Hi, thanks for review. I've got reverb variation of this amp and it's really nice. Looking good and sounding good, quite loud and round in tone. Knobs work excellent, guitar cable socket is so smooth. Good choice for small, very portable amplification. Best regards from Poland!
Just picked up this one from shop and I am super happy with it. Tried also MG10 which was also great. For weeks I have been watching all yt videos about these mg amps, severely obsessed. But still I can say that the videos wont really prove you how good these amps sound. So big recommendations from me if you are planning to get one. It sounds amazing!
Marshall has my vote. In fact I got a Marshall MG 15 amp for my birthday 4 years ago. Plus I also have a Korg G3 guitar performance processor and Ernie Ball Jr volume pedals that I plug my Squier Stratocasters into.
I recently bought a Marshall MG10 after i saw your video of that amp. I really like your video’s. I like your (simple) chord progressions. I start playing the progression from your MG10 video and it sounds really cool. Are the chords you play in thus video at the clean channel also powerchords but picked 1 string at the time?
I am trying to dial in on a second amp for multi-use. I LOVE the sound of these amps, but.... I see a lot of complaints about the constant hissing (white noise, not buzz), and I can even hear it in THIS video. I am not sure if this is even an issue for me, but I am noticing it more and more. Thoughts?
Hmm, I think that most likely it won't bother you. I agree that it may be annoying especially when you're playing very loud but to be honest most amps at this price level have some kind of white noise anyway. So I wouldn't really worry about that :)
I just bought this amp with pacifica012, didn had much budget, but it works perfectly fine, there is a big of buzz if gain is too high, other than it's pretty good, normally there is no buzz unless the gain is b/t 8-10
hi i would like to buy pac012 and a amp but i m so struggling to choose a amp should i choose mg15 or katana mini and may i know is that pac012 and mg15 nice to pratice and the sound quality good? thx a lot
@@limpy2esther-zw5fk personal opinion, I belive they do, but mg15 does lack many settings, espically reverb, consider buying mg15gr, coz further you would need reverb, the price is like 25 dollars more
Shifting from an acoustic guitar to electric, I'll go w yamaha Pacifica 012, my main course of playing is distortion so which one should i go for? Mg10 or 15? And yeah I'll play within a room only. Thank you, kindly reply :)
Both will be good but I'd say that the MG10 will be more functional for bedroom playing. MG15 is a bit louder but you'll probably won't use that volume in your room. On the other hand, the MG10 doesn't have the EQ like MG15 so it also depends whether you want it or not :)
@@bestguitarsnow i am very new to this can you please explain what does equaliser do your amp and guitar and over all the sound? I'll mostly play distortion in the guitar will it be useful for me?
@@Meteoronee EQ gives you more control over your tone (you have three controls - bass, middle and treble). So you can adjust it all to your own preferences, it slightly changes your final tone. It's a useful thing but if you're just starting out then it's not necessary :) so MG10 will be fine anyway!
Man theres just no replacement for that Marshall tone. Do you think its good for using effects pedals as well? Because between this, theres Peavey 110 1x10 inch 40 watts And Cort CM30 with bluetooth and really good cleans. 10 inch speaker as well. Mg15gr however seems lackluster and its only winning factor is the Marshall od. In which however Marshall wins because you can play many songs with the Marshall tone
Sure, it works great with pedals :) I never used these amps by Peavey and Cort but to be honest the MG15 has all you need.. you can never go wrong with that!
It's louder than the MG10 but I'm afraid that it may still not be loud enough for rehearsals especially if your drummer is playing loud. But you'd definitely get better results with that one
Wow, so many views! Thanks for watching guys and if you think that this video is helpful, consider subscribing to my channel - it will help me grow :)!
When I was young ALL of these cheap practice amps sounded like absolute crap. The first decent sounding was the Valvestate, but it was much more expensive in comparison, than this. But this one here actually sounds good.
Maybe your guitar's ground is not connected? Try if its still humming without a guitar or any plugged in. Humbuckers should be silent when the you touch the strings or metal parts in your guitar. Single coils however are naturally loud but it should also silence the humming a bit when youre touching the guitar
Get the mg15 with the built in effects, and upgrade the speaker, or if you have a decent cab, get a line out mod done to it. The stock speakers in these cheap marshalls are GARBAGE. Do something about that, and THEN these are cool little amps. I bought one, and its good for the price around $50-$70 bucks. But I wouldn’t pay any more considering you need money left over to get mods done to it to sound good. In my opinion

?why its hissing?
Any significant difference between the 10 and 15? Asking for a teenage kid for house practice.
15 has EQ, it's also a bit bigger and it can get louder. But both will be great for home practice :)
Is the mg15 loud enough to be heard over a live drummer? Or is it quieter then a drummer and cannot be heard
it should be okay with a live drummer :) but if you need some extra power then Marshall MG30GFX will be better

or should i choose a mg10
I think that the MG10 will be more than enough for a condo. But the MG15 on low volume also sounds pretty good!
Does it have humming sound? Is it normal to have humming sound for Mg15 amplifier? Thank you
Yeah slight humming is normal, but if it's unbearable then something may be wrong. Sometimes it's actually caused by the pickups, not by the amp
