Can the seat be used without the base? There doesnt seem to be a way to strap a seatbelt to it if you didn’t have a base in an emergency and had to use someone elses car for example

How the hell do you lengthen the crotch strap, instruction manual is clear as mud and driving me nuts. It says to twist the strap through the slot but there isn't enough slack

I'm really confused....when the seat is facing out of the car so I can put my toddler in it....to get it forward facing I have to spin her all the way round to the back and then to forward facing on a 270 degree spin. It wont allow me to just do a 90 degree spin to the front. What am I doing wrong??!!

This car seat is not designed for every car. I installed in my nissan rouge and the base wasnt secured, it kept wiggling doesnt matter how much I tightened the seatbelt. And the carseat movement isn’t smooth as show the video.

I asked this on FB and got an answer.... Basically, the M doesn't swivel, the S does swivel, the Q is like the S with the added feature of the impact shield for forward facing.
Too much variation, increasing risk of severe errors. Music just irritation when trying to pay attention, needless. The best child restraint system is only as good as it is properly installed and the child is secured properly. This seat has so many variations that increase the risk of errors.

When I bought this I was not aware that the swivel feature only works in the rear facing position. So that only lasted about 14 months and now it’s back to a regular car seat that wobbles more than others. I would not recommend this car seat to others.
No the swivel feature does not just work in rear facing. My daughter is 3 and still using this car seat. You are using it incorrectly. This is the best (and most expensive) car seat I have ever used and having 7 kids I have bought a lot! I will be using the same model for her baby sister when she out grows her infant car seat

Brilliant seat and base. However, one fact is so stupid and cruel: ua-cam.com/video/OWzYlgxWrEc/v-deo.html: if you de-install the base, the base is signing the entire time - for hours, days and weeks till battery is power is low - with cruel signal "peeep" that the sensor has no contact to the ground. No chance to switch it off or to fix it.

In order to stop it from beeping when out of the vehicle, you must put the load leg into the shortest position and fold it under the base so the end of the load leg goes into the slot that is in the bottom. And it ejects the leg immediately after max 5 seconds by itself as it is not fixed - and/or the pressure of the leg too high. The result: "Peep"... and if I have a look at google for solving this problem: I am not alone. The only solution is gaffer tape.... for an quite expensive seat and base... Fingers crossed that the product manager will read it. The rest of the seat (and base) is quite nice.

I have got the requirement of a quite expensive base (and seat) that you are able to design a base where the leg will rest in the niche (by itself and not via the pressure of the base and only if the base is on top of the leg) or you can deactivate the function. Don't tell me that this bug is a feature.

It doesn't show how to use the cushion. Also tge one i recieved os different to this model i dont have a slider to extend iso fixtires on the base.
