illegitamate son out there somewhere, thats playing bass & singing? That would be too fuckin cool!
@@tangerinerose3724 he he, nice one Rose. Poor Jackie, been waitng 13 years for that. But you Sykes fans know all about waiting I guess... Love ya Rosie, ..keep em comin..

these two were great together....Phil lives on forever!
what ever phil touches turns into gold.....
Just discovered this gem. What a fookin great song. I'm wired to enjoy all things Lynott
Sykes rocks - at the 10 year anniversary concert, he was Phil Lynott incarnate on vocals and his amazing self on guitar - he stole the show for me!
He's stolen more than that...
Phil is the most underated musicain ya he sold lots of records its not enough...from Korea
Best solo sykes ever done (in studio) in my opinion, best live, crying in the rain live 85

This is still an excellent piece of music by two great composers. I still cannot believe that Phil is not with us, oh such happy days!
Sykes guitar in this song shoots lightning thru me! Ultimate guitarist.
🎸⚡♥️💋🌹
This song has been in my head for weeks
maybe the greatest song in the universe
The song's really great!
John Sykes does this song live even better I think!

I remember buying this single at Newcastle in 1982, Phil & John were Great together!!!!
holy fuck! what a great song...
Minha mãe adora essa musica... =) fico como a musica de minha infancia!! =)
He - John Sykes - certainly has got THE tune. As was witnessed later on WS's Serpens Albus, i.e. 1987.
Damn.. this song really gets to you.. Its great. soo sad seeing phil lynott even though its soo long ago.
RIP Phil. You were great man!!
Cudowny utwór, niezapomniane lata 80-te. Ach to były czasy............!......!.....! A jakie sensowne solówki wycinali gitarzyści ?
This is a very great song, but listen to the same song with Pretty Maids.. 100 times better and performance to =)
Sweet and delicate, Lynott could be a really sensitive performer, he sings this with such feeling
that john makes the guitar mourn
i love this song. }********PURE********{

TY phil RIP
Just a must listen too! It doesn't get any better than this
So great, I like all Phil Lynott, thanks for sharing :)
I Put up this video originally from an old vhs tape not Zineztrox but it doesn't matter really long as you all enjoy it
You both right and wrong. Yes, Phil died in 1986 but John re-recorded this song using Phil's vocals for his 1997 album Loveland.
We miss you Phil 🎶🎸♥️
Original by John Sykes & Phil Lynott "Please don't leave me" 1982.
increibles....Phillllllllllllllllllll is excellent..!
ty so much Phil,,RIP ALWAYS
an awesome find !
Poor phil, exhausted on this one
Amazing.

thank you Phil ,RIP
Be wary that Phil's solo albums are mainly pop and are quite a contrast to Thin Lizzy's rock albums. I love TL too!
Liked that a lot
10+
this song was on John sykes album loveland that came 1997 but it was made in 1984 i think
Tops
please don't leave me!!!
I want to make sure that my suspicions were right
@Brys9876 : I like that, too. It's in a slower tempo. Both are great.

Great song! Was it really released in 1997? Sounds very much 80ish!
Was the early 80's...
@CastAirLead Its hard to find, I have it off-its takes time to learn!
no i cant be an re-recording of the song... this is the original song....
Its ok, está bien. I consider my friend to anyone who talks that way of Lyzzy or Lynnot.
@Brys9876 This original version can't be topped. Prettymaids aren't bad,but they don't capture the feeling anywhere near the way phil's vocal and sykes guitar does.
Great song, I know that this is the original, but I like pretty mads' version better, it's a bit slower very cool
saludos !
Just Curious! Phil plowed quite a few beanfields in his time. So I wonder if he has an illegitamate son out there somewhere, thats playing bass & singing? That would be too fuckin cool!
What an idiotic comment.
This song would make a very excellent break up song,(if you're the male getting dumped)
Can somebody please tell me which album was it from? honestly I couldn't find it... :(
cheers~
@rick3674 actually ,some needs to 'grab yer gear ' and crush it to pieces''you my friend don't know good music when you hear it''!!!

If you don't like Phillip Lynott or Black people in general don't post on this site or keep your comments to yourself.
Is this an official video or just a TV broadcoast that they're lipsyncin' to?
Lip syncing. Notice the instruments aren't plugged in. 😉

she has a constitutional right to flirt
Kayla Schulz Did anyone ever tell you you're a mentalist?

@DJCalusTracks
Well, that sucks for you. (Not trying to be an ass). Hope you're not bummed too bad about it.

@SummernlightningUSA Nice one nigga!

They're lip-syncing. No instruments are even plugged in. Lol
