This is literally terrible. When I heard the Justice League were gonna return, I was expecting an awesome final chapter with new cutscenes and dialogue from the League but instead all we get is a comic strip narrated by Harley? Rocksteady I’ll never forget about this.
They don’t want spend high budget for something already failed so they just given these lame cutscenes I’m glad Batman alive but doesn’t explain where he was at or something like the flash and green lantern had cutscenes
They are with a skeleton crew, there is no budget for it, that is probably the reason why they stopped adding cutscenes since season 2 and only had comic strips and audios in season 3 and 4
It wasn’t their choice to make the game, Rocksteady was forced by WB to make it. WB just wanted to jump on the live service bandwagon wagon and make money at players expense, I will bet that Rocksteady devs wanted to make a Batman: Beyond Arkham game as a sequel to Arkham knight.
Almost every decision Rocksteady and WB made around this game was the wrong one. It would've been WAYYYYYYYY better if, for example, you are able to kill the Flash in the beginning, you bring his body in, Lex runs tests and discovers that he's a clone. With this clone, you are able to trace back it's origin to a different universe to rescue the real Flash. Thus, you play the rest of the game with the mindset that in order to save the JL and the multiverse, you need to defeat/kill their clones. This would have allowed for a lot more flexibility and fun in the narrative and players would embrace killing the JL in more creative ways (including WW) rather than feeling weird about it and actively destroying the Arkham-verse. Its crazy to think that they chose to keep the player in the dark for almost a year and then reversed everything with a 2min animated cutscene (WW and Robin still dead).
Better idea for the story. but game would still be repetitive and not so fun. Honestly they should have done something different with the Gameplay like single player strategist rpg game where the player has to make choices and sacrifices, as the whole point of suicide squad is that it literal death sentence of a mission that not everyone on Squad will make out alive. It really stupid the Squad can not only defeat the justice league and brainiac unscathed and get more members and kill more Brainiacs. Have where you have all characters at the start and overtime in story or player losing a member during battle, they squad size slowly wither down adding tension on the player on who should they keep alive to beat the game

All that matters to me is that Batman is alive and HE defeated the final Brainiac right there. And actually, Now that I think about it, Maybe it was best Batman didn’t have any lines here. If it did, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths wouldn’t be Kevin’s final performance anymore.
Agreed, I think his lines in that movie were the perfect close-off for his character and, in a way, it was respectful that Rocksteady kept that intact. This game ends with the confirmation that the Arkhamverse Batman never took a life, never gave up his code, and was never killed. In the end, the real Arkhamverse Batman helped to save the world with his contingency plans and landing the final hit. That's enough for me. Kevin's performance in this game was amazing and another testament to why he is the definitive Batman for me and so many others. Seeing him play an evil version of Batman I think solidified that he could play this character from every possible angle.

To this day I can’t figure out why they didn’t make a Batman-powered Brainiac boss fight. Yes, I know that Batman doesn’t have any powers but they literally address this when they first encounter the Batman infused enemies. Everyone agrees that the Batman Experience boss fight was one of the best parts of the game. And the Demon Bat fight was also really cool. So we could’ve had something similar for Brainiac. But no, instead we get to repeat the same three Green Lantern, Flash and Superman fights over and over and over again. And then they wonder why nobody was excited about post launch content

Makes me sad. This was my most anticipated game since it's reveal, mostly thanks to the addition of JL to the Arkamverse, and DAMN, did they cook! The designs, voice actors and personalities were 10/10 (who thinks Superman is cringe, stupid or something doesn't know Superman, this is exatly how he would act, except the "we all go in", he would've listened and probably gone in with just GL or sth.) All Rocksteady had to do is include a small tease after Superman boss fight that JL is on the Skull ship and making clones and it wouldn't have this much hate. So much lost potencial...

I'm so conflicted. Part of me wants this to be retconned as an Elseworlds event still set in the Arkham multiverse; but then there's a part of me that's intrigued with the implications this game left off with maybe this version of the League is more multiversal (akin to how the Tomorrowverse handled the Justice League's expanded roster), Luthor for Congress could make for an interesting story for a Superman game, & most obviously another Batman game that really focuses on where the Bat-Family is at after the events of KTJL (mostly explaining what truly happened to Tim if they wind up bringing him back). Overall though I'm more curious to see what's to come for the Arkhamverse after this.
I guess we'll never get to see wtf that little braniac alien was. I hope we get some insider info about what this game was supposed to be and all the scrapped ideas. I always have fun listening to things like that.
Im still sad. The addition of deathstroke made complete the game and get platinum I went after every brainiac in hopes of having a proper end.....and i get this
ngl, of all brainiac boss fights, I loved this one the most Not one, not two, but Three Brainiac variants pouring everything to give challenge was worth it (I fought them at sweating bullet difficulty and somehow it WAS sweating during that final fight)

An unfortunate end. I truly thought that this game would surprise us in the end. I loved the story, I loved the beginning. Being a villain, seeing a Metropolis distraught. But medieval times? Comic strip cutscenes? They didn’t try near the end, when it mattered most. I feel bad for supporting them, but I don’t regret it. It was fun while it lasted. This is just not the right game. I don’t want any more Batman. I just want Wonder Woman now lol but that’s a decade away too smfh. Idk what I’m doing on a Batman channel lol. It’s been fun, but I think I have to move on from Arkham.
