When you go back and look about 20-30 min later like you said. If you see visible bubbles do you use the torch again? I keep having issues with bubbles over my vinyl decals. I’m using a heat gun
Depending on how fast your epoxy cures you can go back and pop those bubbles with a torch again at 20 minutes. The key to less bubbles on the cup is to make sure there’s as little as bubbles as possible in the mixing cup before applying to your tumbler
I'm having a hard time with the bottom edge of my glitter tumblers. How do you get a smooth finish on this edge? Mine sometimes is still bumpy, even after a couple of layers of epoxy and sanding between layers? Thank you!
Rims are always a struggle, I always come back when my epoxy starts setting and thickening and there’s a little bit left in your mixing cup, then add a little more around the rim, it will look too thick but it will level out.
How do you keep the larger tumblers still and even on the turner? I have a 40oz and a gallon tumbler that I can’t figure out how to keep the weight even on the turner.
I'm late to the game, and using a different brand of epoxy, but I am getting little tiny "gummy" bits in my epoxy after spreading it on the cup. I've changed mixing cups, heated, etc, but it is almost like they develop on the cup. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I AM guilty of using 91% alcohol to wipe the sanding residue off...
Yes of coarse. It’s just a little kitchen torch I got on amazon. A heat gun will pop bubbles but also move your epoxy around too much, a torch just pops the bubbles without having to add as much heat and air blowing.
Adding a clear spray coat helps alot!!! Spray it all over after about 4 hours off adding the glitter dust any excess of glitter apply the spray coat let it dry, I usually let it dry over night and the glitter stays on!!
I really would get one honestly the difference between two tumblers I’ve just done is so noticeable. One that I forgot to torch looks almost like it has a haze
There is a few reason you can get fish eyes, not enough epoxy, too much torching after epoxy, and room temperature. I will torch one time after I apply then not torch again, my room stays between 70-75 degrees
Are you talking about the medicine cups? If so, I reuse mine, I leave the stick I stirred the epoxy with and let it sit over night, next morning pull the stick and all the Epoxy residue comes with it and it’s good as new
What can I do if I can’t get bubbles out with torch? I’m having a hard time with bubbles 😭

Diamonds and Dust that's a great tip! Thank you. I'll try it next time.

I just shoved the top onto a mini football really tight

It could be the brand of epoxy you are using.
What do you use to make the tumbler turn? I want to get things set up, but idk what tools you use to make it turn.
It’s called a cuptissere or a tumbler turner
Beautiful!
What brand and color names are used in this video/
All glitter is from diamondsanddustshop.Etsy.com.
The glitter colors are easy breezy, you jelly and hot mess
Can you tell me more about your torch? Where did u get it anything special why the torch and not your heat gun

Have you ever had a tumbler with ripples underneath the cured epoxy? If so, do you know what caused it?
Make sure you’re using a high quality epoxy and adding enough that it self levels.
@@DiamondsandDust thank you for responding! I use Alumilite for the most part. I will continue to work at it! 🙂
How do I get it to come out smooth. I sanded, wiped alcohol to clean it up, put my epoxy on, but as its turning it looks blotchy......
I do not wipe with alcohol in between coats, it can cause the epoxy to repel. I just wipe the sanding dust off with a paper towel
How do you get bubbles out on NON GLITTER CUPS??????????
I always stir slow. You want as minimal bubbles in your cup before you apply.
I'm running into the issue of glitter spreading around when I am applying the epoxy...any pointers?
You need to spray seal your glitter before epoxy
Adding a clear spray coat helps alot!!! Spray it all over after about 4 hours off adding the glitter dust any excess of glitter apply the spray coat let it dry, I usually let it dry over night and the glitter stays on!!
Thank you for your help ladies! Do you always sand the glitter and then add the sealant? Sorry I'm new at this! TIA
@@amandalammers29 you apply glitter then seal it with a clear sealer let dry then epoxy .
What motor do you use to turn the tumbler?
This was my very old turner, it’s just a rotisserie motor.
How is you bottle placed on your turner? I am having issues with my bottles. Please help. Lol
I tried everything I could think of, but what works best for me is just to shove a football in the top until it doesn’t wobble around.
Why do you use the stone coat vs the art resin?
The stone coat is a little thicker and cures faster.
Both are a great choice.
Do you need a heat gun for the epoxy?
It’s very helpful to have a heat gun or a torch. It helps pop bubbles
I really would get one honestly the difference between two tumblers I’ve just done is so noticeable. One that I forgot to torch looks almost like it has a haze
I keep getting fish eyes I do it like u...dont understand why? Can u help?

What I learned is also from the grease from your hands. Make sure to clean your cup with rubbing alcohol ❤️
How long did you wait before applying the rest of the epoxy on the tumbler? Do you wait for it to get a bit tacky
This was my final coat and I did the 1st coat the day before
Isn’t this a waste of cups?
Are you talking about the medicine cups? If so, I reuse mine, I leave the stick I stirred the epoxy with and let it sit over night, next morning pull the stick and all the Epoxy residue comes with it and it’s good as new
Diamonds and Dust yes, I see how everyone just pour in and throw away. Thanks for the explanation because I didn’t know that you can do that.
I didnt think u could use same cup...that u used for part a?
If you mix in a cup with measurements on the side in one cup it’s fine. If you are dumping one cup into another is when it’s frowned upon.
