Just bought this for my toddler and was pretty irritated to find out that the swivel won’t work for his configuration. HEADS UP!
Oh man! 😕 I was looking into it because of the swivel feature. It would make it much easier with my twin girls, but once they face forward if it doesn’t swivel, then it’s not worth purchasing to me. Hi there! Great question. Latch anchors typically have a much lower weight capacity usage, so using the seatbelt can be easier to install so you don't have to worry about reaching that max capacity as quickly! So they are optional to use as long as you just use the seatbelt instead. :)

How does the seat stack up against the Nuna Rava in terms of comfortability? Both the Nuna RAVA and Sirona S have comfortably padded seats, cushions and headrests, so either model would be a great option for your needs! All car seats on the U.S. market pass government safety standards so aren't rated by safety, but you can find independent testing from companies like Consumer Reports. Since the Sirona S is so new to the market, it is likely too soon to have been independently rated but it's the first U.S. convertible car seat to feature a load-leg to reduce rebound motion in an accident.

I know this answer is probably too late for you, but I think there's no way this would fit in a BRZ when in rear-facing mode - the top of the car seat will hit the back of the front seat. In an 2013 ES300h, with the front seat adjusted for my 5'4" wife, it barely cleared. I also could not for the life of me get a secure installation.

When I bought this I was not aware that the swivel feature only works in the rear facing position. So that only lasted about 14 months and now it’s back to a regular car seat that wobbles more than others. I would not recommend this car seat to others.
@Strolleria it takes about 10+ mins to detach the tether from the back of the car's set to be able to use the swivel feature. That is not a viable option. Once the tether is in place it should not be removed over and over. You risk an error and not having it secure if there is an accident.

I just got this seat, and despite being an automotive engineer could not get a secure installation in either of our two vehicles. After struggling for 30 minutes it seemed like I achieved less than 1" of movement at the belt path, but after a light bump from adjusting the front seat between my and my wife's seating position, it totally loosened up and was possible to rotate the seat base 90 degrees. This was in a 2013 Lexus ES300, a little better in a 2015 Sienna due to adjustable vehicle seat recline, but still woefully insecure. Again, automotive engineer here with a degree in mechanical engineering. I spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time reading and re-reading the manual before and during the install. My overall impression is that this seat, with its box that proudly proclaims its German Engineering, represents the absolute worst aspects of "German Engineering" - overly complicated with almost outright disdain for ease of use, an attitude something like "if you have an issue with this, it's because you aren't a good enough customer". The first page of the instruction manual prominently displays the stat that 75% of people do not install their car seats correctly. I wonder if making a 100+ page extremely convoluted instruction manual will make that stat better, or worse? Hmm...

I did not actually purchase from Strolleria, and don't live near a store, but wanted to share my thoughts in case it helped anyone avoid a potential headache or safety issue. Maybe it has better compatibility in some vehicles than others, although our two vehicles have quite different seat designs and seatbelt angles (fixed-back sedan rear bench vs. reclining, sliding bucket seat in the Sienna). IMO the primary issue is that the seatbelt path is too far aft in the base, so regardless of how tight you get the install, in many vehicles the belt is applying tension almost entirely downward, rather than also pulling the base into the seatback, if that makes sense. This means there is very little force actually keeping the base pulled back into the seat. I will try to post a video this evening to UA-cam demonstrating the issue, and will definitely follow up if/when I do.
